I'm not anti-Reese and Jake, im fans of them both seperately and i think they would make a cute couple together, however i dont believe for a second they are dating. and if you took a look online at other blogs, you'd find the general opinion is, nobody really believes they are together.

theres absolutely no proof. and the sole reason it became a big media story, all talk and no substance, is down to asshole bloggers like X17 who write their bullshit stories, as if true, when its obvious to anyone with half a brain, if x17 saw them together, they would have pics. yet x17 continues to write inappropriate titles like 'jake spends the night' etc, and 'leading seperate lives in public, but together in private' crap. with not a single shred of proof. continues to hound both jake and reese, yet cant get a single pic of them together

people.com had a 'sighting' at a resturant, but not a single picture..these sightings from all the agencys are all public sightings, yet no-ones getting pictures. these are two A-list stars who are both hounded by paparazzi practically every time they step outside, they would be seen eventually if they were a couple, sounds all media hype to me, with no truth in it at all.

Celebs who get photographed together normally want that. There are lots of celebs that are out and about and keep it private. If you leave thru the back entrance, if the establishment repects you and if your smart you life doesn't need to be public all the time. How many sightings do you need, how many supposed friends do you want to leak info to people magazine before you believe it.
Even if there was a photo you would say it's staged. They are being spotted driving from each others home at night.

Yes you can get photos of celebs when they are leaving a club at night, but once they start driving you can forget it.

Other celebs travel with body guards & drivers, it's easy for the razzi to get information and pictures, they don't just have to spot the celeb they can watch for the driver or the body guards.

It is a showmance folks. This is to hide the fact that Jake doesn't really have any interest any more in women sexual and I am not sure what Reese is going to get out of it maybe she won't look like the frigid ex-wife. X17 and TMZ hound celebs, that's what they do. They don't generate stories for PR reps, that's what the tabloids do and the entertainment shows. The make money off selling photos and videos to entertainment magazines & shows. The have the rights and everytime somebody uses the photo or video they get money.

If this is for PR Jake & Reese would just have to be photographed once kissing and that would be good for years to come.

Driving around and not being seen, or using back doors is not what celebs do when they are creating PR stories.

Jake was photographed more than once with Natalie Portman, but he didn't have 1/2 the sightings or leaks about the supposed relationship as this one.

If it was a 'showmance' surely they would pose for the paps.

The question is does Jake want this relationship with Reese to be deniable in the future (if Jake wants to come out.) The showmance may still happen after Reese's divorce is final. Only time will tell on this one (and probably only a week or two to wait on that as well.)

I believe the fact that People reported it is clear enough evidence that Jake and Reese agreed to at least that part of the whole performance.

But it is real PR as People does not print stories like this without the OK from the PR folks of the given celebs. This is coming from a person who does think the Jake and Reese are a Hollywood fabrication.

Remember tabloids and people like X17 are less interested in the truth of what is going on than in headlines that attract readers and pictures that sell for big bucks. They will go where ever the narrative takes them as long as it makes them a buck and does not get them in trouble with the law.

There are many many places in LA that celebs eat at that are never reported to the press. Do you think that celebs don't eat out, they do. Places that have trusted staff and are trusted by the celebs make a lot of money, they don't want the press hanging outside because it scares away rich paying celebs.

Stars have an extreme amount of privacy when they are discrete and not media hogs.

Reese Witherspoon isnt a celeb that is left alone by the paparazzi and allowed to dine in peace and quiet, lets be real! some stars are given privacy (and those are the ones that arnt that popular or well known or that no-one cares about.) reese isnt one of those people, shes very famous, shes followed by the paparazzi all the time, and ive seen quite a few recent sets of reese pictured out at resturants, with friends. Reese may be a relatively private star, but shes hounded by the paparazzi, so that excuse for them not been photographed together doesnt ring true at all.

It's true!They're laying low until the divorce is final. It started before they started their film. RW and RP were having serious problems for a long time.By the time Flags of Our Fathers came out, their marriage was already over except for the announcement. I think she wanted to pull out of Rendition but Jake talked her into sticking with the film. He was very supportive and a very good friend. She was emotionally vulnerable and needed to feel like she was still attractive. Especially since her husband was cheating constantly. Bad for self-esteem!
