sar, I have a wild and crazy idea that he may be wearing the shirt because his Dad is British and they are soccer fans? Just a wild guess. Crazy, I know.

Of course he is wearing the football kit because his dad is British and a football fan. That kit happens to be for Sunderland A.F.C., the Black Cats.
