You're the idiot. The plea deal probably has the charges diverted - which (let me break it down for you) means that it actually won't be on her record.

This is a win win result. The prosecuitor gets a conviction for his merit badge quest and she gets a reasonable deal.

In the future if this case were reviewed a reasonable conclusion would be that the original charges were a very weak case and hard to assure a win but they got their conviction so it was OK to deal.

It is not hard to imagine a hightmare when you consider that this same idiot quest is used to settle felony cases up to and including moderately sickening.

The real shocking story here is that a white blonde woman was pulled over in LA, and it wasn't Paris or Britney this time!
