I agree with 9:35. They will be judged. Just wish (here on earth) that they could have kept there relationship private. Man & Woman is what our Creator intended. What is wrong with this world... & why are these people in the limelight? God Bless Opie & Bonanza & Censored T.V. & Billy Graham... To H with PORTIA & ELLEN.

they look drunk...

Loving stable couple. Unlike all the Christian hypocrites visiting brothels, doing coke and practising pedophilia.

Posted by: nela

I see that unfortunately women are still very discriminated in same sex couples, they are not as accepted as men,
pity!

Cute couple. They are making happy family.

They do look drunk. If they are, hopefully they didn't drive

so fake

It's nice to see so much support for Ellen and Portiam a nice couple who pay equal taxes like any other citizen. 10 years ago almost every comment would have been hateful. Obvioiusly times are changing. Of course there will always be small pockets of bible thumping homophobes. mouthing their usual anti-gay slurs.

Posted by: Anonymous

Women as a group pay equal taxes (actually more because they are a 52% plurality) and they don't have equal rights protection under the law either, so stop the whining as if gay people are the only discriminated class.

Ellen and Portia, and Melissa Etheridge, etc etc should be devoting equal time to campaigning for an equal rights amendment, especially as their bigger life obstacles come from being women even more than from being gay.

It amazes me how some state of their right to their beliefs, free speech, etc., and yet these same individuals want to silence anyone or group who doesn't believe that homosexual relations is normal or that same sex marriage is morally right. It also amazes me that these same individuals always describe a "Christian" as one who is a hypocrite and one who hates. Yes, there are people whom are hypocrites, including people who "say" they are Christians, but doesn't live Christ-like lives. There's also people (like most of the people that call themselves Christians that I know personally) who are not hypocrites, don't "go to brothels", don't "do coke", nor "practice pedophilia", as the one Poster stated, but rather, try their hardest to live their lives as Christ instructed, although they know they will always fall short on their own efforts, as we are all sinners. These same Christians that I'm speaking of also do not hate; in fact they love all of God's Children, and is why, again all the ones that I know personally, share what they believe, including in regards to homosexual relationships, but out of love, not hate. Those whom truly love Christ and truly live their lives to be Christ-like don't share their beliefs with another because they hate that person with whom they are sharing, but rather out of love; and also because our Lord instructed to witness of Him, His Words, and that He came to Earth in the form of man, as prophesized- He came as the sacrificial lamb for our sins, as the Lord loves his Children and sent a Saviour so that all who believe in Him and accept as their Saviour (evidenced by the Holy Spirit within them that guides them & the way that they live their lives)will have eternal life with Him, as well as His presence always with them in their walk on Earth. You may not see Him but will feel Him with you, especially in the most difficult of times. My Spouse and I are both severely disabled and live with great difficulties, that most could never imagine; If it weren't for our relationship with the Lord, and His getting us through each day, we could not have ever persevered.

I implore you to take the time to examine your beliefs, research, seek truth, and ask with utmost sincerity for the Lord to show you what is true, and while you read, again if you have already, the Bible, and ask to be revealed to you if indeed it is His inspired Word for His Children. If you are true in your sincerity and seeking truth, even if it means that, while it will reveal to you what you so desire to find true, it may also reveal to you something that you don't want to hear, He will reveal to you truth. Romans 10:17 "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Take a few minutes to sincerely pray to God and ask Him to show you and then give even just 5 minutes of your time each day to read (or read again) His Word, trusting he will reveal to you. Isn't your life worth that to try? God feels you are worth it...He loves you so much that He sent His Son, whom never sinned a day in His life, whom was perfect in every way, whom loves you and all of God's Children so much that He died for us so that we could live forever with Him and the Father. (Read starting out in John and then through the entire New Test. and then through the entire Old Test., and then again through the New Test., with a sincere heart, and you will have a better understanding of our Lord and why everything that was done was necessary. If you have difficulty with any part of, or sincere questions about any part, go to someone whom has known the Lord and His Word for some time and not a baby in the Word (We all are babies in the Word at some point) and one that you feel you can trust, and whom lives their life truly after God's heart, as evidenced by how they lead their lives and how closely they resemble what our Lord instructs in His Word, including, and especially, in regards to loving one another.

It's a shame that some who speak out against a behavior/action and their hate of the particular behavior/action, also speak in hate towards the person. It is also a shame that so many don't realize that just because one calls themselves a Christian, doesn't mean that they are, or that they are successful in living, or trying to live, a Christ-like life. A person could call themselves an intellectual...but it doesn't make it so. It is also unfortunate that so many quote the Bible yet do not know what it is saying, and so often because they take out of context, as they haven't read the entire reading of, nor have they read the prior, and related readings of and do not have a correct understanding about. I'd like to end with asking a question(s)- For those whom answer about Sodom and Gomorrah and other Bible readings with, "The Bible isn't God's inspired Word, but rather man alone wrote the Bible"... what if it turns out to be true that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and in its entirety.(After all, why would God only make certain that only parts of His inspired Word for His Children were present for us and not the entire thing...He is God after all, Creator of Heaven and Earth, Creator of mankind, Creator of all...God then could certainly provide for His Children that which is necessary and important for them and, not only make certain that His Word & instruction is provided, but also make certain that all is correct and complete?) Additionally, what if homosexual relations is indeed an abomination to God? If you knew these 2 things to be true, would it change anything for you? If you are in, or are looking to be in, a homosexual relationship, would such knowledge stop you from such a relationship, or cause you to seek His help with your desires and to seek what he wants for you and not your own? To be true to yourself, you must ask what if? If you are a heterosexual and have always expressed however, your belief in homosexual relationships, would such knowledge of the Bible's inspired Word, and of God's abomination of homosexual relationships, change your expressed approval of homosexual relationships? You must ask yourself, what if? Just some things to think about and what it is that you know absolutely to be true and not, and what you would do if you found out differently what you now believe to be true. Isn't it important that you have done all that you could to seek the truth... before defending, celebrating, or condemning, excoriating? Please don't go by what others say is in the Bible, whether or not they are "using quotes" nor how they interpret, before reading, studying, researching, for yourself first, and doing so again if you have in the past but didn't truly and sincerely seek, and putting aside what you want it to be saying and looking hard for what it is stating no matter your own desires. Lastly- What does the scripture, "Matthew 19:4-6" mean to you where Jesus was responding to the Pharisees? Also, "Genesis 1:27-28", and "1 Corinthians 6:9-10". If you're not absolutely certain that you know God's meaning in His Word, you owe it to yourself to ask Him to show you.
Just because people have differing opinions doesn't mean that there isn't a right and wrong answer; everything isn't an opinion, there are rights and wrongs...either one way or another. There's either a God or there isn't. He is the God of the Bible or isn't. Christ lived or He didn't. He is who He said He is or not. The Bible is either the inspired Word of God or it isn't. God either created male and female and intended for them to "be fruitful and multiply" or not. Christ either said to the Pharisees or not(in Mat 19:4-6)that "He which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said,For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife and they twain shall be one flesh". Christ either erred or not in that he did not include stating this of man and man and woman and woman. These are not opinions. There is a right answer and a wrong answer. Are you so certain of the answers to these that you feel without doubt that you don't need to seek any further the true answers to? Also, if it is indeed true that God exists, as the majority of the human race believes there is a God/Creator, and one disapproves of something in particular that God states is the way it is, who is right....Is the Creator of all right or the person that the Creator created? If you create something, and the rules to it, and if someone disagrees with any part of, does this change the rules of your creation? No, it's your creation, not another who just so happens to not like or not agree with your rules for your creation. Just some things to think about.
Please don't bother replying with some ignorant remarks, as it doesn't effect me, because I write this, not for approval or praise, nor looking for disapproval so to cause anger, contention, disputation, etc., rather only in true Christian love for all brothers and sisters and ask for you to consider what if your thinking that homosexual relations is wrong, and that it is actually abhorred by God? Be honest with yourself...would it make any difference...because one way of thinking is either right or wrong. Are you so certain that your way of thinking on this is right and are you so sure that it isn't worth considering and doing all that you can to know what the actual truth is? A true Christian wants you to be sure, as they love you as a Child of God and want for you the very best and, as they believe, eternal life with our Creator. So don't hate one's sharing with you of what they believe to be the truth because they want the best for you (not including here those who are not true Christians and speak out of hate and not love).
