Pap claims three X17 photographers beat him ‘almost to death’; agency owners say photographers are not under contract.

If you’re a paparazzo, covering Britney Spears can be a dangerous job — and not just because she might run over your foot with her car. A photographer who follows the singer filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles on Wednesday against photo agency X17, claiming three of the company’s photographers severely beat him following a chase in which he had gained the lead.

Alison Silva told MTV News that on March 5, he had parked one block away from Spears’ home when three X17 photographers — whom he identified as Thomas Madiana, Carlos Madiana and Max Rinadelle — allegedly approached him and said, “You should not be here. Only X17 gets these shots.”

Silva claims that one of the photographers punched him and knocked him to the ground, then the three kicked him to the point where he passed out. When he came to, he claims they were kicking him in the face. “I didn’t know what was going on,” he said.

Three witnesses called 911, and Silva was taken by ambulance to the emergency room with a police escort, according to the police report. One of the witnesses told police officers that he heard one of the attackers say, “Let’s go f— him up, there are 10 of us here,” saw one of the attackers go get a metal tube from his car for that purpose, and heard another attacker say, “Don’t kill him! Don’t kill him!”, according to the report.

At Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, California, Silva was treated for blunt head trauma and a broken nose, according to the medical report. Silva said his injuries temporarily rendered him unable to drive or operate a camera.

“They kicked and punched me almost to death,” Silva said. “I was beat up for doing my job. Most people think, ‘Oh, he’s just a paparazzo, he’s nothing.’ But this is not nothing. This is a big business, and if it weren’t for people like me, those pictures wouldn’t be in the magazines you enjoy.”

Silva asks for unspecified general and punitive damages in his suit, in which he accuses X17 of battery; assault; false imprisonment; intentional infliction of emotional distress; negligent infliction of emotional distress; negligence; and negligent training, supervision and retention of unfit employees.

“They’re going to say the claims are bogus,” Silva’s attorney, Joseph Farzam, told MTV News. “But my client has a claim. All it takes is for someone to take a look at the photos of his broken nose, blue eyes, bloody eyes, and you can see that he was injured. Someone has to be held responsible.”

Although Britney Spears' appearance on How I Met Your Mother was a ratings hit and media outlets keep using the word "comeback," sources tell Star that Brit's three-day stint on the set was nothing short of a nightmare!

JAMIE SPEARS WANTS BRITNEY BACK WITH KEVIN

Britney Spears’ dad has begged the troubled star’s ex-husband Kevin Federline to take her back, it has been claimed.

Jamie Spears is reportedly desperate to see Federline and Spears reunite, and for Kevin to assume control of her affairs.

But K-Fed is resisting Jamie’s efforts to become the conservator of 26-year-old Spears’ estate, according to U.S reports.

Federline, who was dumped by Britney in November 2006, currently has custody of the former couple’s two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

I don't know what that source is you quote for Britney's conservatorship information, but there's not a judge in the land, on the globe even, who would award conservatorship of a person and their finances to an ex-husband when the object of the conservatorship is still in a bitter, hotly contested custody and financial battle with him. That is ridiculous to the extreme. If someone actually printed that, they are lame beyond belief.

If they need new conservators, the court will simply appoint another attorney like Wallet, someone impartial who is a specialist in that area.

If Britney had any erratic behavior on the tv show set, that confirms the diagnosis of a mental disorder, particularly manic/depressive/bipolar with some paranoia going on. However, I have heard nothing but good reports about her behavior and interaction. If any of that was true, it seems to be some personal business she took care of away from the set anyway. She's entitled. Bottom line, she was a success in her role and the reports are good.

Medical expenses? Britney I'm sure has excellent health insurance and should not really have health expenses beyond her deductible at this point. She pays for her own health insurance, that of her children, and probably the health insurance for all her employees.

When someone is addicted to drugs, as long as they stay off the drugs, they will do better, it not return to normal, but mental illness is for life and would be much more harmful and damaging to someone's reputation and career! I also find it really sad that as a society we continue to make fun of someone that is clearly sick. Until you have lived with mental illness or loved someone with a mental illness you cant imagine the pain of it all. It would be extemely unheard of to make fun of someone with MS or Cancer but yet people do it to mentally ill people. They can no more prevent their mental illness than someone with a physical ailment can prevent theirs. I have noticed that the media has backed off considerably from making fun of her and that is a good sign that compassion has not completely been lost.

She can not help that she is ill and if someone messses with her medication like Sam Lufti admittedly did there is no wonder she went off the deep end. Bipolar Disorder requires maintenance everyday. To find the appropriate drugs for treatment of the type of Bipolar Disorder one has and also to utilize in the proper manner which in Britney's case was not being done. Sam was giving her coctails of drugs and added tothat she was heavy into caffeine and nicotine and no telling what else. I find it difficult to believe she was on meth for one simple reason. I work in a rehab and people who are using meth almost always have pock marks on the skin where lesions are formed as the toxins from the meth that can not be filtered out of the body any other way come out through the pores on the skin. Britney may have a little acne but certainly nothing like she would have had if she was using meth.
