What To Expect From The Chris Brown Arraignment Today...

Chris Brown CBrown090708rc.jpg It's still not certain whether or not the District Attorney's office will file charges against Chris Brown today, but it looks like there might be even more evidence to help support their case.

Several different media outlets are reporting that on the night of the attack, Rihanna told police Chris had acted violently towards her in the past and that the attacks were getting more violent over time. Additionally, TMZ reports that additional pictures of Rihanna's battered face were taken the day after the attack, and her injuries look even WORSE in these shots.

E! Online is reporting that Chris' attorneys are in talks with the DA's office about a possible plea deal where the R&B singer would receive probation rather than jail time. A source tells E! that Chris' attorney Mark Geragos was "downtown meeting with the DA on Monday," but it's unclear whether or not prosecutors and Chris' legal team will reach a compromise.

So what could happen in court today? Here are a few possible scenarios:

  1. Chris could be charged with several felonies, including domestic violence and making criminal threats (both of which have a maximum sentence of three years in state prison). If he's charged with a felony, Chris will be required to appear in court, and he may enter a plea.
  2. The District Attorney could decline to file formal charges and refer the case to the City Attorney's office for less serious charges
  3. The case could be delayed, pending further review by the DA's office.

What would you like to see happen to Chris?

Do you think he'd survive in jail?

Nothing!! He's a celeb and a first time offender!

I can't help but wonder if Rhianna really did marry him this weekend. Isn't there some kind of law that says you don't have to testify against your spouse or something?

I want him to do jail time.90 days, then probation and mandatory psychological counseling for two years. While he's in jail, I want him to get his ass kicked, his eyes blackened, his windpipe choked off, and his nose busted. I want him bitten and bruised and bang his head against the wall. Chris has a black belt,he's into martial arts. Even Ray Charles can see he works out with weights, so if he punches you in the face, it's like being hit with a battering ram. POW! She says he kept getting worse. So, maybe he's doing drugs, too. I think he wants to put her down. Otherwise he would of hit her in the stomach where no one can see it. He will kill her if he can, so they need to put him on the record. It will happen again. Plus, she is getting a lot of threats from hard core thugs.

Women are stupid they enjoy getting beaten up by their boyfriends. She will never testify against him because she is a fool.

I was thinking that too. Either way, he's a douchebag and she is stupid. She is setting a very bad example if she's supposed to be a "role model". Unlike most battered women, she has no children, access to money and a place to stay, she' probably got 5 places to stay, so she has NO reason to stay with that douche bag other than she "loves him" - why anyone would love someone that treats them like garbage is beyond me. She's stupid.

I just want the truth not judging till then

He should be charged...but the public and celebs alike will say; like Paris.......that they are being made an example of. Its too bad our people are too scared of thier own shaddow's. Or possibly isolating themselves from getting work in Hollywood. Some celebs have opted to say "poor Chris" so they won't get ousted from ever working with him in the future in case this alll blows over. It's all about the $$$$$....That's sad what kind of message is that sending to young men & women. For shame California!!!!!

Something tells me this Ape will get off with a slap on the wrist.

She needs to leave him and he needs to go to jail for longer than the celeb average 1 day

He deserves to be charged to the fullest extent of the law and to receive a punishment that fits the crime. I do not condone any violence. I also have been through physical abuse and went back. Stupid me. He is now out of my life after me losing a fairly large sum of money just to get away and be safe. It was worth the loss. Money does not buy you self-worth or life.

I wonder if charges were pressed against Rihanna when she attacked her brother? Should she have went to jail for that? Domestic violence is domestic violence!

Are all you people crazy. Is this what America has become. We are the last people on the planet to hear the truth, know the truth, be able to see the truth. The media shapes things for their advantage, we don't know what happen, ever. The only people who know, is the two of them, God, and any person who has read the police report. Period. I'm so sick of people judging others for mistakes that we all make. We are all human, and let any one without sin cast the first stone. Shut the hell up already! Move on!

I am a grandmother and I think everyone is judging chris brown too hard. He is young and sometimes when you are young you do a lot of foolish things. Give him a chance and let him get counselling and I think he will be a better person. I love him very much as if he was my grandchild and I watch his movie so many times. I think the people should lay off of him and give him a chance.

Give Chris a break| We do not know what happened between them and who are we to judge. God knows what transpired between them so just leave it alone. I wish him the very best and hope that he has learnt his lesson, not to hit a woman although sometimes you are provoked to do so, just walk away and count to ten. I love and admire these two young people and hope that they will be successful in life. I also think that the people who are judging him should give him some slack.
