After ten weeks at the top of the charts, someone's finally dethroned Flo Rida's "Low" - and it's none other than Usher!
The pop star saw his new single "Love In This Club" jump fifty spots up the Hot 100 this week after receiving heavy radio burn all week long. ("Low" didn't fall too far, though - right now, it's sitting pretty at #2!)
"Love In This Club" is Usher's first chart-topper since 2004, when he scored a staggering four number-one hits - "Yeah", "Burn", "Confessions Part II", all off his album Confessions. (He also topped the charts with "My Boo", a duet with Alicia Keys)
Only time will tell, however, whether Usher's next album, titled Here I Stand and scheduled to be released on June 8th, will win the singer the same success - but between "Love In This Club" and last year's overpoweringly awesome "Dat Girl Right There", we're getting our hopes up early!
"Love In This Club" also marks the return of producer Polow da Don to the pole position, although his absence hasn't been nearly as long - just last year, Fergie's Polow-produced "Glamorous" went to the top of the charts!
(If you haven't been keeping up with Polow's productions the last two years, then shame on you - his remix of Fantasia's "When I See U" alone ought to put him at the top of the list for anyone shopping for beats!)
