Lauren Conrad may have already written the book on how to parlay a role on an MTV reality show into a life-long career, but the successful reality star/failed designer is also attempting to write a book on style, despite having none of her own.

The LA Candy bestselling author will be coming out with a new book, inventively titled Lauren Conrad Style, to be released by Harper Collins next year.

“I am really excited to write a style guide,” said Conrad in a release. “I think fashion should be fun and reflective of who you are. When you wear clothes you feel good in, it shows in everything you do. I know this guide will offer simple, practical tips to help anyone look fabulous.”

"Lauren Conrad" and "looking fabulous" are not phrases I would use in the same sentence, but I guess you want to spend a lot of money at expensive boutiques to look perfectly acceptable and boring, this is exactly the book for you!

She's just been hanging out with BFF Lo (and, apparently, Steph Pratt)! The former reality TV starlet dined out at Katusya last night and then hit up the Maxim party at Voyeur because yes, life does go on after The Hills.

Only now she doesn't need to worry about Speidi! Phew.

But seriously, which one of these girls will ever play the video game Assassin's Creed 2? I don't understand launch parties!

Last night Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth attended SBE’s launch of Hyde Lounge at the Staples Center, and as always, both of the reality TV stars kept it boring simple on the red carpet.

Lo's still desperately clinging to her fifteen minutes, and even though Lauren left The Hills to pursue more uh, meaningful endeavors, she still shows up to the same events. Hmm, is it because she just misses her former co-stars, or is she still trying to stay relevant too?

She hasn't filmed an episode of The Hills in a while, but the cameras are still following Lauren Conrad everywhere she goes.

Yesterday LC and BFF Lo Bosworth shopped at Madison in Los Angeles, and while I find her very cute and fashion conscious, I do NOT understand the fascination with this girl! She's a reality TV star who suddenly decided that she didn't want to be famous anymore - what's so interesting about that?

You know awards season is off and running once the Hollywood Style Awards are given out!

The prestigious award for "Young Men's Style Icon" was bestowed on Brody Jenner last night, presented to him by none other than successful designer (gag) Lauren Conrad.

We kind of suspect Hollywood Life gave Brody this award because he looks good in just about anything (and even better in next to nothing), but Lauren as a presenter? I mean, I love the girl, but her leather-jacket-over-floral-party-dress is so last season.

After Kristin's somewhat disappointing bow as the star of the new Hills, we're actually kinda glad to see boring old Lauren out and about! Sure, there's one less camera crew following her around now, but we knew this best-selling author couldn't stay away from the fame for too long!

We spotted her out at MI-6 last night flying solo. I guess her girls are all too busy pretending to be each other's besties now!

LA Candy, the fictional book reality star Lauren Conrad wrote about a girl who becomes a reality star, was acquired by the executive producers of Twilight, says Variety, who plan on turning Lauren's New York Times bestseller (yep) into a movie.

So that means, if the film gets made, we'll be watching a scripted movie about a fictional reality star who has cameras follow her around during every aspect of her carefully scripted life.

Sorry, but if I'm watching a fake reality star act out a scripted scene, I'd rather just watch The Hills.

And what about Lauren Conrad? She earned the most back when she was on - $125,000/episode!

I thought reality TV shows were supposed to be cheap to make???

Lauren Conrad may have quit The Hills, but she's definitely been keeping herself busy! Whether she's prancing around on the beach with her shirtless BF or grabbing lunch in Beverly Hills with her BFFs, it looks like the wannabe fashion designer has her calendar totally booked! But wait a second...isn't that Kim Kardashian's BFF Jonathan? Think Kim knows he's stepping out on her with another cute reality TV starlet?

But we're not talking about her abs...we're drooling over her boyfriend's!

Lauren Conrad and her steady bf Kyle Howard hit the beach in Malibu over the weekend, and the low key couple seemed to have a blast playing with Lauren's pooch. Aww, but why isn't Lauren flaunting HER hot beach bod? Hiding something?

Unlike a certain other X17online blogger, I may not have a soft spot for Lauren Conrad, but I can (rather grudgingly) give her praise for a great outfit from time to time.

I was prepared to rip Lauren a new one for her judging gig on last night's episode of America's Next Top Model, but I'm so mesmerized by her outfit that I'm willing to go easy on the reality TV star/wannabe fashion desiger. LC's beautiful bronze Louboutins are right on the money, and I'm def digging the Chanel clutch and the chic updo. While the dress and belt combo isn't the first thing I'd pick, it looks wonderful on Lauren's figure, so A-plus for her.

Now, can we talk about what an evil wench she was last night on ANTM? Not only did she make a snide remark about Jennifer's eyes (duh, the poor girl has a condition called ptosis!) but she was totally playing little miss know it all, and I wanted to reach right into my TV and smack her.

But the question is...is someone actually paying Lauren Conrad to endorse SmartWater? This girl already makes so much money doing nothing (she's not an Oscar-winning humanitarian, k?), so it wouldn't surprise us if she was getting a hefty chunk of change to walk around with Jennifer Aniston's fav drink!

LC was snapped shopping in West Hollywood yesterday, and as always, the aspiring fashion designer flashed some major b*tchface to photogs. Oh little Miss Conrad...we know you're gonna miss 'em someday!

Lauren talks to the mag about her boyfriend Kyle Howard, and how she sometimes gets a little soft around the middle when she starts up a new relationship. Really? Could've fooled us, LC! “I call it the 'boyfriend layer',” she tells the mag. "We were having more romantic dinners out, and I was exercising less." So her solution to the extra weight? "I just ask Kyle, 'You feel like working out?' It’s more fun than hitting the gym alone. We like doing outdoor stuff: tennis, bike riding, kayaking, stand-up surfing, hiking in the canyons around LA." Aww, looks like the younger generation's Jennifer Aniston is finally happy in love...good for her!

Lauren also talked about her new fashion line, LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s, which will hit stores this October. Hmm, hopefully she'll have more success with this venture than she did with her last one...remember that overpriced disaster?
