I would say this is more true of Celebs like Lindsay, Britney and Paris. I have seen footage of LL and Brit, where they haven't even tried to hide their joy at having the photogs around and have sometimes shown blatantly that they have sought it.
Paris, I would say has much less talent than Jessica and she doesn't get slated a lot (or as much-with such venom).

Jessica was a “no one” for the first two or three years of her career. She did not achieve much in fame or anything else. She was the poor man’s Britney Spears at best. In fact the Simpson family were way in debt until Newlyweds. That is why Jessica sold out and went slut on us all. Then there is all the crap about her dad’s perversions around her. But she acts like she likes her father’s sicko advances (which she probably does). She would rather have her father then her own husband. She then gives a lame excuse for divorcing Nick by saying she cares about the world and wants to do something about it. She said she was upset at Nick because he did not want to do some charity thing with her (so she divorces him for that). Well, that was a few years ago now, and she has done nothing to prove she cares about he world, or done some sort of major crusade like Angelina Jolie has done. It was all bullshit from Jess, and was an excuse to give the public an excuse for divorcing Nick.

She has been with a string of guys now, but Nick has just been with one woman. That right there shows that "she" is the slut and liar, and Nick is not. Nick can hang with one woman and be true. Jessica can't, and to boot, she goes with real loser dogs that bang her then promptly show her the door when they finish with her.

Now her last CD sold very badly, and her latest movie is probably going to go straight to DVD. She has lost her fans. People bought the products because they envied her life with Nick which was idealized on their show.
