Aggravated harassment charges against LINDSAY LOHAN's father have been dismissed following a mix up over a phone conversation with his on/off fiancee.
Michael Lohan was arrested in April (09) amid claims he threatened to kill Erin Muller during a March (09) phone call when she tried to end their relationship.
The born-again Christian appeared in court in Central Islip, Long Island last month (May09) to enter his not guilty plea, and told reporters he'd be cleared, stating, "By no means did I threaten to cause harm to Erin or myself... they're a great couple but I really doesn't know why Sam hurts Lindsay again by going to parties when Lindsay is not invited. A normal person does know you'll hurt your lover by doing this. WELL, AFTER THAT CHATEAU-PARTY (and maybe some yelling at sam's house cause Lindsay felt hurt) THEY MUST HAVE HAD A GOOD NIGHT TOGETHER (celebrity-gossip said Lindsay stayed there for the night).

I agree with so many of you who posted. Here are my two cents. No matter how you look at it, Sam should not have gone to the party without Lindsay. Samantha seems like a very smart, sensitive person. Surely she knew that it would hurt Lindsay. If you really love a person and are committed to that person, you take their side, not your friends or family. How many times are Samantha’s friends going to act like high school losers and reject Lindsay? And how many times is Samantha going to look the other way because she does not have the guts or inclination to stop them? To stop them because her love and concern for Lindsay is stronger that her concern for her petty friends, or intrusive family? A while back one of Lindsay’s friends said that whenever they have a fight, it is Lindsay who tries to make amends. As the friend put it, “Lindsay is always the one to crawl back.” I find this very sad. Here is a 22 year old girl in love with a 31 year old woman, and it is the 22 year old who tries to work things out? Samantha is a very independent person, and it seems to me that she wants to keep her independence even if it hurts Lindsay. I don’t doubt that Samantha loves Lindsay, but she wants to have her cake and eat it too. The problems they had before are not just Lindsay’s, they are also Samantha’s. Both brought problems into the relationship. And unless both are willing to resolve them, they will have the same end as before. In a way I can’t wait till October when Lindsay goes to Massachusetts. I think they still need more space to think things over. If I were Lindsay, I really would think it over. Do I want to be with someone who does not stand up for me?
