David Beckham may have taken a lot of heat for his play (or lack thereof) since the Los Angeles Galaxy signed him to the biggest contract in MLS history, but apparently we can expect that to change once he gets back! The AP is reporting that, when booking an upcoming friendly with the Galaxy, the New Zealand club Wellington Phoenix had it written into the contract that the famous footballer had to play for no less than fifty-five minutes! Hey, the club just wants their money's worth - and for that matter, so do the Galaxy!
Hopefully Wellington Phoenix tell their defenders to take it easy on David - after all, if it weren't for a defender's overzealousness, he wouldn't be out right now in the first place!
