The bigger the younger child gets, the more it appears that there's something "wrong"...FAS? Downs? Autistism? There's something amiss with the poor kid and I pity him having an uncaring, uninformed parent like Shitney.

I dont think he has down syndrome, he just has droopy eyes like Britney and Kevin have. And he is always crying so it makes him look that way. But they are so cute, I really dont think he has anything wrong with him!!

Funny the other site BH reported that Britney walked out of the toy store after 10 minutes and left the kids in there with her parents and the bodyguard. Which story is it? Aw, guess it doesn't really matter - either way she couldn't be bothered to spend time toy shopping with her kids. Yep, clearly a nominee for Mother of the Year!

Like they would volunteer that info willingly. They didn't even want her to talk about all the crap she went through, so do you honestly believe they would be jumping to say something she would be shredded (and rightfully) for? Give me a break. They know that keeping silent is a huge marketing move for them!

I hope Jayden's healthy. There's never a legitimate excuse for alcohol related health problems.

Wasn’t Britney nursing Sean when she became pregnant with Jayden? Why would she be drinking? Nursing/pregnant moms should never drink. A mom passes alcohol in breast milk to their nursing baby. It can cause serious health problems. A mom passes alcohol through umbilical cord blood to their unborn, developing baby. It can cause fetal alcohol syndrome and birth defects.

K-Feds bodyguard must be with them because the kids see him as dad rather than Kev. JJ looks like he's gonna be put on a 5150 hold before he's 12.

I actually think the nicest thing she did do is not go in with them. If she want, then it would have been a paparazzi fest.

I don’t think FAO would let the photogs in the store. L.A. stores don‘t let them in. Some even have dark curtains so celebs can shop in peace.

I've always thought poor JJ looked like he had FAS. While there can be some similarities in appearance in FAS and Down Syndrome (in some instances), there aren't always outward signs. FAS usually has certain outward "clues". Someone posted a link above that has a picture. If you look at it, the resemblance to JJ is uncanny. I've noticed it from early on, having worked with children born with FAS. It's really a shame -- and SHAME ON TWIT if this is the case.

Jayden's an innocent baby. I feel so bad.

The main telling points between FAS and Down's are the appearance of the eyes and eye lids and the body types. Down's eyes have Mongoloid features (almost Asian looking) to them and the body tends to be stockier and more mesomorphic (strong build). FAS has wide set, droopy eyes, a roundish head shape, and a smooth septum on the upper lip with thinnish lips. They two can be co-morbid, but are usually still distinct in their features. FAS also has a sort of malnourished look to the overall body and there is not as much stockiness as there is an ectomorphic body (thiner build). Mentally, Down's tends to carry more serious acute impairment, while FAS can range from severe to almost little to no major impairment (many mildly FAS people can function very highly and effectively!). Given these well known facts, I would say there is no outright indication of Down's, but a very overt indication of FAS. Both are easy to spot when you know what you're looking for. Yes, it's an opinion, but a well studied one.

And as to the 7:43 post, that is a very abbreviated and simplified description of the two syndromes. There are also congenital internal defects that can go with each, but those tend to require a close physical examination to determine and requires more time and space than a blog like this is built for. And hating the messenger will not change anything. I am just trying to clear up a few things and provide some simplified information. Take it as you will.

If you ever have the desire (and time) to share basic information about symptoms and treatment, please do. It could benefit young women contemplating motherhood and young mothers.

Actually, going into laborious detail would be somewhat boring in nature to many, including myself. And please take this with all due positivity, but it's very easy to just Google the information and take what you need at your leisure. It won't make you an expert, but it will help you become quite informed. Personally, I enjoy studying facial and body types, which is a vastly underestimated and underused tool. Very simply, when you can look at a person and you know something is a bit off, you are probably on to something. If you're interested, Google Oriental Medicine + facial features sometime. As the Chinese say, "A person's entire life is often road mapped on their face (or something like that). Things like how nose shape can indicate many things like cardiac illnesses, for instance. I'm no expert on OM, but it does fascinate me and it can be helpful and interesting. Good luck and thanks again!

10:34, it's been nice talking to you! Be sure to check out OM sometime. I find that what little I know is very helpful in determining other things. I have a good friend who is both a certified Western and Oriental MD and he is perhaps one of the best diagnosticians I have ever seen. He put stitches in my finger once using only acupuncture and I was blown away that it didn't hurt (and I was very doubtful)! While he did it, he gave me a great explanation of how AP works and it actually made sense to me, despite my strong reservations! All are just tools and some are more useful than others. Gotta go, nut maybe we'll run into each other again and figure it out! Good night!

Down syndrome--medically speaking is due to the decomposition of genetic material-you know eggs/sperms.

It is well known that parents of a progressed age are prone to Down syndrome. Not young healthy parents.

There are telltale signs of Downs syndrome however these are not pictures that would lend themselves to even speculating that either of Britney's children show those traits.

I really feel that ill-informed and malintented people such as the ones perpetrating or speculating that her children have this condition are the MAJOR reason for much of the stress and distress this family goes through.

Like J.T. says what goes round comes round, I sure hope he's right about that many posters here deserve a reality smack.
