Yeah, it IS really easy to ignore protestors when they are a block away.

Sad, sad, sad...sad that this group can't see how violent and frightening they appear to people in their clockwork orange-ish regalia and angry, violent chants. I wish all of them an awakening beyond this hatred and that they grow through this phase quickly. There are real problems in the world they could focus their energies on. How about helping someone better their lives? Or feeding someone who's hungry? Or talking about peace in the face of war? Instead, they dress like halloween characters and yell angrily at someone for their beliefs which the constitution entitles them to? I don't understand this. It is such negative, wasted time.

For those of you who wonder why Anonymous protrests scientology google ExScientologyKids and read about the abuses these ex-scientologists have had to endure. Many protestors choose to hide their faces because the cult of scientology goes out of its way to find the identities of its critics and harasses/sues them - free speech is constitutionally protected and scientologist's forget this. Anonymous is not about hatred but about awareness. scientology is a dangerous, mind controlling, money grabbing, criminally convicted UFO cult that is getting a pass in this country while other countries are starting to wake up to the lies, illegal activities and con that is the cult of scientology - wake up people!
Myrna, FYI - Anonymous has indeed helped many people who have left this cult and will continue to do so.

I think they look creepy, and it doesn't help that they give off that scary vibe. I think Katie's picture look normal in comparison to them. Telling a grown woman what to do, it's one thing to protest against the things a church does wrong, but not against someone for believing in certain beliefs. I'm with Myrna on this. I've read all of these sites, looked into the history of the CoS, hell, I even sat down and read Dianetics (I don't recommend it), and you know what? Even if every single negative thing said about the CoS is true, and none of the positive is -- there are MUCH bigger fish to fry. It is very disappointing to see the organizational capacity and creativity of "Anonymous" squandered on what is, essentially, an over-played 4chan joke.
How 'bout we save half a million Sudanese children before we worry about Katie Holmes? Or is that not cool enough because there's no V for Vendetta tie-in?

Katie Holmes is just a symbol of the thousands who are at risk in this cult. what most people don't understand is the far reaching tentacles of the cult. so it is not just the people in the cult that should be concerned but we all should.

Do you care that they can take tax deductions for religious education that no other religion can? Do you care that they are lobbying all across the world to deny you and others the right to proper medial/psychiatric treatment? Do you care that they are forcing abortions on women, holding people against their will in virtual prison camps, exploiting child labor, and silencing their critics through illegal means?

It might be cool and safe to say at every turn let's help sudanese children. But what about also straightening out messes right here? And Scientology is one big mess that the government of the united States should be addressing, just like the European Union has done. They realize the danger it represents. Most of the United States just thinks it's a wacky cult and doesn't get yet why there should be an organized movement against it. That's what Anonymous is doing, bringing that awareness, not only here, but all over the world.
