We caught up with the Wedding Crashers star on his light blue scooter in Zuma Beach on Thursday, cruising along with mega music producer Rick Rubin. Hmm, think Owen's looking to switch careers or are they just pals?

Rick Rubin is a long-time friend of Owen's and he's drug-free. If Owen stays away from "chippers" like Kate and doesn't overdo it with the pot and booze, hopefully he'll be okay. He's VERY lucky to have such good friends and a loving family. LOTS of people with addiction issues don't have either. Owen needs to count his blessings, seriously (and he could SMILE once in a while, too - he might even feel better).
