I believe the paps did this (again). Yes Orlando had bad judgement walking away, but we all react differently during an accident. His passengers were not in need of dire emergency help. He probably thought 'What the F**k, just happend', and chose to get a breather. This was not a head on crash..

In the video (unless it's been edited out), one of the first things Orlando or another male bystander says is the paps shouldn't leave cuz they caused it. At first many paps buzzing around and then after he said that, several disappear. Only a few stayed to the end.

The police reports said a car cut Orlando off and the x17 photographer said he was the second car in back of Orlando chasing him. Who was the first car in back of Orlando and who cut Orlando off? Bet ya it was the paps!

they did take a test of Orlando at the hospital - he did not leave the scene (technically), and went straight to the hospital, so he was NOT drunk. whether they did a drug test is unknown. even if they waited hours (which the hospital is saying they didn't), your blood alcohol doesn't go down that quick, by time or drinking water. I think X17 is just scared of the lawsuit that would be coming. This happened right in front of my apartment, about 6 or 7 paps cars went racing down my street in an effort to chase this guy down, then cut Bloom off when he was trying to make a turn onto Vista, CAUSING the accident, it was a damn circus, 10 seconds after the collision photogs and video freaks were ALL over the scene, how else did they get there if they weren't chasing him????? Perhaps he walked away because of shock? And perhaps when the pap told him he shouldn't leave the scene it shook him out of shock and brought him back to reality? People in car accidents often have shock immediately following that causes them to act in a seemingly uncaring or aloft manner until someone gets them to realize what really just happened. The mind can immediately block out something it doesn't want to acknowledge until forced to acknowledge it. And the paps did a good thing for talking to Orlando and getting him to stay but people walking away from accidents they're involved in because of shock isn't abnormal.

Is it possible Orlando was trying to drive agressively to shake off the photographers pursuing his car? Why else the u-turn and sudden left on Vista. It's also possible he was watching in the rear view mirror if they were still following him, didn't see the one in front of him until it was too late and swerved into the parked car.
Regardless of how many photographers were in the area, a driver is always responsible for drving safely, right? Shouldn't Orlando have been driving at a safe speed and watching where he was going? I bet his insurance company will view this as "at fault" accident. (Don't lecture me about no-fault states....) That doesn't make him an innocent victim. Everyone agrees the average Joe would have to endure a field sobriety test and sitting in the back of a squad car while the injured friends are taken to the hospital. Why didn't this have to happen in this case?

It's kind of hard when you go to turn on a street and the fucking paparazzi have BOTH lanes of the street blocked and your ONLY choice it to hit a SUV bigger than you head on or try to avoid it and strick a parked car!! This was TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY THE PAPARAZZI'S FAULT, they were chasing him down using multiple streets to try to catch him AND running red lights and cutting off OTHER traffic in the process. The cops didn't arrest him simply because it WAS NOT HIS FAULT, he was NOT drunk nor was he on drugs!!!!!! The photogs jumped out of their cars as soon as the accident happened and got pics of him behind the wheel because THEY WERE THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED!!! I agree the photographers contributed to the accident. However, Orlando's car is the one that had a collision with him at the wheel. Just because there was no charge from the plice does not mean there was no wrong doing. He was driving a car that crashed into a parked car. I never said he hit the car on purpose. However, he was involved in an accident that will be viewed as "at fault" by an insurance company because the car he was operating collided with a stationary object.
If Orlando was already photographed and filmed so much before the accident, why would he need to drive using evasive manuevers to get away from the papparazzi? He could have called 911 and told the police of the dangerous manuevers of the papparazzi, as could his passengers if he was too busy driving. He also could have simply driven safely and let them snap away. How awful would it be to have pictures taken of one driving safely and being boring?
The situation would likely have not gotten out of control without Orlando participating in the cat and mouse game. If he had simply refused to participate, all that would have happened would be some more boring pictures of him.

However, people don't go from "high as a kite" to "behaving normally" in five minutes (five minutes from the accident to the ambulance arriving, according to the photographer). It was an accident. These things can happen to anyone. Especially if someone cuts you off. You react on instint, swerving your car to avoid theirs. He almost made it too. It looks like another two feet to the left, and he would have missed that car.
I find it funny though, that the pap witness giving his oh so credible account of the accident readily admits that he was the fourth car back in the chase.
