Let's face it: when most of us talk about going to the theater, we mean that we caught a screening of Borat. Katie Holmes, however, isn't "most people" - last night, we caught Tom's bride-to-be taking in a preview performance of UCLA's Samuel Beckett celebration in her swanky black tuxedo! And judging by the smile on Katie's face, the evening was clearly an indulgence for Tom's babymomma - but could that have been because of Beckett's famous intellectual rigor, or her overpowering fiancee's absence? (As for Tom, we couldn't figure out where he might be - maybe he couldn't resist the siren song of Borat!)

Bloch, you might recall, was chosen by Cruise to replace his sister as Tom's publicist - could Paul be trying to cerebrally counterbalance all the Scientologist brainwashing to which Katie's been subjected ever since teaming up with Tom? I mean, Samuel Beckett was hardly a Clear!
