Smoking is not the only thing in this world that causes cancer. My brother died of cancer & he didn't even smoke. People need to find something else to blame for cancer. Maybe try like the plastic water containers or the plastic bowls you eat out of everyday. And what about lead in these toys in the U.S. that kids chew on everyday and causes deformation & retardation.
I'm not glamourizing smoking, but you can only blame it on smoking for only so long. It's 09'- get w/it people.

Second hand smoke killed my mother at the age of 60. My father who was a Cardiologist (go figure)smoked 5 packs a day. sometimes up to 7 depending on who was over. (He was 25 years older than my mom). He died 20 years ago and still the effects of it ruined my mothers life, her children and grandchildrens lives. So to "find someone else to blame" You need to go back to college perhaps med school. I remember back in the day the 1970's going to work with my dad and while he was with a patient he would smoke. They also smoked in the waiting rooms of the ER. I am glad times have changed. People have a choice not to use plastic.

Smoking is gross, vile and it does kill. Watching a loved one gasp for breath the last day of their life was something that never leaves you. It is not glamorous nor does it look good. It makes people smell. Nothing is worse than standing in line behind someone who thinks they look like all that and they smell like a rank ashtray. Yes, cancer is caused by other things as well (to the rocket scientist who mentioned it earlier) but there is NO reason to smoke, none!

Actually most of the oldest living people in the Guiness Book of Records smoked, so what's killing all the non-smokers? google it if you don't believe me.
