Lane Garrison's "Out-Of-Body" Prison Experience
Lane Garrison may be locked up - but he won't let that keep him from reaching out!
The imprisoned Prison Break actor wrote a letter to Access Hollywood recently in which he goes on the record about his life behind bars - including what it's like to watch his show go on without him!
“Just this past Monday they let a group of inmates watch the season premiere of Prison Break,” Garrison wrote. "It felt like an out of body experience as I stood around a crowd of tattooed felons watching Michael Scofield try to escape … all of us longing to be free as well!”
"It’s pure irony coming from the show and now living the real deal," he said. "It’s surreal and mind-blowing to say the least.”
Of course, Garrison's real reason for writing was to urge people to learn from the tragic example set by his conviction for vehicular manslaughter.
“This has been the hardest year of my life,” Garrison wrote. “I hope people, young and old, are learning from my mistakes and what can happen when you drink and drive. I have much to say about the pain I’ve felt and seen inside of prison. It has been eye-opening and a harrowing experience.”
Us too!
Lane's expressed nothing but regret and sorrow ever since this terrible ordeal first started - while we can't excuse what he did, we certainly think he deserves to be recognized for the responsible way in which he's been handling it!
