The attack by the local frat boys who probably attend Pepperdine is unwarranted but if you really want to get back at them you should go to Sick Dicky on Tuesday nights at the Malibu Inn in Malibu right across the street from the pier. They hang out there.

Not sure what to make of all this. Paparazzi have been around as long there have been cameras and important people to document - the difference now is that there really are no civil boundaries between personal space and public space anymore. Paparazzi as agents of the consumer are not really to blame - we all are. Everyone reading this blog, everyone who reads the tabloids, everyone who watches television. What's so disturbing about this footage is not so much that a mob of cromagnons feigning surfers violently intimidates a group of equally odious cameramen from doing what they're rewarded to do, it's that we actually feel empathy for them. Take a look at the footage of x17 paparazzi harassing and stalking McConaughey and his girl and you begin to understand the anger that might have fueled the Malibu beachanderthals a bit. Of course, I'm making a broad leap in assuming the Pepperdine frat boys and girls actually watched this footage (of McConaughey and pregnant Camilla leaving the Malibu hospital on June 20) before running the x17 crew off the beach.

amazing to the surfers of this city. I think that shows alot what ass that city has. Ok so they were taking some pictures. They were not standing right next to him. They were many feet away. Was this all over one man or just to make a point. The camera crew was not bothering anyone. I think that it shows what lack of respect that city has for other people.
