The effortlessly stunning starlets, Gwyneth Paltrow and Elizabeth Hurley (along with fellow spokesmodels Hilary Rhoda and Carolyn Murphy), were at Bloomingdales in NYC yesterday to launch Estee Lauder's latest fragrance, Sensuous.

Sometimes we're pro-Gwyn and sometimes not, but she really looks fantastic in that white dress and those YSL shoes! And who better but these four ladies to define elegance and class?

I don't know about "sensuous," but elegance and class for sure!

Is the Ritchies' famous friend, Gwyneth Paltrow acting as a marriage counselor during the couple's time of crisis or just a shoulder to cry on?

Gwynnie (seen here) showed up at the couple's Manhattan apartment this afternoon at 1:45...

Madonna (wearing those same damn shorts & shoes) left Gwyneth and Guy for the studio a half hour later at 2:15...

Guy left his apartment for the second time (he went out earlier this morning) at 3...

Gwyneth left at 4...

...and Guy returned at 4:05!

So strange! Was she there then to just act as Auntie Gwyneth to the kids, for whom this all could be very distressing? Or was it an intervention gone wrong?

Cate Blanchett gave birth a mere SIX weeks ago, yet she is glowing (and rocking a seriously svelte post-baby bod) in this ruffled grey creation. Her shoes match her dress perfectly and her hair and makeup are flawless, so it's easy to see why she's one of our picks for best dressed at Cannes.

Gwyneth's hair deserves it's own special award for being so perfect, but her dress gets an A-plus as well. She kept it simple, sleek and sophisticated, but just to make sure the outfit wasn't too boring Gwyn threw in some neutral toned gladiator heels to spice it up. If you're going to attempt the gladiator high heel look, take notes from Gwyn - she clearly knows what she's doing.

Natalie Portman looked ravishing in this strapless red ruffled dress, but come on, does she ever look bad? Everyone at X17 agreed that this was one of the best dresses on the Cannes red carpet this year, and we can't wait to go buy one just like it!

Someone else who went for the short and strapless look (and pulled it off quite well) was Miss Lindsay Lohan. She chose a metallic gold minidress with a bottom ruffle detail, sky high gold heels and a matching clutch (check it out here).

Now, listen up ladies - your skin should never match the color of your dress, especially if the shade we're talking about is orange! Victoria Silvstedt shows us how not to do it while showing off her twin oompa loompas in the process.

Flashing your goodies uglies on the red carpet is a major no no, but would we really expect anything less from French "actress" Yasmine Lafitte? We might be more forgiving if this was an accidental flash, but the smile on Yasmine's face (not to mention the lack of undies!) just makes us, well, a little sick. And they say Americans are tacky!

Oscar-winner Gwyneth Paltrow is one of those actresses you just love to hate... or is that hate to love?

Here's the mother-of-two at the Cannes Film Festival - she's in town to promote Two Lovers, a drama co-starring Joaquin Phoenix - in both her day-wear (above) and evening-wear:

Our photographers spotted Gwyneth Paltrow shooting an ad at the Piazza Campo De Fiori while in Rome. Looks like Gwyneth enjoyed the ridiculous spectacle almost as much as we did!

We spotted Gwen leaving the hotel Costes in Paris after a business meeting. She went back to the hotel Bristol after being plenty unfriendly to all her fans. Way to please your public, Gwyneth!

In the May issue of Vogue, Gwyneth Paltrow discusses her struggle with postpartum depression after giving birth to her second child, Moses, in 2006.

"I felt really out of my body," Paltrow told Vogue. "I felt really disconnected. I felt really down...I felt pessimistic.” She goes on to state, “I didn’t know I had it until after it was over...I just didn’t know what was wrong with me."

In addition to Moses, 2, Paltrow, 35, has a 4 year old daughter, Apple with hubby and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

It took six years of dating and two days of intense speculation, but Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles were finally wed yesterday!

Despite all the attention showered on the event by the paparazzi, the couple still managed to keep the ceremony relatively low-key, wrapping it up in under three hours and featuring a tiny guest list of friends and family members. Heck, the closest thing to an A-lister at their reception was Gwyneth Paltrow!

Unfortunately, the couple's honeymoon may have to be cut short - Jay's got a concert date tonight in Greensboro, North Carolina. Then again, he could always give the crowd a special treat and bring Beyonce along!

Katie Holmes stunned in a bright red Alexander McQueen dress with gold accessories at Madonna's Gucci/Unicef/Malawi event at the United Nations in New York last night.

Gwyneth, in Gucci, looked like she was wearing one of the rejects from Project Runway's prom challenge. Someone shoulda pulled a different pair of shoes off the Bluefly Accessories Wall!

J. Lo was all big hair, big belly and big shoes, dwarfing her husband in her brown belted Gucci gown and platform sandals.

Gwen, with her hot hubby in a in a black cut-out gown, is just starting to show!

Life and Style has the first pic of Gwyneth after her recent hospitalization for starving herself a "personal matter," according to her rep.

Quick question -- what's a mother of two doing fasting?

Gwyneth Paltrow's commitment to an organic lifestyle is certainly admirable - but might it be dangerous, too?

New York Magazine is reporting that the slender starlet's recent hospitalization may have been triggered by overexertion combined with a fast!

The magazine called Organic Avenue (who delivered a bag to the ailing actress during her quick stay) for a comment - only to be told that the actress was engaged in a "five-day live-food fast".

The Organic Avenue employee was quick to point out that they'd hooked Gwyneth up with plenty of food, telling, the magazine that "She's eating salads, there's juices. There's actually quite a bit of food there, it's just all raw and organic."

Of course, the last picture of Paltrow taken before her hospitalization shows her jogging and listening to her iPod.

Could the Oscar-winner have simply worn herself out?

Us Magazine is reporting that Gwyneth Paltrow was admitted to a hospital in New York yesterday.

The magazine quotes an eyewitness who describes the actress as being "slumped over in a wheelchair pushed by Chris Martin" upon being admitted to Mt. Sinai hospital yesterday afternoon. "She looked not well."

Around 6:30, she received a bag (labeled "Gwyneth Martin") from Organics Avenue, an organic home-supply store.

No details as to what could have prompted Gwyneth's visit have surfaced yet - Stephen Huvane told Us that it was "a personal matter".

Still, it couldn't have been too serious - Huvane just told OK! that Gwyneth's "fine and at home"!

Has the normally sourpuss Gwyneth finally lightened up around our cameras?

Nah, she's just acting. Gwyneth is currently filming Two Lovers, a romantic drama with Joaquin Phoenix in New York.

It's been a minute since we've seen Gwynneth Paltrow's son Moses - and boy has he grown up in the meantime! We caught the tyke out in Barcelona with his mother (who took a break from working on a program for Spanish TV to play with her brood) and sister yesterday, and we found ourselves simply overcome by how cute he looked walking around, climbing on various statues, and being generally and overpoweringly adorable. (We'd love to be able to say the same about Moses' mom - if only she hadn't kept hiding her face behind a blanket!)

First Heath and Michelle, now Gwyneth and Chris Martin? OK! Magazine is reporting that the couple - who wed in December '03 and now have two children - may be headed for a break-up. Aside from the fact that the two are never seen in public together and spend months apart in different locations, witnesses say that Gwyneth rarely mentions her husband, and when she does she sounds "vague and unenthusiastic." Instead, the actress tends to "change the topic to her kids, Apple and Moses." Trouble in the air or just keeping her public and private life separate?
