Madonna Already Celebrating Mercy's Adoption!
Even though it hasn't yet been finalized, Madonna is already celebrating the adoption of three-year-old Mercy James by throwing a party at the Kumbali Lodge in Malawi!
Raising Malawi staff and government officials joined the queen of pop at the event, and earlier today a truck carrying traditional dancers was spotted arriving at the luxurious lodge, according to Us Weekly.
Mercy's uncles, Peter Baneti and John Ngalande, also showed up to the soiree, and Beneti told Us, "Mercy is now assured of a good education away from the abject poverty of our village. Madonna has assured us she will not cut her ties with us."
Judge Esme Chombo is expected to sign off on the adoption at a hearing tomorrow at Lilongwe High Court at 8:30 a.m. local time.
Hmm, funny how this adoption happened so fast...think Madonna's fame and money had anything to do with it? Hmm...wonder how extravagant this party was!
