I have been to the venue where the wedding reception was actually held - the Columbus Athenaeum - and they don't have furniture or window treatments like what is viewed in the photos. Spice Bar does, which is actually where these photos were snapped.

i heard that only the hired photographer was permitted to take photos at the wedding and there were columbus police patrolling the whole night so i doubt someone 'crashed' the reception. besides, that is mrs. carpenter in the photo and i don't think she would be wearing a wristband at her own wedding. those pics are definitely from spice bar, it's obvious by the appearance of the couches.

I believe you can have a "private reception after party" anywhere you choose. Someone got into that and took bad pics for their own little personal jollies at the expense of people doing nothing wrong at all. They are sitting on a couch. Wow.

These pics were taken at a bar, where the after-party was. I was at the wedding/reception/after-party and was very impressed with Jessica Simpson. I don't know much about her professionally, but she acted like a normal person at this wedding, did not put on airs and was very down-to-earth, talking to "normal" guests, dancing, etc. I am sorry to disappoint you guys, but this was just a normal wedding and this couple did nothing out of the ordinary, just had a good time with the rest of us.
