A Return to Melrose Place?

With the new Beverly Hills 90210 a hit, execs at the CW are thinking about bringing back that other '90s drama-fest Melrose Place.

Talk in Hollywood says a return to the famous apartment building is in the early development stages, and that the new "MP" could be on the air as early as next season.

Melrose Place was originally spun off from 90210 in 1992 with Jennie Garth's character bridging the two shows. Likewise, she was used in the re-launch of the new 90210.

The original stars of the series included Andrew Shue, Heather Locklear, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Grant Show, Daphne Zuniga, Marcia Cross and Doug Savant.

Rob Estes joined Melrose Place later in the show's run - and now stars as the father on the new 90210.
