Lane Garrison To Get Sprung?

LGARRISON030807_01.jpg When Lane Garrison was sentenced to forty months behind bars for vehicular manslaughter last year, we thought we'd seen the last of the Prison Break actor - but we might be seeing him a little sooner!

E! Online is reporting that, thanks to credits earned through his good behavior, Garrison may only have to serve twenty months of his sentence - which would let the actor out as early as January!

According to an insider, the actor has spent his months behind bars to date playing basketball, reading, and attempting to write. "He said he reached the darkest depths he could imagine and could barely move his body, let alone write something," the insider told the network. "For the first time now, he has been able to actually see beyond and look into the future."

Of course, Lane's also been doing some serious soul-searching - the same insider claims that Lane "remains very distraught" over the actions which put him in the pokey in the first place. "It is depressing," the source adds, "but he is holding on."

What do you think - has Lane learned his lesson? Or does the punishment not fit the crime?

Whether Lane serves his full sentence or gets out in January, we sure hope he's learned his lesson - that drinking and driving are never a good combination!

Leave him alone and give him a chance. His actions will speak volumes more than your words.

Wow not much for killing two people....won't even = 1 year per life taken. I would be pissed if I was the victims family !!

Let him be forgiven. We all make mistakes in life and his were not intentional, although drinking behind the wheel is by no means an accident or even close to one. I think everyone deserves a second chance. I pray that his suffering ends and that he too eventually forgives himself. I also pray that the victim's family forgives him as well.

I only hope that he does a lot of community service, at schools, wherever to bring out the message that drinking and driving is wrong. If he can continue to do this throughout the rest of his life, then maybe maybe his mistake can help save future lives.

I just can't help but feel a bit sorry for him even though i don't condone drinking and driving. He just looks so sad.

He is so cool. I saw his profile with some photos on Richsoulmate.com, where pro athletes, celebrities, beauty queens, super models and wealthy singles mingle. The profile looks sincere and attractive. Maybe sometimes they really need a soul mate rather than a rich buddy. It's said some celebs have found their perfect match there.

I think that living with what happened is doing more for him than being behind bars. I will admit that I used to be stupid and drive after leaving a bar. But because of his public service announcement, I stopped. I thought about other people more than myself and changed my views. I think even though that was a terrible event, everyone has learned a little something and maybe something good has come out of it.

Well, considering that states across the country are consider releasing far more violent criminals than Garrison, because they don't have the money to keep them behind bars, I bet he gets out soon. He appears to be truly sorry for what he's done.

Once again this goes to show you how a celeb can be forgiven so easily by so many because he appears sad in pics! Come on, what he did was unforgivable in my book! Imagine if it was your mother, father, wife, husband or even your child that he killed. Would you be so ready to see him set free?? I think not.
