A report from Chicago blog These Boots Are Made For Stalking claims that singer Jessica Simpson and her footballer boyfriend Tony Romo have split.

"They're broken up," says one of Tony's pals. "He told us they broke up and that was that. We're guys so we didn't talk about it much."

Apparently the Dallas Cowboy was partying in the Windy City - at Chicago's Uncle Fatty's Rum Resort - all weekend, reports the blog.

Hmm, but we caught Jessica on Saturday night leaving Mexicali with a smile on her face...

Wonder if she was drowning her troubles away?

UPDATE - A rep for Jessica Simpson tells X17 that the couple is "absolutely still together."

Guess that clears everything up!

Jessica Simpson, dressed in a long, white dress (hey, isn't Ashlee the one getting married?) started her mother's day celebration early, with dinner at Studio City eatery Mexicali Saturday night.

Jessica's apparently such a regular at the Mexican restaurant that we hear they've even named a margarita after her!

But of course Jessica also made time for her mom on her special day - it's Tina who picked Jess up from the restaurant after dinner!

Jessica Simpson may be keeping mum on her own wedding rumors, but one thing she's not shy about is bragging that she'll be standing up next to her sister on Ashlee's big day!

People mag reports that when asked if she'll be her engaged younger sister's maid of honor, the singer/actress replied "of course!"

Star Magazine is claiming that Jessica Simpson's hospitalization on March 28th was not just due to a "kidney infection", as was widely reported, but was really due to "months of hard drinking with beau Tony Romo!"

The mag reports that during her stay at LA's Cedars-Sinai, Jess was treated for a kidney infection, a bladder infection, a urinary tract infection AND she also asked for a pregnancy test!

According to a "source", Jessica was "three weeks late and convinced she was pregnant. She was feeling really weak and really scared. She was unraveling."

What do you think, was Jessica's weekend stay at the LA hospital for her kidneys or something more???

Ashlee was all smiles when she headed to LAX with her sister Jessica just a few short hours ago.

Although Pete has issued a denial, Ashlee's rep has yet to confirm OR deny the rumors.

Unfortunately, our source claims Tony wasn't quite as sweet to the other guests as he was to Jess, suggesting that the QB might have partied a little too heartily. Good thing he had Jess on hand to defuse the situation - our source said Jess was going out of her way to be sweet to everyone!

According to Page Six, the blonde bombshell is currently scheduled to depart today to return to Kuwait to perform for servicemen stationed overseas. (She's not going alone, though - she'll be supported by the Pussycat Dolls, the band Disturbed, and comic Carlos Mencia.)

But apparently, Jessica's not making this trip easy on herself - a source told the mag that the Texas rose will be bedding down in a sleeping bag and a bunk!

The pair were heading off to Texas for a little rest and relaxation together. (And, of course, if it gives Jessica another chance to show off that leopard-print bag of hers, so much the better!)

She and Tony Romo hit up Villa Saturday night -- and it was a double date with her former assistant Cacee Cobb and Donald Faizon (those two have been together for a while!).

The group left Villa for the Roosevelt Hotel before ending the night with some burgers at Carl's Jr.
