she had a good body once, in her twenties. the HBO show that encouraged worthless values for women ("raped in the nest," per O. Stone) made her famous and she was probably chosen for it because she was, at the time, a b-list actress at best. the fact that she happened to be the central character is coincidence. she's certainly not attractive by hetero male standards with the exception of her body and that's passing. she's married to that gay midget who ran over someone and killed them in ireland many years ago and got off by way of his celebrity-dom and who does musicals on broadway. she really couldn't exist as anything other than what she is -- whatever that is -- "cultural icon"? awesome.
