Both parents are alcoholics at least Michael is now sober but not Dina. Lindsay after 3 times in rehab continues to drink despite the fact that she has had two duis in less than a four month span and cocaine on her, indicates she has a serious alcohol and drug addiction and it runs on both sides of her family. The family is obviously suffering from mental problems on both sides, Dina appears to be a borderline personality disorder and Michael appears to be bipolar and Lindsay appears to be both combined with a narrcisstic personality. I really don't see with the mental disorders on both sides and the alcoholism on both sides and her unwillingness to stop drinking and using drugs how she is ever going to get her life on track. She needs a conservatorship like Britney, she has lost everything money, fame, her career due to drugs, mental problems and alcohol abuse all by the age of 21.
