As you are aware, Mycal Bell's adult charges have been overturned but he still sits in shackles in an adult prison in Jena, Louisiana. All of us should be embarrassed that this is going on in America. All people are equal. racism is so lame.

After his adult charges were overturned, I heard that the District Attorney had 14 days to recharge Mycal Bell as a juvenile and he was allowed by law to keep Mycal Bell in jail for those 14 days while he made his decision on what new charges to hold Mycal Bell accountable for.

Mycal Bell's attorneys have now stated that there is no such law that gives the DA Walter Reed or Sheriff Carl Smith of La Salle Parish, Jena, Louisiana, the right to hold Mycal in jail. So the Parish of La Salle in Jena, Louisiana is pretty much just holding Mycal Bell as a hostage – outrageous!

What is exceptionally offensive to me is that even though Mycal Bell is charged with the 'kicking and beating' of Justin Baker -- no one knows for sure that he, Mycal Bell, actually did any of the kicking or beating.

Of all the witnesses at the scene of the fight (Black and White students), only one person (one of the guys who hung the noose) said he that saw Mycal Bell kick Justin Baker – he had ulterior motives, so who knows if what he said was true? But District Attorney conveniently took the word of ONE student (out of many) and opportunely charged Mycal Bell as an adult for man-slaughter and a number of other charges.

What is Walter Reed’s motive to charge these young men with these trumped up charges? It seems that the only reason that racist District Attorney Reed Walters charged Mycal Bell, Robert Bailey Jr., Carwin Jones, Bryant Purvis, Theo Shaw and Jesse Ray Beard for the kicking/beating of Justin Baker is because those 6 young people were the 6 students at the front of the group when the Black students assembled and walked together and sat under the White tree.

Reed Walters never forgot who 'led the march' to the tree and charged the 6 students WITHOUT any evidence that they actually participated in the kicking and punching of Justin Baker – even though some of the 6 has said time and time again that they were not even close enough to touch Justin Baker during the fight. However it was irrelevant to Reed Walters that they did not participate in the kicking and punching of Justin Baker, he wanted to prove to the 6 that if they had the courage to protest against what the Whites did, he would use the power of his pen and make them pay for standing up.

Even IF Mycal Bell did kick Justin Baker, he has already served 10 months and should be released. If he was charged as a juvenile he probably would have received some type of probation. As it is today, he has served 10 months which is probably "over payment" to the juvenile system so why is he still in jail?

The parents of one of 6 teens facing the possibility of years in prison took their plea for help to Congress on Tuesday, September 25, attempting to build on momentum gained last week after tens of thousands of people from across the country rallied to free their sons.

Black congressional leaders said after meeting with the parents of Mycal Bell that they would hold hearings and ask the FBI what it can do to intervene in the case. This process could take months and that means that maybe Mycal Bell would continue to sit in jail for months.

Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco as head of the state of Louisiana has the power (with the stroke of her pen) to pardon Mycal Bell, issue an executive order and do something to get him out of jail immediately. Whatever Congress can do might take weeks or months, but what Governor Blanco does can show results in minutes or hours.

I implore you contact Governor Blanco’s office and ask her to take a stand and to free Mycal Bell.

No, I can't believe he'd be stupid enough to allow himself to be photographed like this either, which makes a person wonder about some things. If somebody wants to set somebody else up or smear that person's reputation, Photoshop may be the way to go! I've seen fake photos before, and even celebrities like Jennifer Anniston have spoken against this type of thing, although in Jen's case it was a cut and paste job that "Redbook" did with her face and someone else hands and torso. She was p***ed! You don't have to use Photoshop or be an expert in a photo software program to get the feeling that somethings 'off' about a picture. In other pictures I've seen of De La Hoya on the Net, his face and neck are much closer in color tone than they are in most of these questionable pictures. His neck is also LONGER in other photos than it appears in Milana's pictures. There are also areas in which Milana's face has a funny kind of 'blurring' to it along the edge where her cheek is supposedly right next to his. One of De La Hoya's hands (the left one resting against the wall in one photo) has blurred edges where his hand supposedly meets the wall. Blurry or fuzzy edges, as well as extremely crisp edges can be dead give aways that work has been done to a photo. De La Hoya's head is also much too large in comparison to the rest of his body, and his lower body isn't normally built like a woman's (as is appears to be in some of these pictures). The people here who claim to be experts in Photoshop use would know that hair can be removed and replaced on a head; a person can be photographed separatly in another time and place and later digitally inserted into a photo, creating what is referred to as a COMPOSITE, which is what "Star" magazine admitted to doing with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on its cover a year or so ago; and you can change the position of body parts, limbs and even facial expressions if you want to! So, with modern digital technology, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, and I don't accept these photos at face value. Heck, Milana herself can't even admit to their 100% legitimacy and authenticity, so why should I assume that they are 100% what they APPEAR to be?! I've seen other photo manipulations and doctoring involving other celebrities, so this doesn't faze me one bit. Oscar may be a scumbag to some people - or even a lot of people - but that's totally separate from this issue. I hope he sues and brings forensics experts to court. Milana and the other woman will probably back down before that happens.

And I agree with the poster who says X-17 should keep the topic going. People's lives and reputations are affected by this type of abuse of technology. Let Oscar and Milana duke it out in court. Maybe some laws will eventually be created to function as guidelines so that celebrities and public figures can't have this type of thing done to them.
