DEA Joins Jackson Death Investigation

MJacksonHiding061609x.jpg A law enforcement official in Washington D.C. has confirmed that the Drug Enforcement Administration is now joining the investigation of Michael Jackson's death.

According to The Associated Press, the official says the Los Angeles Police Department asked the DEA to step in because of their knowledge and resources of illicit drug manufacturers known as "pill mills."

The federal agency would also play a role in looking at Jackson's doctors and whether they were registered with the DEA to prescribe drugs. Also, federal investigators will try to determine the sources of the drugs doctors prescribed for Jackson to see whether or not there is a trafficking pattern.

Sounds like some pretty serious stuff...should be interesting to see what they'll find!

This makes the Anna Nicole Smith case look like child's play!

ironic, where i live a regular person cannot even get pain medication in advance of a surgery, if they can even get it prescribed at all. the prescriptions are given out after the surgery or procedure to prevent the patient taking it in advance. also FREQUENT Doctor visits to get any type of this medication refilled. these "Doctors" that are used for celebritie's drug habits need to be caught and made an example of, it is totally un-acceptable that this has and is still going on.

family and friends keep repeating that Michael was "not into recreational drugs" "he was totally against this type of thing" DUH, why get street drugs when you can get the good stuff delivered. no white washing it (excuse the pun) an addict is an addict...period!

I’m not surprised LAPD asked DEA to join the investigation. This prescription drug addict’s appetite for dangerous pharmaceuticals probably set a new record. He’s dead and his yes men will to prison. Oh well.
