I am a survivor of a highly abusive relationship. I still deal with my abuser as we have a child together. He went to counselling, church, counselling again etc...and guess what he learned. He learned how to manipulate these counsellors and he would come over to my house and tell me how they were smearing me and claiming I had the issues and he was justified in his anger but should direct it in a better way than hitting. Evenutally I phoned these groups he was involved with and to their surprise they had no idea that is what this abuser would do after pretending to be so remorseful. My abuser would come right over after a group and literally hold me hostage or keep me up all nite (irregardless of the fact I had an infant I needed to take care of). These men never change..Chris will say and do all the right things at the moment and come out looking remorseful. It will be an act and sadly and stupidly Rihanna will and has fallen for it. She will be abused again, I guarantee it. For Kanye or whoever else has an opinion of this guy, it is scary to think that they find this an incident that will pass. Abusing women is becoming an epidemic..My ex is a sociopath and my guess is so is Chris and Kanye is narcissistic and I truly hope that they lose their fan base..Like we don't support child molestors we shouldn't be supporting men who make their living off of us that feel beating a woman is okay...we are in charge of who gets to be famous and I think we are making some very bad choices.

TO 4:01 AM...I agree with your post about Christians supporting abusers..I was a church going person till the ex found a great support system in the same church I attended. He found out that he could admit everything he did to me and while shedding a few tears these christians forgave him, prayed for him and tried to get me to come in and get into counselling with him because he was ever so sorry and now a man of god. Sociopaths love this kind of stuff and my ex gravitated to it like he was metal and they were magnates. Of course when I refused to have anything to do with him in any capacity, I was now clearly the problem. This man did horrendous things to me, horrendous including trying to kill my baby while I was pregnant. I remember one time when I did not want to go to his house to make him and his equally abusive kids a thanksgiving meal.he was wearing dress shoese and he took the heel of his shoe and stomped down on the top of my foot, went i bent down in pain he punched me in the back of my head..then he forced me to go to his house and cook this meal.

To the other person who said my ex is not Chris..abusers all start somewhere and I can tell you that Rihanna took quite a beating for a 1st timer so this tells me that Chris is capable of anything. I do understand her not going to the police because I didn't either..they get all sorry and cry and beg for understanding as they work through their issues and that we are the only ones who can help them be normal..until one goes through this kind of emotional and physical abuse it is hard to understand. It's a process that leads to things worse and worse. It is never just hi, how are you and a punch in the face..it's a nice guy who starts to reveal some serious issues but by then you have seen the nice side and feel it is still there..but it isn't. Once they reveal themselves, there is no going back.

I love the analogy that Kanye brings up between OJ Simpson and Chris Brown. OJ did amazing, great things during his career. I can name numerous thing OJ did GREAT!
1.) He did a AMAZING job of beating the sh*t out of Nicole Brown Simpson...numerous times.
2.) He did a amazing job of cutting her head off of her neck. he did that like a pro!
3.) He did a amazing job of screwing up his kids life for the rest of their lives. Knowing that their dad killed their mother and having to live with him and pretend they love him. That's got to be mentally disturbing on so many levels.
4.) He did a amazing job of entering a room and holding 3 men hostage at gunpoint. Again he did that like a pro!
