One of New York's biggest nights, The Costume Institute's Gala at the Metropolitan Museum, attracted every star from Hollywood and fashion.

Although the theme was "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy", we didn't find a lot of heroes among the fashion elite last night!

There certainly were a few standouts - Eva Longoria wowed in her Marchesa gown, the Olsen twins toned it down and got two thumbs up, and David Beckham's and Tom Brady's tuxes couldn't contain their hotness.

Course there were some fug outfits last night, too, BFFs Katie and Victoria definitely competed for that prize along with some former models!

After looking at all the ruffles, pleats, sequins, tulle and tuxes, fashion do's and don'ts, the X17 office has definitely picked a winner for "worst dressed" (click through if you care!)

BFFs TomKat and Posh & Becks all showed up to the Met's “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” Costume Gala last night in NYC wearing Armani.

While David looks appropriately heroic in his Armani tux, Tom, Katie and Posh are lookin' all kinds of wrong.

That Velvet vest Tom's sporting (Velvet in May?) does nothing to elongate his frame - Although standing next to Katie in heels doesn't help, either.

Although we can appreciate that Katie went with the theme of the night, wearing a Superman red dress with those blue pumps, that shiny strapless number looks more outdated than fashion forward, her necklace hangs in a weird place and that eye makeup is just gross.

Posh, however, seemed to go with some sort of "Vegas Wedding" theme, wearing a see-thru white lace and beaded shirt dress! Blech!

So who looked the worst?

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes always travel in style - and yesterday was no exception.

After a night out on the town, taking in a Broadway show, the couple left Manhattan by helicopter.

Katie walked slowly, carrying a barefoot Suri in her hands (precious cargo!) onto the tarmac as Tom followed, greeting fans along the way.

Although they've left the island for now, they may be due for a temporary move there soon - Katie's apparently in talks to join a Broadway production herself!

Could there be trouble in Xenudise? The Star is reporting that, at Tom Cruise's insistence, Katie Holmes recently spent a few days in the desert at a compound for hardcore Scientologists!

The mag alleges that Katie spent three days in Hemet, California at Gold Base, a "remote, supersecret Scientology compound", where she underwent rigorous auditing sessions and intensive purification processes. The Star even claims that some sessions went as long as 36 hours straight - with little in the way of food or sleep!

"It included various tests, confession sessions, tons of reading and physically challenging purification processes," a Scientology insider revealed to the Star. "Tom insists that auditing and purification practices are incredibly beneficial to Scientologists at all levels."

Calls to Holmes' rep for a comment on the Star's report were not immediately returned.

Hopefully this news doesn't turn out to be true - I mean, 36 straight hours of auditing?

Suri may have been kept under wraps as of late, but it sounds like she came out on her 2nd b-day in a big way!

According to In Touch Weekly, TomKat spent over $100,000 on their little kitten's big day, which included:

Sounds like a swanky affair - can you only imagine what they'll spend on her wedding?!?!

Guess Mrs. Cruise didn't get the memo about the dress code for Posh's party - Katie was the only one NOT dressed in black & white!

Wearing her sunglasses at night, Katie showed up in a yellowy gold sheath dress, which may have not been the most flattering for the thin and trim Katie - it looked as if she had a little baby bump! Is she preggers? Or is it just the dress?

Well, Tom wasn't exactly monochromatic either, those technicolor pinstripes are deceptively loud!

The party was apparently a success - the Beckhams booked the entire Santa Monica restaurant for the shindig. Beckham buddy Elton John sang the birthday girl "Happy Birthday", while the dj played Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G..

But they apparently didn't play any "Big Willy Style", cuz Will Smith and Jada stayed for only half an hour!

Half of A-list Hollywood came out to celebrate Victoria Beckham's 34th birthday last night.

The wide-ranging group of stars was at Via Veneto in Santa Monica to take part in the festivities.

Tom and Katie celebrated little Suri's 2nd birthday by introducing her to their family's new $30 million mansion!

You can bet the little tyke'll be ready to get out of their temporary digs at the Scientology Centre and into a more comfortable crib!

TomKat brought along Tom's mom and sister and Katie's parents (and a team of security in matching 4 Runners), for a tour of the home and the grounds, which include a tennis court and a huge pool.

Can you believe Suri Cruise turns two today? Us either!

Unfortunately, Tom and Katie have been keeping their little bundle of joy under wraps lately - it's been a while since we've seen her out with her folks. But that's okay - we put together a special birthday gallery of Suri in all her glory!

With Suri's birthday only a day away, we've been wondering what type of presents her parents would be getting her - until now!

Yesterday, we caught Katie Holmes sneaking back to her car with some freshly-purchased DVDs in hand. Could they be for Suri? We can't say for sure, but a quote on one of the boxes claims the film is "the new Mary Poppins". That certainly sounds like an age-appropriate gift for Katie's daughter - chim-chim-Suri!!

Having conquered both Hollywood and motherhood, there's only one place left for Katie Holmes to prove herself - Broadway!

The Daily Mail reports that Holmes is in "final negotiations" to appear in a Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's All My Sons later this year. The play tells the story of a woman who visits her former neighbors, the family of a missing pilot she once loved.

Katie won't be the only star in the play, of course - producer Eric Falkenstein has already reached out to John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest to take part in the revival as well. Good thing, too - this is Katie's first play since high school!

Still, her lack of theatrical experience doesn't have many critics frightened - the Daily Mail quoted one London critic as describing the idea as being "like a shop window for Katie. The aim is to remind people of her acting chops. It's kind of a neat idea."

What exciting news - we just hope Katie doesn't get stage fright!

Katie Holmes stopped by the Grill yesterday for lunch. Of course, after she took the time to speak to her fans and sign autographs, it was practically time for dinner!

Of course, Katie was all too happy to graciously indulge her peeps. Naturally, we were thrilled to see her looking out for her fans - especially since she did such an otherwise-good job of giving us the slip!

It seems like ages since we've seen Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' darling daughter Suri out with her parents - sixty-one days, to be exact!

The cutie's been missing in action since January 16th, when Katie and Tom were putting in work promoting Mad Money. Since then - nada!

The Scientology spokeswoman stepped out to Wolfgang Puck's steakhouse for a bite with her husband Tom Cruise last night to meet up with Forrest Whitaker and his wife. We caught up with them right as they were heading home - and just in time for Tom to wave our way!

One thing's for sure, though - if Katie really is knocked up, she's sure wearing it well!

Sometimes, you've just gotta pity the poor paps - for instance, when Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Will Smith, and Jada Pinkett all leave at the same time, whose photo do you snap first?

Our videographer's eyes were particularly drawn to Will's bedazzling "Party Starter" shirt. Judging by the kiss he and Jada shared in front of the paps, it looks like the party went on well after they left!
