Last night we caught a very cheerful Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo at LAX, and rather than looking jet lagged or acting grumpy with photographers, these two were all smiles!

Despite the break they took earlier this year, it looks like their relationship is stronger than ever...so does that mean we'll hear wedding bells sometime in 2010?

Last night Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey celebrated their mutual birthdays at Il Cielo, and it looks like they had a fabulous time! An X17 photographer on the scene tells X17online exclusively, "Nick and Vanessa were a bit shy when they left the restaurant, but you could tell they were still very much in love with each other. I guess that break they took earlier this year only made them stronger!"

Vanessa hit the big 29 and Nick turned 36, and we're guessing these two did even more celebrating when they got home ...

That's right, on and off couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo both have the same birthday - and it's today!

Nick and Vanessa's three-year relationship was on the outs for quite a while before they "officially" called it quits in June, but now they're "officially" back together!

After being spotted cuddling up in LA, Life & Style spied them out together at McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon in New York last Wednesday night.

"They seemed very laid back and were very friendly to the staff and fellow patrons," an eyewitness told the mag.

So it's on...for now. How long before it's off again?

Forget hooking up with his exes...looks like Nick Lachey may have found a new lady love!

We snapped the former boybander stepping out of Madame Royale last night with a mystery brunette, and we're not sure who she is, but from what we can see, she sure is a cutie!

I guess Nick's not interested in dating blondes anymore? Poor Jess...she probably thought she still had a shot!

Aww, poor Jessica Simpson! First she gets dumped the day before her birthday, and now it looks like her newly single ex-hubby doesn't even want her back!

Regarding rumors of the former Newlyweds getting back together, Nick tells People mag:

"I think it’s fun storytelling, but there's very little truth to any of it. I certainly have heard about her breakup and I wish her the best, as I’ve always done. Aside from that, there really is nothing to say."

Nick continued:

"I haven't talked to her in probably two years. I wish her happiness. That’s where it pretty much ends...I'm in a good place. I've learned, through years of not only being in this business, but being in relationships, that you have to take it as it goes. With every experience, you learn something about your life, and you try to take that and move on and be a better person because of it. We'll see what happens."

Hmm, guess she'll be rebounding with John Mayer!

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are finally admitting their relationship is over - but we told you loonnnggg ago!

More recently -- last night, as a matter of fact -- we caught Ms. Minnillo dodging our lenses, trying to avoid being seen with another man ...

Last week the couple had a final romantic dinner together at Il Sole (Brad to Jen took Anguilla to dump her and all Vanessa gets is pasta?! Well, I guess they weren't married ...).

Nick's rep told X17online the couple was still totally 'on' back on April 22 after yet another round of breakup rumors at the time.

Just days before that, X17 had this premonitory statement from a source close to the couple:

"Nick and Vanessa have already broken up and gotten back together a couple times. They’re both struggling with dead careers, for the most part, and Nick’s ready to move on — he has been for a long time."

Well, now it's official. Sorry, guys!

Now for the fun part ... who'll hook up with who next??? I've got one suggestion ...

The former boy bander and his, er, "actress" girlfriend attended the 20th Annual "A Time For Heroes" Celebrity Carnival on Sunday, which benefits the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Hey, it's a veeeeery important cause, so any and all celebs are welcome - even Nick and Vanessa!

Yesterday Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo made another rare appearance together at the vet's office, where they took Vanessa's dog Wookie.

As we previously reported, the couple's denied any break-up rumors, but are they just sticking it out for the sake of the pup?

Even though sources have been claiming that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are dunzo, Nick's rep has issued a statement exclusively to X17online telling us that the split rumors "are simply not true," and that the couple is "doing very well."

Yesterday afternoon the duo got lunch at Stanley's in Los Angeles, and as they made their way into the restaurant, Vanessa not so subtly linked arms with Nick, just in time for photogs to get a shot. Later on, Nick headed to the Lakers game, but rather than bringing his lady love, he arrived with not one, but TWO mystery women! Ok, so they could be friends, but what would Vanessa have to say about this!?

She HAS been dating Scrubs' Donald Faison forever, but just what was newly single Nick doing with his former fling (and ex-wife's BFF) Cacee Cobb yesterday?

The pair met for lunch at Casa Vega in Sherman Oaks but left the restaurant separately. Now that Nick and Vanessa are dunzo, is Cacee going to dump Don to hook up with the man she supposedly sided with in her BFF's divorce?

Course, Cacee claims she has "the best boyfriend in the world, I would never!", while Nick just said nothing!

Earlier this week, X17online reported that on-and-off couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo were officially dunzo after having "already broken up and gotten back together a couple times."

And now? A spy at the A|X par-tay last night tells X17 that Vanessa was hanging all over a guy... and not Nick!

"Vanessa was sitting on this dude's lap for a long, long time. It didn't seem like they were just friends," says the source. "They were playfully flirting all night and Nick was nowhere in sight."

Does this mean the former couple is actually moving on this time? Maybe Nick will somehow get back together with Jessica in the end!

I kinda don't really mind Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo as a couple. They've lasted this long, ya know? Clearly they're for real!
