Katie Holmes - who was recently at Sundance to promote her latest film, The Romantics - is back in Los Angeles and spending time with Suri.

X17 photogs spotted the duo heading into a dance class earlier today wearing matching red dresses! Too bad Tom wasn't around to see 'em, but I guess he's busy playing with guns and Cameron Diaz!

For the second day in a row, we spotted Katie Holmes behind the wheel of her dark blue Mercedes convertible. Obviously, she didn't have the top down, but we're still curious about what prompted her to ditch her driver and start making solo road trips around town. Up until this past week, we had NEVER seen her in the driver's seat before...

Katie Holmes was spotted waiting for her Mercedes at a valet in Beverly Hills this afternoon, and even though she kept herself busy with a string of text messages and e-mails, she still looked pretty bummed. Maybe it's the weather that's got her down in the dumps? Or is there something else eating away at Mrs. Tom Cruise?

While we're not sure what's contributing to her dour mood, these shots definitely took us by surprise, as this was the first time we've ever seen Katie driving by herself! The actress ALWAYS has a driver and a bodyguard with her at all times, so it seems like she's gained a little more independence as she's now allowed to roll around town solo. Or maybe she prefers being chauffeured around?

The Brangelina brood weren't the only celebritots to catch a Broadway showing of Mary Poppins, Tom and Katie took their little tyke to the musical Wednesday night in Los Angeles, where they got to meet the cast!

It does look like Tom enjoyed the play a little more than Suri did, though. Maybe she's less into musicals and more into experimental theater!

Yesterday we spotted Katie Holmes and a somewhat moody Suri Cruise shopping for flowers in Los Angeles, and it looks like the celebritot finally traded in the high heels for some age appropriate footwear. But it also looks like these goofy rain boots weren't her choice, as she was giving mom some major stinkeye during their adventure! Cheer up, buttercup!

Yesterday afternoon we caught Katie Holmes shopping in Beverly Hills, and it looks like she was able to ditch Suri and Tom to finish up some last minute holiday shopping. Or perhaps she was finalizing her own X-mas wishlist? She was at Hermes after all! Ugh, not like she needs another $10,000 handbag...

Yesterday afternoon we snapped a solo Katie Holmes shopping at Barneys, Pier One and several other stores in Beverly Hills, and it looks like the actress was in a rush to finish some last minute holiday shopping. It also appears as though she had a blast picking out gifts and chatting with store personnel, as we caught her beaming inside of P1. Aww, wonder what she's getting her loved ones this year?

We caught Katie Holmes and Suri checking out the Knight And Day set in Seville, Spain earlier today, and it wasn't all about Katie...Suri even got some quality time with her daddy too!

Okay, maybe not! At least this is better than Suri watching dad Tom Cruise shoot a sexy scene with co-star Cameron Diaz!

Tom, Cam and Katie Holmes watched a soccer game in Seville, Spain the other day - must be nice to take a break from filming!

Eyewitnesses tell Fox411 that Katie Holmes, along with two girlfriends, saw New Moon this past Saturday in NYC and ruined the film for the rest of the audience! Hates it.

The source says: "Katie talked through all of New Moon. It was unbelievable - they talked nonstop about the movie and everything else. Some people wanted to tell them to be quiet, but when they realized who it was, they stayed silent. No one wanted to shush Katie."

I'd shush her! It's SO annoying when people chit-chat in movie theaters once the film has started. Rude!

Little Suri Cruise is such a diva-in-training -- She may refuse to wear a sweater in cool New York weather, but at least she matches her bright green fairy back-pack to her Wellies!

Suri went out with Mama Katie and big sis Bella for a girls' shopping trip to Madwell, where Katie made off with a top. Too bad she didn't make off with a jacket for Suri (not that she'd wear it anyway), that little girl is either freezing or she's totally hot-blooded!

After shopping, the girls headed to Balthazar for lunch before going to see a ballet at Joyce Theater!

Katie Holmes and co. are back in NYC while hubby Tom Cruise films Knight & Day in Austria, and so she and daughter Suri took in a showing of The Lion King last night. Hmm, maybe they should've seen Mamma Mia! instead!

Katie Holmes has joined the cast of indie film, The Romantics, about a group of friends who reunite at a wedding.

Variety reports that Holmes has replaced Liv Tyler as the maid of honor to Anna Paquin's bride in the film, which she'll also executive produce.

The film was supposed to start production over the summer, but is set to begin shooting in New York this week, not too far from Boston, where Tom's currently filming Knight & Day!

So will Suri remain a Boston babe or go to New York with mom to be a Manhattan munchkin?

Most interestingly, Cruise was overheard chatting with a guest about the protesters outside, calling them "squirrels." He also said that they were "stuck in an electronic incident. It makes me so angry!"
