for her mother's day, she could have put some effort in her appearance. I'm not saying she should dress prettier every day but some times a mother should dress like a woman and not like a farm's wife. I hate those big trainers and that school bag, specially on woman.

Hmmmm...why is it okay for Ben Affleck to dress like crap, but she has to dress up? And NO...the jacket doesn't make him look any better. Given that she has to dress to the 9's for many parties, I highly doubt she wants to do it for Mother's Day. How do you know she didn't head to the park immediately following breakfast? She pretty much spends most her week there enjoying Violet!
And as far as the person commenting on why Ben wasn't holding Violet...You're OBVIOUSLY not a mom. Kids that age often prefer their mom. My daughter always has me hold her and it can be a fight to get her to go to her dad. It passes, but at this age most moms relish it!
Why does everyone says she dresses terribly? I dress like that and I'm a mom.. When you actually TAKE CARE of you child (without a nanny following you around) you don't always have all the time in the world to get pretty. I think she's naturally beautiful.

It takes an equivalent amount of time to put on a decent pair of jeans and no they don't have to be Versace.
good for jen, she is comfortable enough with herself to go out without tons of makeup and dressed to impress. when you have self confidence in yourself and your relationship you do not need to put on a facade every damn day to try and impress others.

Jen is pretty and Ben looks good. But I agree with most. On special occasions like Mother's day, she could have at least exerted a little effort to even comb her hair and look a little like a mom and not one of the guys. At least Ben put on a vest and coat though he preferred not to shave. I am getting tired of seeing this pretty mom looking like a slob. She doesn't need make-up just good clothes and girl snickers. Not too much to ask.

oh my gosh people seriously! jen garner is a great mom - ALWAYS with her child and she dresses comfortable and casual because she is always playing with her little girl in the park etc - it is refreshiong to see her pretty and natural and for once not to see a bright orange sprayed on tan and a shirt passing for a dress like some "moms" wear -lay off - they are the most "normal" hollywood couple I know
I agree with you. It is not funny to wear a dress when carrying and playing with a kid, and jeans will stay 'spotless'. Jen is number 2 out of 3 girls. It is very common that the first girl is brought up to be a very girly girl. And if the second child is a girl too, sometimes she (unconsiously) is brought up to be a lot more boyish. I've notised this happening a lot of times. But she is still a beautiful girl, just a much more tough girl!

I know Faith (see stupid post above) and can confirm that she is an idiot (and looks a LOT worse when she's in public than Jennifer Garner, starting with an extra 100 lbs!). Garner has the self-confidence not to care what twits like Faith have to say, and wears what feels comfortable. It's sad that people get used to seeing "stars" get dressed up just to be seen in public and expect all celebrities to act that way. I give Garner credit for not buying into this BS and doing her own thing. Their marriage might be great or it might be lousy - how can any of us know by looking at a couple of pictures???

Men in their 30'ties often get depressed. They have everything, job, wife, child, house, cars etc. And the wife is making all the decisions. Family hollidays, interior decorating, choice of car etc. Endless dinners with inlaws, family partys, kindergarden arrangements etc. And all the man really wanted was a warm woman in his bed!!!!!
Faith really is an idiot (and an envious, narrow-minded bitch) for making the stupid-assed and ignorant comments she made about Garner and her daughter.
Who knows what kind of woman Ben likes. All his girlfriends have looked nearly the same, except Paltrow (blond) though slim as the rest of them, and except Lopez (big behind), but dark haired as the rest. They were all beautiful in their own way, and J. Garner is slim, pretty, darkhaired, healthy, and he has her devoted friendship. She has the same values in life as him, so he can relax and be himself. He choose a woman with good motherhood potential, as he really wanted a family.
What does Ben like to do? Riding his bike, looking at cars, fishing, playing ball, watching a game. Soon he can take Violet with him to do and see all the things that interests him. They will have so much fun! And soon he can talk with her. Then it will be something else than a walk in the park or a trip to the market.
Hiding behind that beard, one should think Ben was a reincarnation of Jim Morrison. Hope he is not as unhappy as Jim was. Ben has a much more lovable personality. But otherwise everything else fits. Think about it! Uhhhh

I think she's comfortable that she does not need to look good anymore. It's a wrong move for married women. A lot of married women still manages to look great, some of them works all day (regular people) and have kids. Jenfleck has 1 kid and a nanny. I am sure it takes 2 minutes to put some gloss and mascara and deodorant.
Faith, I totally agree with you. To me she looks smelly and greasy. She needs to shower more and fix that hair. She doesn't care about how she looks anymore, Ben will eventually cheats. He likes to look at other women.
