It's a minor surgery. My brother had it when he was little and he was fine! I wish everyone would stop making such a huge deal about it.

Considering the video of Anna while pregnant, Larry should be relieved this is something that can be fixed. He is lucky she does not have mental retardation from all the drugs her mother took.

I had to have that surgery when I was 2, myself. They completey take your eye out of the socket. Mine turned out perfectly, and that was 26 yrs ago!

I think he "pimps" her out as you call it because he feels the need to prove that he's a good dad and loves his child. Howard K. Stern and Anna dragged him over the coals! He obviously has a relationship with particular shows and feels comfortable sharing her in that way.

My daughter was 9 months when she had surgery on her eye. She was fine. Better to do it now than wait until she is older.

I have strabismus in both my eyes and my doctor said surgery could have made me go blind, so I have to wear bifocules (glasses). I doubt she will need surgery as I have it and they told me I couldn't have surgery!

there are millions, zillions even, of ppl out there that have this done every year and she'll be fine. it' VERY COMMON. and she only seems to have it in one eye "Kate".

My niece has the same thing and we were told that the surgery is purely cosmetic to straighten the eye. It doesn't correct the vision problems.

I bet he keeps her in a play pen with a mobile hanging over it. That is the #1 cause of this. The baby's eyes need to adjust to various distances and if they have a mobile, won't adjust properly.

My son had surgery for strabismus when he was 10 months old. They do NOT remove the eyeball from the socket; they do align the eyes so that they will track together and then make adjustments to the interior and exterior muscles to hold them in place. It is most likely cosmetic but that's a good thing as it will prevent the eye from drifting. Whether or not she develops vision problems will not be a result of the surgery and will be corrected with glasses or contacts. No big deal. This is often a genetic trait as it has been for 3 generations in my family.

2 of my sons have Strabissmus, and the surgury DOES NOT correct life-long eye problems. Both my boys have NO DEPT-PERSEPTION, and the youngest is legally blind without glasses. trabissmus is serious but she can still live a long, happy life She will have to be watch more carefully, though, because of the lack f dept-percption. I've lost count of how many times my boys have walked into walls, fell off ledges, you name it, because they can't tell how far away anything is. Matter-of-fact, my oldest son (17) got hit by a truck crossing the street because he couldn't tell how far away it was!! Thank God, he's okay But it drills home just How serious this disorder can be. So Larry needs to love her, and keep a watch over her.
