Ya'd think newly single Kate Hudson would want to show off her hot body at the pre-Golden Globes party at The Buffalo Club last night, but she was dressed decidedly dowdy in a tan shirt & pants combo.

Totally snoresville, right? Well, at least until we got a glimpse of a red bra peeking out from underneath her top!

So either Kate's giving us a little tease, or she's saving it for a mystery man she's got waiting at home. Hmmmm.

There's a report on In Touch claiming Yankee man Alex Rodriguez has not only taken up with 25-year-old Elaine Spottswood, a design consultant, so soon after splitting with actress Kate Hudson... he was already seeing her while he was dating Kate!

Says an insider: "Elaine and Alex have been romantic for a few months, since before he and Kate ended their relationship. Kate is devastated and feels stupid. She thought that she and Alex were moving toward marriage. She never would have imagined he would cheat on her."

Apparently, he was also sexting Elaine while he was with Kate!

What does Elaine have to say? "It’s only recently that we’ve reconnected, about a month or so ago." Hmm...

Kate Hudson reportedly ended her 8 month relationship with Alex Rodriguez upon realizing that he was still obsessed with Madonna. A source tells OK! that Kate told A-Rod they couldn't have a future together if he continued to talk to his ex, and when he refused, Kate decided to dump him. “Kate was mad with jealousy,” says the insider. “She gave A-Rod three chances to stop contacting Madonna. When she found out that he was still calling and texting her, she hit the roof. How would you feel if your new boyfriend kept calling his ex?”

Though A-Rod insisted that the two were just friends, Kate wasn't buying it. “It broke her heart to break up with him, but she didn’t have any choice," the source added. "There was no way she was going to allow herself to become ‘the other woman.’ She said that if Madonna is what A-Rod wants then she can have him.”

But the sudden split comes as no surprise to friends of the couple - the source continued:

“Kate and A-Rod were having lots of arguments in the two weeks before they broke up. They were fighting about everything and just couldn’t get along. Kate was also worried that her parents didn’t like him. Her mom [Goldie Hawn] had told her that she worried about his lifestyle - always being on the road and with so many temptations - made him an unsuitable father figure for Kate’s son. Kate decided to end it before things with A-Rod got too messy.”

So who's next? Maybe she'll go back to Owen again?

Nursing her break-up with A-Rod, Kate surrounded herself with friends and family in Aspen over the weekend, getting in a little retail therapy with son Ryder, brother Oliver and gal pal Elle Macpherson.

One photog asked Kate if what she really wanted to find underneath her tree this X-mas was "A-Rod all wrapped up in a bow" but she remained tight-lipped!

Girlfriend just can't stop wearing fur! The other day, Kate Hudson had on a winter white fur-lined number and matching fur-lined Uggs. And while she's finally gotten rid of the coat in favor of a down puffer, she couldn't let go of the pelts completely, topping off the ensemble with a fur hat.

Between Kate and her mom and Elle, I'm wondering if Aspen shouldn't ban fur altogether!

Is it a contest between Kate Hudson and her mom Goldie Hawn to see how many soft, cute dead animals they can plaster on their skin or what?!

Just because it's Aspen doesn't mean you have to wear fur! Kate's pal looks cooler than the furred-up actress and all they had to do to make her jacket was pluck a few feathers from a duck or something and stuff it into some nylon!

Yesterday we spotted Kate Hudson and son Ryder touching down in Aspen, and even though Kate's been to the winter wonderland dozens of times over the years, it looks like her little boy is still a bit new to the scene. Hey, it's a family tradition, so he better get used to it!

But is it really necessary for just the two of them to be flying on this private jet? That's a bit excessive if you ask me...

But wait a minute, she's supposed to be getting ready for Christmas! Oh Kate Hudson, I guess you're way ahead of the game.

Sure, winter in LA isn't really wintry, but still! Is this really the best outfit she could come up with?

Just days after reportedly splitting with her baseball beau, Kate Hudson showed up on the red carpet to the premiere of Nine with her mom, Goldie Hawn as her date!

Kate put on a happy face for the fete, wearing a sequined Chanel mini-dress with a train. Her mom matched in a black Christian Dior dress with a white fur (is that fake?) stole.

Nine just racked up five Golden Globe noms, including nods for Best Musical or Comedy, Best Actor (Daniel Day Lewis) and Best Actress (Marion Cottilard) - both in musical category.

No A-Rod? No problem! Just because she's suddenly single doesn't mean she has to show up solo to a red carpet event!

Last night Kate Hudson brought parents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell to the NYC premiere of Did You Hear About The Morgans, and while mom and (step)dad kept it casual, Kate opted for a slightly dressier look. Of course, both of the bubbly blondes definitely coordinated when it came to their furry outerwear:

Oh no! But I thought they were gonna get married and have babies??? (Juuust kidding.)

Sources in Florida tell Hollywood Life that, while Kate Hudson was in NYC promoting Nine, Alex Rodriguez partied in Miami at the W Hotel "with two women." Hey, at least it's not in the teens a la Tiger Woods!

An insider claims that he "was acting VERY single, and Kate Hudson was definitely not there."

The source also says that "Kate and A-Rod broke up." Hmm, maybe they just spent the weekend apart? Or is this a true sign of a breakup?

Dunzo or not dunzo, that is the question!

Kate Hudson (wearing what we expect is faux fur) bundled her boy in camo to brave the chilly NYC weather yesterday.

The California girl seems to be spending a lot of time in New York near her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, and even though she wouldn't dish on how they met to David Letterman Thursday night, we bet they'll be spending Christmas together this year!

Poor little Ryder, he looks miserable. I bet he's not used to that kind of cold. Is it fair for her to take him 3,000 miles away from home just to be closer to her boy-toy?

I guess that was Goldie Hawn's doing!

Kate Hudson, who stars in the musical Nine later this month, graces the cover of Harper's Bazaar and talks about not being pregnant and not being needy... but how sometimes she's labeled to be both by the media.

But all we care about is her relationship with A-Rod! "I have a child," says Kate. "And there are people involved, and it’s unfair to talk about somebody else, especially when you’re not in that place yet to be discussing those things."

So I guess that's a no comment. Grr. Still, Kate reveals that her family had "an open-door policy." Which apparently means: "We were never afraid to bring the wrong person home. They were always open to our failures."

Uh, should mom Goldie have been more strict or was that the way to be?

And it looks like it wasn't Jen Aniston's look Kate Hudson was stealing, because that's Alex's hat!

While they stayed separate in the airport to avoid being photographed together, Kate and her b-ball man took off from LAX and landed in London today. Now that A-Rod has had his time in the spotlight, it's time for his ladylove to take over - Nine comes out this month and we can't wait to see it!
