Paris and Nicky out clubbing this past Thursday

Now THIS is some interesting news!

So, we spotted Kathy Hilton out lunching at The Ivy with daughter Paris on Friday, but afterward the elder Hilton headed over to the Boom Boom Room to attend a Hollywood gifting suite intended for, get this, parents and expecting parents...

A source tells X17 that Kathy's enthusiastic participation in the event was a tad, well, confusing. At different times Kathy asked her host to direct her toward newborn items related to "both boy and girl stuff" and later "twins."

Kathy also said she was "shopping for her sister" at first, but later changed her alibi to "shopping for my sister-in-law." Whoops!

The presence of Mrs. Hilton caused a lot of speculation, of course, with many concluding that Kathy really had something to hide. Hmm, but which daughter was she shopping for?

Paris has talked about wanting a lotta kids, but Nicky is the one with a serious boyfriend. If we had to choose between the two, we'd go with Nicky!

Of course, as you can see from the photo above of Nicky and her b/f at Joan's on Third a couple days ago, she doesn't really look preggers does she?

There's nothing mothers love more than being photographed with their adoring children - and if those adoring children happen to be Paris and Nicky Hilton, there's always a camera close at hand!

The Hilton sisters spent Saturday stepping out for a little shopping on Robertson with their mother Kathy. After hitting up Kitson, the famous family headed over to Nanette Lepore, where the throng of photogs on their tail managed to grow even larger somehow. At one point, Kathy even got a little embarrassed at all the attention she and her brood were receiving and tried to shield Paris from the paps - nice try, Kathy, but your oldest daughter's got a reality show to shoot!

Eventually, however, even the Hiltons ran out of stuff to buy and called Paris' main squeeze Benji to come pick 'em all up. Dutiful as ever, the punk rocker braved the paps to collect his girlfriend and her folks. Aww - how sweet!

Paris Hilton sure had a full week of gifting last week - first a birthday party for Benji, then another birthday party for Benji, and finally one last birthday party for her mother Kathy last night!

We caught up with the celebutante picking up a card for her mom from the Rite Aid yesterday afternoon. She drew a pretty considerable crowd of admirers and gawkers while she shopped - not that she minded, of course!

After a quick stop to refuel, it was over to Orso to meet up with Nicky and Kathy for a big birthday lunch. Afterwards, Nicky and Paris gave Kathy the best birthday present a mother can get - a beautiful picture with her two daughters!

X17 caught up with Nicky Hilton spending some quality time with mom Kathy at Antiquarius yesterday. But did she have anything to say about sister Paris and her new boyfriend Benji Madden?

Nuh-uh! And that's okay - we're glad Nicky respects her family's privacy.

Besides, what we really wanna know is what BFF Nicole thinks of all this - either she's totally annoyed or completely thrilled!

Paris Hilton is no stranger to movie premieres - but last night's foray onto the red carpet may well have been her favorite ever!

The celebutante was the belle of the ball last night at the premiere of her latest feature The Hottie And The Nottie.

Paris certainly looked the part of a starlet - in addition to her gorgeous pink dress, she showed up practically drenched in ice!

Other attendees included Paris' parents Rick & Kathy, longtime Hilton family friend Elliot Mintz, and - of course - Paris' costars Adam Kulbersh and Christine Lakin. Christine may have played the "nottie" in the flick, but we sure wouldn't have guessed that last night!

Afterwards, the whole crew headed over for a post-premiere party before calling it a wrap. Paris, however, couldn't resist addressing her subjects one more time before leaving - hey, she's earned the right to celebrate!

Nicky and Kathy Hilton spent some mother/daughter quality time (aka shopping) in West Hollywood yesterday. Have you ever seen Kathy Hilton NOT smiling around cameras? Well, ok, except for when her eldest was carted off to the slammer!

You may be wondering where Paris' supernatural gift for finessing the media comes from - well, if this clip is any indication, she get it from her mama! When we caught Kathy dining at Il Cielo with Nicky yesterday afternoon, the Hilton family matriarch did her best to throw the paps off the scent of her daughter, suggesting in relatively clear terms that Paris might not be in Maui after all, a contention subsequently disproven with a fair bit of finality. Luckily, Kathy had her other daughter present to give the paps something else to shoot - after all, she's probably happier with the press photographing her daughter's pearly whites than her own white lies!

Kathy Hilton got some kind words from another famous mom, Fergie (the real Duchess of York), at Mr. Chow Saturday night. The Hiltons stayed strong as they chowed down on four-star cuisine at a star-studded Beverly Hills hot-spot.
