Photographer Falls To His Death After Lady Gaga's Arrival At The ACE Awards
This sounds like something straight out of one of her music videos, but sadly, a photographer was pronounced dead last night at the ACE Awards shortly after Lady Gaga's arrival.
An X17 lensman on the scene tells X17online exclusively that A.J. Sokalner was perched atop a ladder, and minutes after Lady GaGa showed up to the awards ceremony, Sokalner fell, hit his head and appeared motionless.
Our X17 photographer tells us:
- "There were people attempting to revive him, and when the ambulance came, it stayed for 10 minutes before pulling away from the event. A.J. was turning blue, and I witnessed EMTs raise his legs and give him CPR."
NYPD confirmed to X17online that the man was not breathing when paramedics arrived, and an ambulance took him to Bellevue Hospital at 9:07pm EST where he was pronounced dead.
Interestingly enough, this isn't the first time Sokalner had an accident - our X17 photographer also tells us that he fainted while shooting Rob Pattinson earlier this summer. He tells X17online exclusively:
- "He passed out on the Remember Me set a few months ago, but he seemed okay afterwards, so no one really thought twice about it. He was a nice, quiet guy, and he will definitely be missed."
While Lady GaGa couldn't be reached for a comment, it appears as though she had nothing to do with the accident, though her horrendous outfit is a whole other story!
It looks like she got a lacey slip stuck on her head, rolled around in a mountain of Tony Montana's favorite powdery white substance, stole some satin skivvies from Victoria's Secret and hightailed it over to the red carpet. Not sexy!
