Xtina To Strip For 'Burlesque'

Britney's tried it. Madonna keeps trying it even though everyone wishes she would stop. And now Christina Aguilera is going to try and make the jump from the world of pop music to films.

For her first movie, Xtina has smartly chosen a vehicle that doesn't seem like to much of a stretch for her: She'll play a stripper in a new movie called Burlesque. It should be familiar territory for her, anyone remember the Lady Marmalade video???

According to Variety, Aguilera will play an ambitious small town girl with a big voice who finds love, family and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club.

The film is being written and directed by Steven Antin, who probably learned a thing or two about the world of burlesque dancing from his sister, Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin.
