I don't think she's trying to look white. I don't think most--and by most--I mean 99.9% of them--- black women want to look white. Why would we? We are beautiful, come in every shade of the rainbow, have a multitude of features, hair textures, body types. We age VERY well--black don't crack. We don't need lip injections, butt implants, fake tans (like a lot of white women are PAYING TO GET). Most don't need breast implants either.
I don't think most black women would trade in their color for anything. I know I would not. I love my beautiful brown skin and all of my features. I also love to be able to play with my hair (I have below shoulder length natural hair..I don't color my hair..so it's naturally dark brown/black). I've had my hair short like the old Halle Berry style and I've worn weave/extensions and will do so again to give my hair a break.
