Jack Bauer In Jail
Well, sorta: Us Magazine reports that DUI-plagued actor Kiefer Sutherland was sentenced to 48 days in jail for his September arrest - and went straight from the courthouse to the big house!
Sutherland, arrested after making an illegal U-turn and blowing an alleged .16 after being stopped by the police, was booked into jail at 5:46 yesterday afternoon, and was assigned a work detail "involving kitchen detail and laundry duty". To hear the cops talk about it, it sounds unlikely that he'll be pulling a Nicole - Us quotes Sgt. Tom Lorenz of the Glendale Police Department as saying "There is no early release. It's a must-do 48 days deal. The only person that can shorten the sentence is the judge, and I do not ever see that happening."
We feel terrible that Kiefer's going through such a rough patch, but we're encouraged by the way he's taking care of business. Let's just hope those 48 days pass quickly!
