Dadager slash producer Joe Simpson has sold a comedy to Nickelodeon loosely based on his experience as a psychologist raising two girls in Texas.

THR reports that the as-yet untitled project will be based around one of the daughters who follows in her father's footsteps and begins dispensing advice to the kids at school. Hmmm, which daughter would THAT be based on?

Simpson is teaming up with veteran producer Tommy Lynch and writer Emily Cutler (ABC's Carpoolers) for the series.

Jessica Simpson and her BFFs Cacee Cobb and Ken Paves have organized a drive to send 50,000 shoes to the earthquake victims in Haiti. Jess and company are teaming up with the Nashville, Tennessee foundation Soles4Souls to collect the shoes over the next 50 days, and you can make donation at 50000shoes.com.

As little as $5 provides two pairs of shoes, and as of this morning the site had already hit the 18,000 mark, so it looks like this drive is turning out to be a huge success!

Jessica Simpson hasn't replaced her darling Daisy just yet, but it looks like she's got a temporary new snuggle buddy to keep her warm!

Last night Jess posted the following pic and tweeted, "Sammy and I are falling asleep. Sweet snuggle companion. Thx Jeannia and Evan for letting me have her for the [night]." But after everyone jumped the gun and assumed that Sammy was Jess' new furball, she added, "Just to clear things up...Sammy isn't my new pup. I borrowed her for the night from my friends :)"

Jessica Simpson was spotted at BOA Steakhouse with a couple of pals last night, including stylist slash BFF Ken Paves, and while Jess looks lovely, all we really see is that tacky necklace.

Now J. Simp is launching a denim line, partnering with Jones Apparel Group and Camuto Group to create Jessica Simpson Jeanswear, which will be part of the Jessica Simpson Collection.

Jess has this to say: "Because I live in denim, the fit was the most important. A girl's booty needs to look good!"

Agreed! That being said, the last time we saw Jess in jeans - pic to the right! - was on December 2nd in NYC and, well, we couldn't even see her booty!

Hopefully the clothing line will show off her curves in the best way possible!

Jessica Simpson confessed that her stint as a runway model in Paris for her show The Price of Beauty made her so nervous that she "almost puked"!

"Going to Paris, I had to walk a runway with all these tall skinny models and I almost puked I was so nervous," she said today at the Television Critics Association in Pasadena.

"I mean, I can walk a red carpet but walking a runway, I will be the first to fall on my face," Jess continued. "And thank god I didn't. But I was so nervous to walk out there and be judged. To just put myself out there like that. Especially next to people that eat just salad!"

It's no secret that Jessica has struggled with her weight in the past. But she said shooting the show has helped her accept herself as she is.

"I haven't always had an inner confidence and I haven't always looked at my reflection and loved it. There's always something I've wanted to fix because there's always somebody that looks better," said the singer who's plumped her lips in the past. "And that's what we always try to compare ourselves to. I think the journey really was finding what is beautiful inside of me and knowing that I own it and it's unique. It was a very powerful journey," she said.

The show took Jessica around the world, from India, to Japan, Thailand, France, Brazil, Uganda, and Morocco.

The series premieres on VH1 on March 15th.

Jessica and her new man, Billy Corgan, may have been taking it slow, but looking at these pix of a happy Jessica looking up at her new guy with adoring eyes in the music studio, we'd say it might be getting more serious!

Jessica followed her rock star beau into the studio where he's recording his eighth album with his band Smashing Pumpkins.

Jessica retweeted the pix (that were originally posted by Corgan's producer) on her Twitter, saying "I am blessed," and commenting on another that it's "fun to be lost in laughter."

Jessica Simpson's boobs looked even more bodacious than usual last night at The Wilshire in Brentwood where she had dinner with Papa Joe and a group of girlfriends.

Last night Jessica Simpson landed at LAX and she was immediately swarmed by photographers, but rather than pulling a duck and cover in her SUV, she flashed us some silly faces as she left the airport. Aww, Jess! You're so adorable. And even though you look a wee but jet lagged, you're still a stunner minus the makeup.

There are very few celebs who actually look better without make up (we're talking to you, Molly Sims!) but Jessica Simpson is definitely one of those stars who does!

Oh, poor Jessica Simpson. She's had a horrible year, and now there's a tabloid report linking her to serial manwh*re Tiger Woods!

Star Magazine reports that Jessica met with Tiger at the AT&T National Pro-Am golf tournament in Bethesda, Maryland, just days before her split from Tony Romo.

“Jessica said that she felt like Tony wasn’t paying attention to her, so she was like, ‘What the heck!’ ” says a source for Star. “She decided to have fun with Tiger whether it bothered Tony or not.” The source added, "Tiger liked what he saw and let her know it."

Star mag reports that phone numbers and e-mail addresses were exchanged, but there doesn't seem to be any solid evidence that Tiger actually went all the way with the busty blonde...

Yet again, we snapped Jessica Simpson out and about in NYC, and the blonde beauty looked like she was on cloud nine as she strolled down the sidewalk. What's got her in such a cheery mood? Any chance there's a new man in her life? She's definitely got that glow!

Last night we caught Jessica Simpson out and about in NYC, and it looks like she's genuinely enjoying her time on the East Coast. Taking a break from LA to watch her sister on Broadway must be nice, but hopefully she doesn't get too comfy in the Big Apple...we're starting to miss her here in California!

Anyway, I don't know about you guys, but this girl totally deserves some sort of award for handling herself so well this year. Not only does she look fantastic, but it seems like she's ready to leave 2009 behind and move on to bigger and better things in 2010...gotta love that!
