The Writer's Guild announced last night that they just reached an agreement with David Letterman's company, Worldwide Pants, which owns not just The Late Show, but The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson as well.
That means Dave will return in the New Year WITH all of his writing staff. Jay Leno will return with new episodes the same night, but sans writers.
Who will YOU watch in the new year?
My vote is and always has been for Dave!

Jay sucks! Dave has class that is why the WGA is letting him back with his writers. DAve is also the one who paid his staff during the strike, Jay tried to get out of it....what a loser
David Letterman is so old and not funny without an army of underpaid writers, even then he's not funny, same jokes year in year out, and that whiney little rodent Paul Shitfer. How this show stays on air is a mystery. Must be the whole mafia thing.

Even if Dave went back without his writers, he would still be funnier than Jay Leno with writers.
Now I hope the strike runs through another sweeps month, because Letterman will stomp that whiney Leno's ratings.

David, Leno and writers have agreed no matter how much they increased the writers pay they could never make them funny and the writers could never get another job after this one realizing this they are going back to work.
Maybe next millennium we'll get some funny comedians.
