Most of us would probably be too exhausted after a big TV taping to hit the town - but then again, most of us aren't superdivas like Mariah Carey!

Mimi was in town with her new hubby Nick Cannon to tape an episode of Ellen last night. After the show, however, Mariah and Nick's night was just getting started - they went straight from the studio over to Fred Segal's for a little after-hour shopping!

Of course, all that shopping can leave you famished - so it's no wonder that the happy couple headed off to Gyu-Kaku for a late Japanese dinner! (We're guessing they wish they hadn't been in quite such a hurry for dinner - especially after watching their driver bump into a pole and chip the paint!

The chart-topping singer emerged from her dinner date with her new hubby Nick Cannon after last night's big Time 100 party at 2 AM only to find herself in the middle of a rainstorm. Luckily, Nick was there to shield her from the rain with an umbrella while someone brought the pop starlet a brolly of her own - what a gentleman!

Our photographers also report that, with rain continuing to fall even today, Mimi hasn't been seen since - she and Nick are still holed up at her place. Could she just be enjoying a little alone-time with her new husband? Or might Mimi be laying low to dodge everyone's questions?

Sad news for Mariah Carey and Fergie's middle eastern fans - the chart-topping singers have been forced to reschedule their big concert in Dubai!

The "Divas in Dubai" showcase had been scheduled for two days in May, with Mariah and Fergie headlining on the 15th and 16th (respectively). Unfortunately, earlier today Mel Tyler of Midas Promotions - one of the companies putting on the concert - released the following statement:

“The extremely compressed time frame along with unforeseen logistical complications compelled us to move the event later in the year to ensure a show commensurate with the level of success of these world class Artists and the people of Dubai.”

Another producer added, “Mariah and Fergie are disappointed that they won’t be able to perform. They had scheduled this one special event in their calendars and were looking forward to performing for the Dubai fans.”

But it's not all bad news - the promoters are promising to reschedule the big show for the fall. And besides, Mariah's still scheduled to perform at the Time 100 party tonight - she's keeping those legendary vocal cords fresh!

As for Fergie? We're sure she'd have enjoyed the vacation - but it's not like she hasn't taken a trip of her own lately!

People Mag deposited money into Nick's and Mariah's accounts got these exclusive pix of Mariah and Nick's Bahamian wedding AND an exclusive interview from the diva herself.

Mariah told the mag, "We really do feel we are soulmates ... I never felt love like this was in the cards for me."

Nick said, "She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside."

Fox News reports that Mrs. Nick Cannon acted like a "smart, smart businesswoman" in regard to her recent nuptials.

"Anyone who thinks we didn't have a prenup is smoking something!" exclaimed Mariah Carey to their source. Well, there ya have it! The "Touch My Body" singer has come a long way since her Glitter days - good to know she thought ahead this time!

Also, Fox says to expect a big party - maybe even another ceremony - when the newlyweds return from their honeymoon.

It seems like only yesterday that we were reporting that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were planning to get married (in fact, it was only yesterday) but the couple must have decided to speed things up - because now it's being reported that they've already wed!

Latina.com is reporting that the chart-topping singer married her actor boyfriend Nick Cannon in a small ceremony on an as-yet-unidentified island. The guest list for Mariah's wedding might have been even smaller than the one for Jay-Z and Beyonce's nuptials - even Mariah's publicist admitted that the news of Mariah's marriage was "news to her". In fact, of the few close friends the couple invited to attend, the only famous name to surface yet is Da Brat!

Mimi may sing like a diva - but she sure doesn't marry like one!

Looks like everyone's suspicions about Mariah Carey's ring were for real - Access Hollywood is reporting that the singer and boyfriend Nick Cannon have gotten engaged!

The news was confirmed by a source close to Carey. The marriage will be Cannon's first and Carey's second.

Calls to Carey's reps were not returned in time for publication. Nick's publicist, however, just shot us an email claiming "no comment" - hmmmm!

And Jackson points out that the kids would be well served to pay attention, too - after all, as Jackson points out, "she sold 175 million albums! I don't know if anyone will ever get to that point ever again because the music business is in such disarray."

Now we're just left wondering - will Mariah bring rumored bf Nick Cannon along? Guess we'll just have to wait until tonight's broadcast to find out!

We've been warning y'all for months to keep an eye on how Mariah Carey's new single "Touch My Body" performs on the charts. Well, hopefully you've been paying attention - because yesterday, Mimi made history!

With "Touch My Body"'s ascent to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 yesterday, Mariah unseated Elvis Presley to become the solo artist with the most career #1 records with 18 total chart-toppers. Unfortunately, she's still two number ones behind the all-time leaders the Beatles, but as Billboard points out, there's still a month to go before her album E=MC2 actually sees release - numbers 19 and 20 might well be on it!

And, stunningly, that wasn't even the only record Mariah broke yesterday - "Touch My Body" also set the single-week record for most digital downloads since Billboard started tracking the stat! Mimi's 286,000 stomped a mudhole into the old record, previously held by Rihanna and the 277,000 copies of "Umbrella" she moved last June.

Needless to say, we're thrilled for Mariah - the King may be dead, but the Queen's doin' just fine!

The diva was in the City of Lights to shoot a video and soak up some adulation from her French fans - when all of a sudden, one of her more ardent fans lunges out of the crowd and starts heading right for her!

Thankfully, Mariah's bodyguards were fully prepared to handle the situation and kept the guy a safe distance away from the singer. Jeez, guy - you can look, but you can't touch!

Ok, I was super excited for The Hills premiere last night, but OMG, so disappointing!

You could see the "mishaps" like Collette being closed and the Alberta Ferretti dressed being ruined coming from a mile away -- and, hello? WTF is up with Lauren not macking on that hot French rock star??? (I'm not gonna even comment about the boring Heidi vs. Spencer drama in Colorado.)

The best part about the whole show was Mariah Carey hanging out with Lauren et al in her skin tight mini-dress and her gold lamé jacket! And her little anecdotes? Brillz, y'all. I love how she claims she stays in shape by eating really "boring" and working out all the time. If that were the case, why was she pulling a "Tyra", tilting her body away from the camera and sucking in her gut the entire time?

I also love how Lauren looked absolutely terrified to speak directly to the diva -- like she was afraid Mariah would devour her right then and there!

Because who did we spot there last night?

Mariah Carey! The singing sensation spent her evening partying at the posh Hollywood hot spot.
