Paris is right where she needs to be. She broke the terms of her parole. She'll get out soon for good behavior (maybe). But if she's still whining and bitching and moaning and crying, "it's not right! mom!" then she probably hasn't learned a damn thing.

A lot of the fault lies with parents. Maybe if they taught her about consequences..she would make better decisions in her life to keep her from landing herself in these situations. Her parents didn't do a great job raising her. Although, they did teach her to live/act glamourously..that is but a small piece of what life is really about. I like Paris, and don't blame her for her parents shortcomings. She really needs to take this time, and teach herself some things...since she obviously can't look to her parents for guidence... They are extremely biased and very selective with their reporting. They don't mention the fact that Paris is in a room with a view of the outside as large as a hotel suite. She has a special food menu (no jailhouse food for miss priss)a phone in her room she can use, a private bath and private toilet. She also has been playing ping pong. All of this is being reported on television, yet is conveniently left out of the reports here trying to garner sympathy for her. It's disgusting that she is in a facsimile of a Hilton hotel suite instead of in a normal jail cell like anyone else would be. She is in a part of the medical facility that is reserved for acutely ill patients - terminally ill, undergoing chemo, etc. So instead of serving 45 days in JAIL like she was sentenced to Baca is basically putting her up in a suite.

Get your facts straight - The DA's wife wasn't on probation for anything when she got caught driving on a suspended license. Paris on the other hand violated her probation 3 times - count 'em 3 times. She also never did her required alcohol education class. She's still being treated like a little princess with her cushy accommodations and special food and other privileges.

Ever since have known of her, I have found Paris Hilton's behavior disgraceful and embarrassing. I think being so young, pretty, wealthy, and famous has severely stunted her social maturity and damaged her perspective on life and ability to make sound judgments. That’s not to suggest she doesn’t bare responsibility; she does, but so too do her parents. I think they have and continue to fail her. I also think her lawyers (or whose ever decision it was) failed her when they pleaded out the case instead of going to trial; she probably would have won at trial. At the very least, she might have received a much shorter sentence. Despite the fact that I deplore drinking, let alone drunk driving, I am not a fan of the criminal so-called justice system, especially in California. What she did was wrong, but the punishment in this case did not fit the crime. It was excessive. A sentence between 7 and 10 days would have been much more fitting, and I think it would have gotten the job done (achieving justice).
