It's unfortunate that Katherine is married to Joe. Based on the way she's with the kids and handling or trying to handle Michael's death, she's doing it with dignity. Debbie wanted nothing to do with even while married to Michael. She easily walked away when enough money was given to her. I agree with 12:45. Janet is the most independent but she prefers secrecy (such as her two childless marriages) over family confrontation. Janet lives her life on her own terms; that is very different from challenging her mother in custody court. Janet has not said anything about wanting the children. Diana Ross said she does not want to raise them. Whoever keeps suggesting different people to raise them, these are children not puppies. The judge can’t just pick a name from a hat.

Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan said Friday that three men are being sought for questioning in the deaths Thursday night. He says the men were driving a red van seen leaving the home of Byrd and Melanie Billings, the couple found shot to death in Beulah, west of Pensacola.

Authorities say the eight children living in the home were found safe. They say deputies had to wake some of the children who ranged from 8 to 14 years old.

The Billings had 16 children, 12 of them adopted.

The Billings owned several businesses and were known for their generosity in adopting children with disabilities and from troubled backgrounds.
