Having relocated to Kentwood for the duration of her pregnancy, Jamie Lynn Spears has been staying away from the press lately - until now!

OK! Magazine spoke to the pregnant teen queen about last weekend's baby shower recently, and Jamie Lynn was only too happy to talk about her gifts, her condition - and, of course, her big sister!

"It was wonderful to be able to spend time with [Britney] and just be girls again," Jamie Lynn said when asked about spending last weekend with her big sister. "We painted our nails and did stupid stuff, and we had our private time too. To be able to be in the privacy of our own home and just be sisters again was wonderful." Of course, the Spears sisters also found some time for a heart-to-heart about motherhood, with Britney stressing to Jamie Lynn that "there are going to be some long nights - but it is completely worth it."

Of course, "privacy" is a relative term - especially when you're in a house with twenty other guests! "There were about 20 or 30 people [at the shower] - to me, it was pretty big," Spears said. "My mom put it all together for me. There were mainly people her age so that way they could get me all the important stuff I need. The people my age, like Sarah and Leah, got me the cute stuff."

And what kind of cute stuff might she have received? "I got adorable clothes," she replied. "I registered for all the necessities. There is a certain type of bottle I use, Dr. Brown's Bottles. You need your travel set and your sling. I got a wonderful sling yesterday. It is adorable, and it will put a baby right to sleep."

Wow, it really sounds like Jamie Lynn's maturing into her new role as a mother! Of course, as she herself admits, she's still got a long way to go - heck, she hasn't even picked out a name yet!

"We want it to be something special," Spears told the mag. "That's something we haven't figured out yet, but I'm thinking hard. I'm working on it. No one has given me any suggestions. I wish they would!"

After her weekend baby shower, Jamie Lynn should be more than ready for baby - but just to get herself even more prepared, looks like she's been spending extra time with her little cousin Lilly!

Looks like JL is feeling maternal and perhaps getting in a little practice for her impending mommyhood!

It's been a while since Britney Spears has seen her little pregnant sister Jamie Lynn - but they're set to have a big reunion this Saturday!

Life & Style claims that Britney will make the long trek home to Kentwood for her little sis' baby shower, scheduled to take place tomorrow afternoon at Lynne's house. It's been a while since Britney's been home - in fact, the last time she set foot in Kentwood was waaaaaaaay back in November of 2006!

And even this visit almost didn't happen - according to a source who spoke to the mag, Jamie was initially opposed to letting Britney attend the party! "He thought it might create chaos in Kentwood," the source says, "and he wasn’t sure he wanted to put Jamie Lynn - or Britney - in the middle of that.

Ultimately, however, all it took was a little of the old "Puh-leeeeeeze, dad" routine. “Britney can’t travel without Jamie’s permission, so she worked really hard to talk him into it; it was so important for her to be there for her little sister," according to the source. "He finally gave in, knowing it’d be good for Brit and Jamie Lynn to finally see each other.”

Well, thank goodness he gave in - we're sure Jamie Lynn would have enjoyed her birthday shower with or without Britney, but who wouldn't want their big sis on hand for such a happy day?

With just a few months left in her pregnancy, details about Jamie Lynn Spears' first child are starting to slip out - like the fact that it's gonna be a girl!

Life & Style spoke to someone who claims to have overheard Lynne Spears discussing her baby's baby. According to the witness, Lynn was talking about how "Jamie Lynn and [Casey] were so excited when they found out it's a girl!"

The witness went on to reveal that although Casey's still "a bit nervous about having a daughter", Jamie Lynn was thrilled by the news and has already gotten to work picking out names. The teen queen might be passing on more than just her family name, too - she's apparently made a list of the names of all the girls on both sides of the Spears family and wants to incorporate one of them as her daughter's middle name!

(And naturally, Jamie Lynn made sure to include her mother's name for consideration - according to the witness, Lynne is "flattered" by her daughter's thoughtfulness!)

L&S also revealed that Jamie Lynn's been spending up a storm to get ready for her daughter's arrival, speaking to a Spears family insider who claims she's been buying "tons of clothes" and has plans to do her nursery in black, white, and yellow. She better hurry up, though - that same insider says the baby's due on June 29th!

The Spears matriarch blabbed to Life & Style that she's "a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age."

Oh, really?!

But she says: "Jamie Lynn will be a wonderful mother. She really has a way with children — she’s a natural nurturer. I just wish she had waited a bit.”

Ya don't say!

And about her other daughter Brit: “I pray for Britney every day to be a better mother. She’s gone through a lot of trauma, but she seems to be coming out of it — and it’s showing in her relationship with the boys. They’re really bonding.”

Well that's good, at least.

Lynnstradamus remains hopeful despite her family's screw ups: “I think 2008 will be a better year for all of us.” !!!

After a trip to Walmart on her 17th birthday, Casey took his baby mama out for a birthday dinner at Ruby Tuesday.

Maybe for her 18th, he'll upgrade to CPK!

Parents-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge went shopping for a pet bed at Wal Mart yesterday, the day before Jamie Lynn's 17th birthday!

The two went for dinner at Ruby Tuesday's just afterward.

The Kentwood couple are living the down-to-earth life in Louisiana and, we hope!, focusing on their impending parenthood. It won't be easy for the two teens!

Jamie Lynn Spears seems to be happy with her pregnancy and her engagement to babydaddy Casey Aldridge... but are her parents? Life & Style Weekly reports that behind the scenes, Jamie and Lynne are a tad more concerned.

Father Jamie in particular is "having a hard time pretending he can be happy about it all," says a family insider. "He watched Britney go through a messy divorce after rushing into marriage and having kids too young. It’s caused the family nothing but grief." Drama, drama, drama!

And what about Lynne? In Touch Weekly says Jamie Lynn's mom wants Casey to sign a prenup. "He doesn't seem as committed to the relationship as Jamie Lynn," says a confidant. And because the fam is aware of the rumors Casey's cheated on Jamie Lynn, "Lynne is keeping an eye on him."

We were so tickled by the news that Jamie Lynn Spears had found a friend last week that we didn't even wait to find out her pal's name - but that's not a problem any more!

Turns out Jamie Lynn's Juno figure is actually her cousin Jessica. Unlike her famous relatives, Jessica usually keeps a low profile - but when Jamie Lynn needs a friend, she's happy to tag along!
