Sarah Palin put herself before her family in accepting the VP position. Of course her daughters pregnancy would be an issue,whether or not media jumped on it. Her daughter is 17! It would come to light, she had to know this full well in even considering the position. SHE is responsible for this firestorm. Its so typical to try to make her the victim, she chose this road. Im tired of hearing this is a typical american family. I dont think so and its a sad reflection of what we are finding so acceptable. Our children deserve better, and we should TEACH them better, just saying No isnt working. There are too many babies born by teenage mothers/fathers and being raised in poverty and abused. A majority of these teens are initially excited about the prospect of "playing house" then reality sets in and the baby is left with multiple babysitters, while the parents are out partying. So many of these babies see different stand in daddys and mommies in their lives. So,from where I sit I dont think Sarah Paulin is such a great and responsible parent. Nor do i think this is an issue we need to just sweep under the rug and pretend like its okay. Not all families will care for the unborn child, the way Sarah Paulin is painting her picture perfect handling of this in their family. I dont think we should glamorize this, the unborn babies are the ones to pay the price.
