Why Hasn't Rihanna Released A Statement?

Her publicist DID make a statement that said someting like "Rihanna is doing well. Thank you for your support...." And that was it. What else does she need to say "it hurt?"

Rihanna CANNOT "press charges" against Chris brown in a criminal case. The District Attorney's office must determine if they have enough evidence to pursue charges against brown as a defendant. At which point, the case becomes "The State of California Vs. Chris Brown" Rihanna would be a key witness. The only thing SHE can do to "press charges" is sue him in civil court (for money damages, like the Goldman family did to OJ Simpson). This girl is NOT the plaintiff, let her heal in PEACE, jeez.

I believe X17 is coming from the perspective of being a media outlet and hoping for something truthful and of substance from the Rihanna team rather than reporting on speculation and unreliable sources. I think X17 is not out of line being a media outlet, much like a newspaper, in wanting truth and not just rumors. I think they are looking for something along the lines of "Rihanna thanks all of her fans for their support during this difficult time." Being this is an actual criminal case however X17 is not going to get much more than that straight from Rihanna's team due to issues with the investigation I am guessing.

Anyone in LA knows what is happening now. Chris Brown's attorney is bribing everyone in sight to try to get them to treat this incident like a minor parking ticket.

When Lindsay Lohan was arraigned on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges (drunk driving, reckless driving, driving over 100 mph at night, possession of cocaine, etc), her attorney had a private meeting with our DA, Steve Cooley, who then decided it would be in the public's interest to drop all charges against her except the smallest misdemeanor.

Cooley got a hefty contribution to his election campaign (he was reelected, unfortunately), and Lindsay got off with a token 81 minutes of jail time.

It's like saying every actor or actress needs to inform the public of every argument they have with their spouses behind closed doors. Just b/c she is famous does not make her obligated to share her story. She's probably still in shock, still loves the guy and isn't even sure what she's going to do. Never mind releasing a statement to the nosey media! Domestic violence is serious, however, how many women come forward and take a stand after the first, second or even third violent incident? Hardly any ! Sometimes it takes women years of abuse before the acknowledge it. Get off this chic's case!

I love how so many people say it is none of our business yet, you still come to the gossipr sites and post opinions about the situation. If it weren't for these sites, you would not have even known about it at all. PLEASE!
