Katie, Suri & Bella Have A Girls' Day Out In New York!

Katie Holmes Suri Cruise boots sunglasses jeans dressKatie Holmes Suri Cruise sunglasses nyc boots Little Suri Cruise is such a diva-in-training -- She may refuse to wear a sweater in cool New York weather, but at least she matches her bright green fairy back-pack to her Wellies!

Suri went out with Mama Katie and big sis Bella for a girls' shopping trip to Madwell, where Katie made off with a top. Too bad she didn't make off with a jacket for Suri (not that she'd wear it anyway), that little girl is either freezing or she's totally hot-blooded!

After shopping, the girls headed to Balthazar for lunch before going to see a ballet at Joyce Theater!

First Broadway, now a ballet? Looks like Katie's making sure Suri has the best of New York!

I'm freezing in LA and it's like 65, how can she stand it in New York?

put a coat on that little girl!!!!

get her a fucking coat !!!!! if suri doesn't like long sleeves than that's her problem but as a mom you should PUT a coat on your freaking child when it's cold wow

please look at the poeple behind they're all COVER UP !!!

Ok so I do not say bad things about this family but I have to now. Look at the people behind Katie and Bella and Suri and you can see they all have winter coats on and boots. Maybe Katie should put her foot down and make this little girl wear a coat . Katie is the grown up in the family and make her wear clothes that are for the season. I can see this little girl in a few years and it is not going to be a nice site.

People, give Katie a break. My 5-year-old daughter is the exact same way. If she doesn't want the coat on, she won't wear it. My 8-year-old son is a "polar bear" as well. If Katie tried to get a coat on Suri, in public [as a celebrity], Suri would throw a tantrum and the entire incident would be photographed/taped and transmitted to the entire world. I don't blame her for letting the coat go. The weather in NYC is in the 50s, hardly cold.

Suri is diggin for gold nuggets in the streets of n.y. city

She doesn't need a break, she needs to lay down the law and be a parent. I don't care if my kids dont wear a jacket when it's *50* like you CLAIM it is.. But they sure as HELL will be wearing a long sleeved tshirt or sweatshirt.. But if it falls below that, then they sure as HELL will be wearing a coat.. If she has such a tantrum.. Keep her HOME.. Kid does NOT need to be out every single solitary day.. She's not even in SCHOOL for crying outloud.. A mom in my town here..Kept her son home from school when he refused a coat. She has to make the rules not Suri.. I don't care if she has sensory issues etcetc.. There's a girl in my 3 year olds class that is the same way she screams in class the whole day, especially when they dress her to go out.. But she's still DRESSED appropriately.. If my 5 year old tells me 'no' I tell her.. Uh hell YES. We're in CHARGE of these children. If people get CHILDREN taken away for not giving them medicine.. Calling that neglect, what about when this POOR GIRL get pneumonia? NEGLECT! Like another poster pointed out.. Look how everyone behind them is dressed.. IT'S FREAKING WINTER FOR CRYING OUTLOUD!

BE A PARENT NOT A FRIEND.
And if she's so worried about what the photogs will write when she's having a tantrum in TIME SQUARE.. Then maybe shes should USE her celebrity status.. get out there and raise awareness for whatever 'issues' Suri has!

Anyone else getting a lesbo vibe from isabella?

Let's pick our nose! Ew! lol

First of all...ENOUGH of Suri! My gosh, is this what the "entertainment" industry has decided is newsworthy? Secondly...will someone PLEASE by this child a hair brush? Do scientologists NOT BELEIVE in combing their children's hair????

Suri is growing up to be a brat...her mother's fault. WE, as parents, are in control of the well-being of our children whether they like it or not. It's not an easy job to be the ogre, but somebody has to do it. I now have a 25-year old handsome, educated, thoughtful, courteous, sweet, kind, polite young man who didn't die because I made him wear a coat in cold weather, told him "no," or spanked him every now and then.

Yes I agree put a coat on that child, when she gets a cold you'll know why, and if Suri is so stylish she would be willing to wear one of the many stylish coats I know they can afford.

1) Does anyone remember how happy and how she had a smile planted on her face 24/7 when Tom was wooing her and courting her? Now it's like (frown) or (exhaustion) all the time. 2) A child is a f**king child for a reason ~ they AREN'T ADULTS therefore they can't rationalize that they need a coat. What's more important to them is winning the battle because they are CHILDREN. Make the child wear a f**king coat.

Suri is adorable, and probably a headstrong 5 year old like my little granddaughter. The only thing I wish Katie would change is Suri's stringy, messy hair. She needs a barrett, a ponytail, or something! She always has on the cutest clothes, but she's a mess with that hair! Other than that, she's a real cutie-pie. And why oh why does someone have to ask about Isabella's sexuality? Leave her alone!

Why is this child always in sleeveless dresses? Why doesn't someone MAKE her wear a sweater or coat. She is just 3 years old! Who is the parent here?

Posted by: Anonymous

Umm, listen folks - you're viewing a paparazzi photo so don't prejudge as to why she doesn't have a coat/sweater on. I'm sure Katie and those close to Suri have the child's best at mind. So in other words - take care of your own, and don't worry about it. Just enjoy the photo and move on.

This practice of parenting is called "using natural consequences". It is way more effective than just telling a child to do something "because I said so" like so many of you suggest. Using natural consequences will teach the child HOW to think and WHY--not just do what everybody tells her to do. In this case, a parent can insist that a child wears a coat and the child could resist. The natural consequence here is to let the child experience being cold and they will learn the not wearing a coat = me being cold. (Hmmm, I should wear a coat next time.) In addition, the parent doesn't rescue the child from their choices. If they complain about being cold, just casually say, "I would be too if I wasn't wearing a coat. I am so happy I chose to wear on today."

Ever notice the way the Suri has her head tilted to the side all of the time... she can't see past that hair hanging in her face. I'm sure she has a cute face, but she just looks sloppy. I'm surprised her neck doesn't hurt. Put a clip in her hair or cut some bangs so her neck gets a break.

It occurs to me that Scientology idiots may be increasing the ever expanding bankroll,at the expense of this kid! Everyone has heavy clothing on, mother included, and Suri is dressed like the fourth of July, what a shit pile are tom and katie!

Posted by: Anonymous

anybody who is a halfway decent parent realizes that you pick the battles with kids that are important. When she gets cold, she will put on a friggin' coat. No child gets sick from being cold, for crying out loud. Every time I see Suri, she seems like a very happy, very well adjusted child. I don't see her throwing tantrums, or crying. or anything. As for people saying to brush her hair -- sheesh. She looks like she has really really fine hair -- probably nothing stays put in her hair. I feel so sorry for this child. the way everybody is so nasty about her. She is a kid.

1:22 u must not have kids. when everyone in the background has coats on and is bundled up, it's got to be freakin' cold. Every report you read says Suri is treated as a little adult which prob means they let her decide what she does 24/7. No one is nasty to Suri. It's the parents. Obviously she IS cold because in some of the pics, she's leaning up on Katie. PUT A COAT ON HER. Geeze.

suris face looks like the face of the young axel rose...

Posted by: NJ Mommy

Thank you 1:22, I can tell you are a parent. Oh, and 9:11, it IS 50 degrees here in the NY metro area. Some of you really need to relax. I have two kids, one of which wore shorts 2 days ago when it was *gasp* 60 degrees!!

I wonder how much money Tom/Katie get for having Suri model clothes. He must be desperate for money.

Posted by: American abroad

I can't imagine what life would be like -- every time you set one foot outside all sorts of strangers are snapping off flash bulbs in your face, you can't go for a bite to eat or casually shop without your every move being scrutinized & recorded for posterity...And everyone THINKS s/he knows your "business"!

Posted by: Anonymous

EVERYBODY got a jacket on but poor suri have to look nice so she has to freeze

Katie and Tom are the badest parents eva!
i was shocked after seen suri in pumps...

Posted by: Anonymous

7:04 Yes, that's why EVERYONE in the background, AND INCLUDING Katy herself has a coat on and in some instances a HAT. *gasp* All of the other adults are just dumb for covering up and you're right - the CHILD in this instance is the correct one. How silly of us.

Ewww those paps are DISGUSTING!! look how many

These pictures make me admire nicole kidman and keith urban even more for trying to keep their daughter out of the public eye. I also feel sorry for nicole (because of tom and scientology) she is being snubbed!!!!

I feel sorry for Nicoloe Kidman the way she gets snubbed by her daughter Bella (because of Tom and Scientology).

its pretty to say "lay down the law" when your childs tantrum wont be spread across the news. you dont have to worry about bored housewives calling you a bad mother because the paparazzi took a few pictures of your daughter during the 5 minutes she didnt have a coat on.

Calm the hell down. this little girl has enough to worry about she doesnt need to hear it from you guys.

I rad where Katies parents want her to leave Cruise for her own safety !!
She always looks sad !!
Remember Katie when she always wore that radiant smile !!

Posted by: Anonymous

Think perhaps Suri's covering her face with her 'messy' hair b/c she's totally blinded by flashbulbs every time she goes out?? I feel terrible for them.

Posted by: Anonymous

Do something with that kids hair. It always looks a mess and is in her eyes.

All paparazy, get a life. Why they follow actor or signer like that. They are like us with a different job and they are more popular, but they have a life too, so let them live it free. Will you like that paparazy follow you all the day. And that poor kid. All paparazy, GET A FUCKING LIFE, SELFISH IDIOT.

I'm surprised Suri's wearing boots - usually she's barefoot, or wears just sandals - without socks!! - while her caring parents wear sweaters, winter coats and boots.
