Monday nights is one of our favorite nights on television - because of GG and The Hills!

Last night's Gossip Girl wasn't quite as scandalous as we had hoped -- but it did feature some classic Josh Schwartz moments, probably some of the best all season, particularly where the old gang got back together for the sake of Serena, and everyone confessed their sins out in the open. And -- we totes love Michelle Trachtenberg as the evil Georgina!

As for The Hills, it's turning out to be quite a Lo vs. Audrina smackdown, and sorry Lo, but our loyalties lie with Audrina! There's just something so insincere about Lo - maybe it's just that she's not as good an actress as the rest?

Speaking of acting, the series finale saw Heidi, the "feminist hero" choosing between her job and Spencer. No surprise, since it's a fake job anyway, that she chose Spencer. But duh, didn't she see season one where Lauren chose Jason over Paris and regretted it? That's sooo 2006, Heidi!

We wholeheartedly love and support GG and The Hills and are totally addicted to both -- we couldn't possibly pick sides, but can you?

Numerous lovely ladies showed up for the 2007 Crystal/Lucy Awards, celebrating women in film and television, this past Thursday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Actress Renee Zellweger - whose curves are slowly returning! - received the Crystal Award for excellence in film and The Devil Wears Prada's Emily Blunt was presented with the MaxMara "Face of the Future" Award. There was some major lovin' and fightin' goin on in Hollywood! Paris greeted her adoring public outside her house, Lindsay pulled an almost all-nighter @ Les Deux (she left at 3:30 am), Justin tried to protect himself from the flashbulbs by wearing a red hoodie pulled tight around his head when he left Parc but Ashlee wasn’t quite so concerned when she entered and left the club with a girlfriend. Michelle Trachtenberg, Eva Mendes, Josh Henderson, Woody Harrelson and Keyshia Cole navigated through the crowds at Parc, and Kate and Owen (in the Porsche) were seen leaving Teddy’s together! On the fighting side, there was a sidewalk scuffle that came close to hitting Paris' limo outside of Parc, and the boys in blue showed up to take someone down outside of Teddy's! Whew!

Here's part two of our coverage of Patrick Whitesell's big Oscar bash! We not only had our camera outisde the party to catch everyone's comings and goings, but we also had a source inside the party to give us the inside scoop: Vince Vaughn showed up "drunk as a skunk". Paris was "wasted", getting into a verbal argument first with some girl, then with Stavros, who kept trying to escape. In fact, you can see Stavros flirting with some blonde girl at the end of the video, is that what Paris was so pissed about??? Sean Penn hung with Kid Rock the whole night (kind of an odd couple, but ok). Martin Scorsese (who was mobbed by fans and photogs when he left) and Forest Whitaker showed off their Oscars, Jamie Foxx rolled in a white Bentley, Naomi Campbell partied with Kimora Lee Simmons, and Rosario Dawson, Ali Larter, Zhang Ziyi and Michelle Trachtenberg all looked gorgeous!

In the week leading up to the Oscars there’s a million parties around town, and Wednesday night was no exception! Michelle Trachtenberg, Nicky Hilton and beau David Katzenberg partied at new Hollywood hot-spot Winston's, while Daryl Hannah and Brett Ratner (who was gettin’ called out on his "bullshit" by an exec!) were at a party at the Chateau Marmont. Meanwhile, Joe Francis tried to “out” a local entertainment reporter at Hyde who did not want to be caught on camera! Maybe she just didn’t want to be caught on camera with him???

Penelope Cruz was huggin' on a hot look-alike (perhaps her sister, Monica?) outside of Teddy's! Michelle Trachtenberg was also there, with Pete Wentz, and an insider reported that Orlando Bloom was gyrating on the dance floor with a slutty-looking blonde! Brandon Routh took his "Lois Lane" for a romantic dinner over at Il Sole, while Virginia Madsen was practically busting out of her dress, Jason Wahler was signing autographs (???) and two randoms were street fighting outside of Hyde.

What a weird ass mix of people at Justin's performance at Avalon on Friday night! You've probably heard that Britney's exes, Kevin and Isaac, were both there and I'll just rattle off some of the others, Paris Hilton, Perry Farrell, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, Pamela Bach (David Hasselhoff's ex), Nick Cannon, Timbaland, Stacey Kiebler, Droopy Balls ... I mean, Cisco Adler, Michelle Trachtenberg, Joe Simpson, Brody Jenner -- okay, that's enough.
A couple highlights to look out for ... Nick Lachey getting pushy with a photog as he opens the door of his car; Fergie laughing with photographers as she gets into the car and almost pulls a Britney; and Pamela Bach with horrible extensions, making out gratuitously for the cameras with a much-too-younger guy -- see for yourself ...

It must have been "bizarro world" at Hyde, where Tara Reid looked gorgeous and under-aged Jesse McCartney (19) went in through the front door while Brandon Davis and Ian Somerhalder were denied entry! The boys snuck around the back, and after Brandon placed a few phone calls, they got in. Speaking of gorgeous, Michelle Trachtenberg looked absolutely lovely in a sparkly dress. Olivia Wilde, Michael Vartan, Dane Cook and Mark Cuban also made an appearance. Lookout for Jeffree Star, who shares his "very special Christmas wish" with us at the end!

How hot was Social last night? So hot that I can probably sell you on playing this clip with bullet points:

Not that you can necessarily tell from these pictures (which are a day or two old, but still irresistably appropriate to this story), but as of yesterday Michelle Trachtenberg's finally old enough to drink - and it looks like that's DJ AM's cue to show up on the scene! We caught the two leaving Urth Caffe around noon yesterday - the pair broke ranks and didn't even share a parting glance after realizing they'd been caught by our cameramen, but Michelle's non-denial denial of our inquiries later that night at Koi make us wonder if she might have had an especially happy twenty-first!
