When Lane Garrison was sentenced to forty months behind bars for vehicular manslaughter last year, we thought we'd seen the last of the Prison Break actor - but we might be seeing him a little sooner!
E! Online is reporting that, thanks to credits earned through his good behavior, Garrison may only have to serve twenty months of his sentence - which would let the actor out as early as January!
According to an insider, the actor has spent his months behind bars to date playing basketball, reading, and attempting to write. "He said he reached the darkest depths he could imagine and could barely move his body, let alone write something," the insider told the network. "For the first time now, he has been able to actually see beyond and look into the future."
Of course, Lane's also been doing some serious soul-searching - the same insider claims that Lane "remains very distraught" over the actions which put him in the pokey in the first place. "It is depressing," the source adds, "but he is holding on."
What do you think - has Lane learned his lesson? Or does the punishment not fit the crime?
Whether Lane serves his full sentence or gets out in January, we sure hope he's learned his lesson - that drinking and driving are never a good combination!
