LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, nee Destiny Hope, has legally changed her name to her more famous moniker.

The family petitioned the Los Angeles Superior Court to change the 15 year-old's name to her long-time nickname, which originated from "Smiley," according to the family. Her new middle name is a tribute to her famous singer/actor father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

The teen made headlines this week with her controversial upcoming Vanity Fair cover photo in which she appears to be topless, covered with a sheet. Cyrus spoke out, saying she was "embarrassed" by the photos shot by Annie Leibovitz.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Time Magazine released The Time 100 list today, naming Miley Cyrus, The Dalai Lama, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as 100 of the most influential people in the world.

The list is divided into five subsections: Leaders and Revolutionaries; Builders and Titans; Artists and Entertainers; Scientists and Thinkers; and Heroes and Pioneers.

Some of those selected for the Artists and Entertainers category include Miley Cyrus, George Clooney, Mariah Carey, Judd Apatow, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Rock. Donny Osmond, a former teen star himself, wrote about 15 year old Miley Cyrus, "Within three to five years, Miley will have to face adulthood … I hope Miley enjoys every minute of this brief experience before her inevitable reinvention takes place. It’s going to make a fascinating book someday. I’ll read it.”

Those named in the Heroes and Pioneers section include Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Oprah Winfrey, Tony Blair and Lance Armstrong. George Clooney was chosen to write about Pitt and Jolie and he said, “It is one thing to talk about the problems of the world and quite another to actually try to change things … There are hundreds of people who could be honored for their good works, but I’ve seen Brad and Angelina firsthand, and their commitment together is truly impressive.”

Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were included in the Leaders and Revolutionaries category, as well as the Dalai Lama, John McCain and George W. Bush. Some of those selected for the Builders and Titans category were Steve Jobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Rupert Murdoch and Radiohead. Scientists and Thinkers named to the list were Paul Allen, Michael Bloomberg and Mark Zuckerberg.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - According to a source for the New York Post, singer Mariah Carey did not sign a prenuptial agreement prior to marrying boyfriend Nick Cannon. The source stated, "There was no pre-nup - there wasn't time."

Carey and Cannon were married on Wednesday at the home Carey just bought on Windmere Island off the southern coast of central Eleuthera, in the Bahamas, a source close to the singer said.

In Touch Weekly is reporting that Cannon, 27, teamed up with Jacob & Co to design the $2.5 million ring that he gave Carey, 38. The store's rep confirmed to the magazine that Carey's new 17-carat rock has an emerald-cut light-pink diamond in the center with two half-moon diamonds on each side surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds set in platinum.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - After her Vanity Fair photo scandal, it was reported yesterday that Disney had pulled Miley Cyrus out of her first scheduled appearance since the story broke earlier this week.

Cyrus, 15, was due to attend a media party in Orlando today to film the Disney Channel Games a charity competition with some of her fellow Disney Channel stars. However, Cyrus did make an appearance at Disney World yesterday to pose with Minnie Mouse.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actor Jason Biggs tied the knot with fellow actress Jenny Mollen on April 23 at Los Angeles City Hall.

The two met on the set of My Best Friend's Girl and have been dating for about nine months. Reports say the two are currently on their honeymoon in Hawaii.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Musician Pete Doherty, 29, is set to go free on Tuesday May 6, after serving only 29 days of his 14 week jail term, reports The Sun.

The Babyshambles singer spent 98 days in jail after refusing to take drug tests during a suspended sentence for drug possession. Last month, The Sun reported that Doherty was shooting up in the Detox unit of London’s Wormwood Scrubs.

Doherty's sentence has been cut in half and an additional 18 days were deducted as part of a plan introduced last summer to ease jail overcrowding. Additionally, another two days are being subtracted from his sentence due to time spent in police custody.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon obtained a marriage license on the Caribbean island of Eleuthera, a source confirms to People.

Marriage laws in the Bahamas require the couple to be in the country for at least 48 hours, to be over the age of 16 and to have obtained a valid marriage license within 90 days, and a source confirms that Carey and Cannon followed all these prerequisites.

Carey and Cannon were married on Wednesday on Eleuthera, in a small, private ceremony. Sources have revealed that the two did not sign a prenuptual agreement.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears left Los Angeles at 5 AM this morning to head to Kentwood, Louisiana for younger sister Jamie Lynn's baby shower. Britney is currently at her mother's house, and the baby shower will be held there tomorrow.

According to a source for Life & Style, “At first, Jamie didn’t think it was a good idea for Brit to go. He thought it might create chaos in Kentwood, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to put Jamie Lynn — or Britney — in the middle of that. Britney can’t travel without Jamie’s permission, so she worked really hard to talk him into it; it was so important for her to be there for her little sister. He finally gave in, knowing it’d be good for Brit and Jamie Lynn to finally see each other.”

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Victoria Beckham is suing the label that produced her Rock & Republic jeans. The Daily Mail suggests Beckham may be claiming "loss of earnings" to the tune of about $100 million.

Beckham signed on with Rock & Republic in September of 2004 but split with her fashion partners two years later, amid rumors of a rift between her and the designer.

Then, Faser Ross, owner of Kitson, claimed last month that Beckham wasn't in the store often enough to promote her clothing line.

Legal papers have not yet been made public.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Variety reports that Lindsay Lohan will appear on the season finale of ABC's Ugly Betty, in addition to five episodes of next season as Betty Suarez's old schoolmate.

Apparently the character Lohan plays wasn't nice to Betty in high school, but now that Betty has an enviable career and life, she's trying to patch things up.

The episode will air on May 22, 2008.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Iron Man snagged the #1 spot at the box office this weekend, raking in $100.7 million. Iron Man was directed by Jon Favreau and stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark (aka Iron Man).

Made of Honor took the number two spot and earned $15.5 million, while Baby Mama was third with $10.3 million.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Los Angeles County Court spokesperson Allan Parachini confirmed to X17 today that attorneys for Britney Spears have indicated that she will show up for the hearing tomorrow regarding the custody of her boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Spears, 26, and her legal team will argue that she should be able to spend more time with her kids due to her progress over the past few months. Spears currently has limited supervised visitation with her boys.

The hearing starts at 8:30 AM tomorrow.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears returns to the hit CBS show, How I Met Your Mother as Abby, and this time she will play a love interest for Neil Patrick Harris' character, Barney.

Spears, 26, previously guest starred on the show back in March, where her character had crush on Josh Radnor's character, Ted. However, things didn't work out between the two, and Barney and Abby become an item. In the episode, titled "Everything Must Go" the new “couple” decide to go to the bar to flaunt their new relationship in Ted’s face.

"I had such a great experience the last time I was on the show that I couldn't wait to come back," Spears said in a statement today. "I was really looking forward to working with this cast and crew again."

The episode airs on Monday, May 12.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - X17 can confirm that actors Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson are engaged. A rep for Johansson stated that it "is true" and the couple is "thrilled."

Johansson, 23, and Reynolds, 31, have been dating for over a year. Reynolds was previously engaged to singer Alanis Morissette for 2 years, but the couple called off their engagement in June of 2006.

The couple have not set a wedding date.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears arrived around 8 am PT at the Los Angeles County Courthouse for a progress hearing in her custody case with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Federline was given full custody of the couple's two boys, Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2, after Spears was involuntarily committed to UCLA's psychiatric ward on January 4.

After Spears' release from the hospital and the subsequent conservatorship assigned to her father, Jamie, the pop star regained limited monitored visitation with her sons.

If Commissioner Scott Gordon who is presiding over today's hearing, deems Spears competent, he could amend the original custody decision and grant more visits to Spears.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears was sworn in at the Los Angeles Family Court around 9:30 AM PST to give testimony at a progress hearing in her custody case with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Spears was wearing a mod-print dress - chocolate brown with a polka dot and square pattern - with a cropped sweater and heels, and had her hair blown our straight with part down the middle. She walked with hands folded in front of her and looked attentive. Spears was talkative with her parents Jamie and Lynne who accompanied her.

As Spears was sworn as someone who could provide testimony under oath during the hear, she gave her legal name as "Britney." Commission Scott Gordon then asked Spears to state her full name at which time she provided "Britney Spears."

The hearing started around 9:02 a.m. PST in room 831 of the Los Angeles County Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles.

This is the first time Spears has faced her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, in court regarding the custody of their two children, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

The pop star's ex was wearing a light cream pinstripe suit with earrings in both ears and appeared calm and confident with his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan and his publicist, Elliot Mintz, at his side.

At approximately 9:35 a.m. PST, the media and everyone in the courtroom not related to the case, was asked to leave the room under the Family Code 214 which states: "Except as otherwise provided in this code or by court rule, the court may, when it considers it necessary in the interests of justice and the persons involved, direct the trial of any issue of fact joined in a proceeding under this code to be private, and may exclude all persons except the officers of the court, the parties, their witnesses, and counsel."

Members of the media, including an X17online reporter, are waiting in the hallway outside the courtroom now.

"Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" was the event's theme, and celebrities teamed up with some of the biggest names in fashion for a memorable evening. Giorgio Armani served as this years honorary chair, and George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour co-chaired the event.

Armani outfitted Roberts, as well as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, David and Victoria Beckham, George Clooney and girlfriend Sarah Larson and Beyoncé Knowles. Holmes wore a floor length red sequined gown with bright blue shoes, Beckham chose a white longsleeve lace dress and Knowles sported a pastel peach toned creation. Fashion icon Wintour wore an intricate long sleeve silver Chanel gown inspired by X-Men's superhero Storm.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria wore a stunning ruffled burgundy Marchesa gown, while supermodel Gisele Bundchen chose a pastel pink Versace cut out dress. Actress Kate Mara wore a brilliant yellow ruffled gown by Zac Posen, new mother Jennifer Lopez selected a green Alberta Ferretti gown, and Ellen Barkin and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen opted for simple yet classy Diane Von Furstenberg dresses.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears has now left the courtroom twice today during her custody hearing with Kevin Federline. Spears first exited the room around 10 a.m. PST and then court spokesperson Allan Parachini announced a break at approximately 10:30 am PST, with both Spears and Federline leaving the courtroom.

Ahead of the first break, Parachini said before the courtroom, "Please make room for a member of the court," just ahead of Britney's leaving the room, holding the hand of her attorney Blair Berk!

Spears headed to an elevator, possibly to go to another floor for a bathroom break, while Federline presumably stayed inside the courtroom.

Approximately 15 minutes after returning from her first break, both parties in the hearing left the room for another break.

Spears emerged with "eyes wet," still holding the hand of attorney Blair Berk, followed by her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears, attorney Stacy Phillips and two bodyguards.

Kevin left with his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan and a bodyguard.

Reporters at the courthouse speculate that the parties could be headed to a private room to discuss a joint offer to present to Commissioner Scott Gordon.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Fox News is reporting that Mariah Carey and new husband Nick Cannon do have a prenuptial agreement, despite earlier reports to the contrary.

According to a source for Fox News, Mariah said, "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a prenup is smoking something!"

Carey and Cannon were married on May 30 on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, in a small, private ceremony. The couple obtained a marriage license on the island as well.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Court has adjourned for the day in Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's custody hearing at the Los Angeles County Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles.

Spears left the courthouse around 12:10 pm PST and Federline is expected to be leaving momentarily, perhaps after his attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, speaks to the press.

The hearing began, as most family court hearings do, as being open to the public and to the press, but after both parties were sworn in, Commissioner Scott Gordon asked all un-involved parties to leave the room under Family Code 214 which reads: "Except as otherwise provided in this code or by court rule, the court may, when it considers it necessary in the interests of justice and the persons involved, direct the trial of any issue of fact joined in a proceeding under this code to be private, and may exclude all persons except the officers of the court, the parties, their witnesses, and counsel."

Both parties spent the better part of the late morning in separate, private chambers with their attorneys before reconvening in the courtroom and being dismissed.

It is still unclear what the outcome of today's hearing was except that the next progress hearing will be July 16. We expect a press conference by court spokesperson Allan Parachini shortly, as well as statements from Kaplan.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears was awarded extended visitation rights with her two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, today in a progress hearing that was part of the ongoing custody battle between the pop star and her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The hearing took up the entire morning at the Los Angeles County Courthouse, where the press were barred from courtroom after both parties were sworn in.

No details of Spears' extended visitation rights were given but Kevin Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said this, in a press conference after that hearing:

"This represents a step moving forward ... Obviously it's something more than it has been and it's a step in the right direction. The order that was in place has remained in place, with the exception that there has been some graduated expansion of time. Other than that, nothing has been changed with the order.

I think that's a function of the recognition of the progress to date and the signs of progress ... that have been recognized by Kevin and will be recognized by the court in due time.

Over the past few months, one would say that the daily situation has been stabilized ... The children are doing great; I think they're doing really great. And that's the key question and that's what this is all about. Whether these children will have the benefit, at some point in the future, of having both parents participating, then that will occur ... but at this point, we'll take it one step at a time."

When asked, specifically, about Spears' progress, Kaplan said, "There's a conservatorship in place and whether or not the signs of progress that have been seen are a function of the stability and structure that Mr. [Jamie] Spears has brought to the picture, I would assume so."

Federline's spokesperson, Elliot Mintz gave this statement on behalf of his client: "Kevin is extremely pleased with the way things went today and everybody seems to be hoping and believing that there are two children who will be enjoying two parents who love them and care for them."

Spears' parents Jamie and Lynn released this statement through a spokesperson: "We are so pleased with Britney's progress and we are very appreciative of the court's recognition of this progress."

That spokesperson confirmed, "There will be another progress hearing on July 15 to determine how the modified custody agreement has evolved."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actor Charlie Sheen and his fiance Brooke Mueller are set to marry on May 30, according to numerous reports. Sheen's rep, Stan Rosenfield would neither confirm nor deny the date, but he did tell X17 that the couple is "happily planning a wedding" for the early summer, and that "Sheen is looking forward to spending private time" with Mueller.

Sheen, 42, and Mueller, 30, have been engaged since July of 2007. This is the first marriage for Mueller, and the third for Sheen, who has two daughters, Sam, 4, and Lola, 2, from his previous marriage to actress Denise Richards.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears hadn't seen her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears since October of 2007, so when she returned to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana for Jamie Lynn's baby shower, it was quite a reunion. Jamie Lynn discussed what it was like to see her sister for the first time in seven months and talked about her pregnancy exclusively with OK! Magazine.

Britney Spears, and her father, Jamie Spears, flew by private jet from Los Angeles on May 2 to Kentwood, and when the two sisters saw one another, says Jamie Lynn, "She just ran up. She obviously couldn’t pick me up. We gave each other a big hug. It was a really good feeling." Jamie Lynn added, "It was wonderful to be able to spend time with her and just be girls again. We painted our nails and did stupid stuff, and we had our private time too. To be able to be in the privacy of our own home and just be sisters again was wonderful."

Britney, 26, even gave Jamie Lynn, 17, advice on motherhood. Britney told her sister, who is due in June, “There are going to be some long nights, but it is completely worth it.” Britney even approves of Jamie Lynn's boyfriend Casey Aldridge; according to Jamie Lynn, "She loves Casey. She’s met him a bunch of times. They were riding four-wheelers and stuff together. They get along real well." The Spears sisters keep in touch on a regular basis, not by computer or phone calls, but rather, by text messaging. Jamie Lynn says, "I don’t like talking on the phone. That’s not my thing. Britney is a texter too." And finally, what did the elder Spears sibling bring to the baby shower? At the time of the interview, Jamie Lynn was wondering the same thing. "She has a special thing but hasn’t given it to me yet. She won’t tell me what it is, but she said she didn’t want to give it to me that day. I’m really excited to find out what it is."

Jamie Lynn is due to have a baby girl in June, and she also opens up about her pregnancy to the magazine. When asked how much weight she's gained, Jamie Lynn responded, "I don’t know the exact amount. I’m sure it’s up in the 20s [pounds]. I’m pretty normal, I think. It’s a beautiful thing. I’m not going to worry about gaining weight. I’m just trying to stay healthy. I’ve been liking chocolate milk a lot. I’ve been drinking a glass at least once a day." Though the teenager suffered from morning sickness during the first trimester of her pregnancy (and as a result didn't gain any weight), she says, "Now, I feel great!" The best part about being pregnant? "It’s when she kicks, when you know she’s there. When she kicks me, I love it. I want to squeeze her already. I do talk to her, you know, like all moms talk to their babies. I just tell her how much I love her."

However, like most other mothers, Jamie does want to get her body back. "I want to get back to my old weight, but you can’t work out right away. I don’t want to stay this way. I’ll just stick to my treadmill and weights, and I won’t eat cheese every day. You don’t have to pay somebody a bunch of money to make you skinny again. If you want to be skinny, you have to do it yourself. And I love to swim, so I know I’ll be doing a lot of that." When asked about her career, Jamie Lynn says, "Right now, I am so focused on the baby that hasn’t even occurred to me. You never know what may happen a year from now. There is the possibility I’ll go back, but right now, I just want to be a good mom."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Sun is reporting that Amy Winehouse is currently being questioned by the police on suspicion of drug offenses at a police station in East London. Last January, pictures from a video of Winehouse allegedly smoking crack cocaine were published by the newspaper.

Scotland Yard said the questioning has to do with a video they received of the troubled singer. Scotland Yard released the following statement to X17:

"Around 1pm today a 24-year-old women from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug. She remains in custody."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears has been given "extended" visitation, according to Mark Vincent Kaplan, attorney for Spears' ex-husband, Kevin Federline; and X17online has learned exclusively that the singer's visits with her sons will remain on course with her current schedule of three days a week, but with slightly extended hours, a source close to the case says. Spears will be able to see Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, from 9 AM to noon three days a week, as she does now, and on occasion from 4 PM to 7 PM, with the presence of a court appointed monitor.

Though Spears' court-ordered psychological report cites an overall improvement in her mental health, overnight visits are well down the road due to lingering concerns over Spears' still fragile mental state, according to our source. Most media reports attribute her steady improvement to her father's role as her co-conservator along with his attorney, so when the conservatorship is re-evaluated later this summer, it could potentially have a negative on Spears' custody case, if the powers of the conservator are reduced or if the conservatorship is discontinued. On July 31, Commissioner Reva Goetz will conduct a progress hearing on this matter.

If Jamie Spears' conservatorship powers are reduced or eliminated, it may be harder for his daughter to prove to the court that she is mentally stable and will remain so, whereas if the conservatorship remains in place, the pop star may have an easier time convincing the court that she is ready for overnight visits or even partial custody.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Times Online UK reports that troubled singer Amy Winehouse, 24, was released from police custody after being arrested yesterday on suspicion of drug offenses.

The Grammy winning singer was held and questioned by police for over nine hours yesterday after she handed herself in at an East London police station. Scotland Yard said that the arrest was in connection with a video from January that appeared to show Winehouse smoking crack cocaine. She was also allegedly shown snorting Ecstasy and cocaine and admitting to having taken six Valium. The footage was obtained by The Sun and stills from the video were published in the newspaper. Winehouse has not been charged.

Scotland Yard released the following statement yesterday: "Around 1pm today a 24-year-old woman from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug. She remains in custody." Today a spokeswoman said today that the 24-year-old woman, based in Camden, north London, was released on bail until later this month pending further inquiries.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Jason Castro, 20, is the latest competitor to be booted from American Idol, leaving the final three spots to David Cook, Syesha Mercado and David Archuleta.

Last night, Castro sang Bob Marley's I Shot the Sheriff and Bob Dylan's Mr. Tambourine Man, during which he forgot the lyrics. Simon Cowell even told the aspiring singer, "I'd pack your suitcase."

In a statement today, Mel Tyler of Midas Promotions stated that “the extremely compressed time frame along with unforeseen logistical complications compelled us to move the event later in the year to ensure a show commensurate with the level of success of these world class Artists and the people of Dubai.”

Another producer added, “Mariah and Fergie are disappointed that they won’t be able to perform. They had scheduled this one special event in their calendars and were looking forward to performing for the Dubai fans.”

However, Carey is scheduled to perform at the Time 100 party this evening in New York.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - According to Life & Style, John Mayer arrived at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami Beach at 12:30 PM today, where Jennifer Aniston is staying. The two were photographed together last week by the pool, looking very much like a couple.

Additionally, In Touch Weekly reports that after filming the comedy Marley & Me in Miami for the past three months, Aniston has big plans for the wrap party of the film, including a special performance by Mayer. According to the magazine, the celebration will take place at Nikki Beach in Coconut Grove on May 10, where Mayer will perform three songs. A source reveals that the party was originally scheduled to take place on May 9, but “Everything was changed last minute so John could do this for her. LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Liv Tyler and her husband, musician Royston Langdon, have decided to separate, her representative confirmed to People.

Her rep gave the following statement to the magazine: "Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation. They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family's privacy be respected at this time."

This week Tyler was spotted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala without her wedding ring, sparking rumors of a split. Tyler, 30, married Langdon, 36, in March of 2003 in a private ceremony in the Caribbean. They have one son together, Milo, who was born in December of 2004.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that Lindsay Lohan has been dropped from the upcoming film The Manson Girls. Production was slated to start in early July in Los Angeles, and Lohan was set to play Nancy Pitman, a surfer girl who became intrigued with Charles Manson, but sources are reporting that producers couldn't get any actors or actresses to co-star with the 21 year old actress.

The Manson Girls was written by Matthew Bright (who will also be the director) and produced by Elie Samaha, Donald Kushner, and Brad Wyman through Junction Films. Additionally, Lindsay's father Michael told X17online exclusively that he was upset about Lindsay signing on for the film because she had agreed to do it for only $75,000.

No word yet on who will replace Lohan on the film.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Los Angeles based music producer Al Walser is offering to pay presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her daughter Chelsea $1 million to star in his upcoming music video, "Yes I Can."

Walser confirmed to X17 that he contacted Clinton because “she is the most famous lady in the world and it’s something that she has not done yet – this would be a win-win situation for the video and for her.” He added, “it gives her a chance to show the world she is an entertaining lady, or an entertainer as well.”

Walser hasn't yet heard back from Clinton or her reps, but he said that he is looking forward to having a creative meeting with the senator. The song is a parody of Barack Obama’s campaign slogan "Yes We Can" and the theme of the tune is "anything is possible."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Hulk Hogan's son Nick Bollea, 17, plead no contest today in a Clearwater, Florida courtroom to felony charges of reckless driving, and a judge sentenced him to eight months in jail, 500 hours of community service and five years of probation according to The Ledger.

Back in August of 2007, Bollea crashed his yellow Toyota Supra into a palm tree and left his friend, passenger John Graziano, critically injured. During the sentencing part of the hearing, numerous witnesses said Bollea was drag racing on wet pavement at the time of the crash.

Bollea apologized for his role in the accident and said, "No matter what has been said, every day I think about John. There will never be a day I forget about this."

The victims's father, Ed Graziano, made the following statement to the court: "John was my first born son, and the first chance to carry on my family name." Describing the day before the accident, he said John "was healthy, he was safe, and he was strong. He was a hero. He was a United States Marine. He was willing to put his life in harm’s way to protect his country’s freedom, [but] what Al Queda could not do to my son, Nick did to my son in minutes."

As part of the plea agreement, Bollea's attorneys requested that the teenager serve no more than one year in county jail with five years of probation. Without this part of the plea agreement, Bollea could have faced up to five years in a Florida state prison.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - According to The Hollywood Reporter, MTV has just greenlit a show with Justin Timberlake and FremantleMedia North America. Timberlake, David Schiff and Cecile Frot-Coutaz are the executive producers, and Maira Suro is the executive overseeing production for MTV.

The Phone is a game show that pits contestants against one another and the clock in order to accomplish a mission and win a cash prizes.

Tony Disanto, executive vice president of programming and series development said, "Genre-busting and reinvention is at the core of what we do, and 'The Phone' does just that. LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Michael Jackson avoided a foreclosure auction of his Neverland Ranch after an investment company purchased a loan on the property, a spokeswoman said on Sunday, May 11. According to the Los Angeles Times, the loan was purchased by Colony Capital LLC and was the latest deal to keep Jackson from losing the 2,500 acre Santa Barbara County ranch.

Back in March, Jackson and his creditors, Fortress Investment Group, reached an agreement to postpone the auction until this week, and Colony Capital LLC spokeswoman Caroline Luz told the press that the auction has now been canceled.

A statement was released by Jackson's reps saying that the singer was "pleased with recent developments involving Neverland" that would allow him "to focus on the future."

Neverland Ranch had a Ferris wheel, a roller coaster, game arcades and a zoo with elephants, giraffes, orangutans and other exotic animals. Jackson purchased the ranch 20 years ago for $28 million.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - First Daughter Jenna Bush married longtime boyfriend Henry Hager on Saturday (May 10) at her father's 1600-acre Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas.

The couple exchanged their vows in front of more than 200 close friends and family, and Bush family friend Reverend Kirbyjon Caldwell officiated the ceremony, according to CNN. The bride wore a white silk organza beaded Oscar de la Renta gown without a veil, while the groom wore a dark blue suit with powder blue tie.

The wedding party were dressed in hues of greens, blues, yellows and lavenders, the White House said. The White House declined to release many details of the ceremony, citing the family's wish for privacy, but President Bush did reveal that "the wedding was spectacular. It was all we could have hoped for...we're mighty blessed."

President Bush said the sun set over the lake as his daughter and Hager exchanged their vows. Jenna's twin sister, Barbara was the maid of honor and there were 14 bridesmaids.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Over the weekend X17online spotted hot new couple Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer sharing some very intimate moments together at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel pool in Miami, Florida.

Insiders for X17online revealed that Mayer was "really laid back," and that Aniston was following his every move. "If he got into the pool, she followed. When he left the pool she did the same 10 seconds later." The source added that Aniston appeared very happy as she was "laughing a lot" and clearly enjoying herself.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - According to The New York Times, Jimmy Fallon has been named as the third host of NBC's Late Night. He will be replacing Conan O'Brien, who replaced previous host David Letterman.

"Jimmy is more than just a likeable guy and a great comedian, he is genuinely interested in what people have to say," stated Ben Silverman, co-chair of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios at a press conference today.

Fallon will likely make his debut as the new host of Late Night in June of 2009.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - According to DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com, Tori Spelling will co-star in the new spin-off version of the hit 1990's teen drama, Beverly Hills, 90210. Spelling played good-girl Donna Martin in the original series, which ran for ten seasons.

"I am excited about it," Spelling told Us Weekly in April when asked about the new version. "In some way, every show that followed 90210 was a remake of 90210," she added. "For the fans' sake, I am really happy for them."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears was reunited with her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, on Mother's Day, just days after a Los Angeles County court granted her extended visitation rights.

Spears' boys arrived at her Beverly Hills home around 9 AM on Sunday, and Spear's father Jamie was spotted taking the boys for a ride in their favorite wagon and snapping pictures of his daughter and his grandsons. The boys left around 6:30 PM, and afterward, the mother-of-two took her mother Lynne to the trendy southern European eatery Sur in Beverly Hills where she dined twice last week.

Meanwhile, Spears' pregnant 16 year-old sister Jamie Lynn was in the family's hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana on Mother's Day and X17 spotted the younger Spears with her boyfriend and the father of her baby, Casey Aldridge, attending a local church.

Spears has been spending time with her mother, from whom she was recently estranged; the two flew back from Kentwood together last Sunday (May 4) after attending sister Jamie Lynn's baby shower. Spears and her mother were out this Saturday (May 10) morning when Spears treated her mom to a coffee from Starbucks to kick off her Mother's Day weekend.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Miley Cyrus is teaming up with John Travolta on the big screen and possibly in the recording studio. Cyrus, 15, and Travolta, 54, are both lending their voices to the upcoming animated Disney movie Bolt, and Travolta’s wife, Kelly Preston, told E! Online that the two could be making music together as well.

“Johnny may sing with Miley,” Preston said at the Step Up Women’s Network’s Inspiration Awards luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Sunday, May 11.

Preston added that Travolta’s 8-year-old daughter, Ella, is a huge Cyrus fan. They first met Cyrus when she opened for the Cheetah Girls nearly two years ago. “We [now] know Miley very well,” Preston said, “and she’s a sweetheart.”

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears was involved in a minor car accident around 2:10 PM today at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Hillcrest Road in Beverly Hills. Spears' rear ended a 2003 maroon Ford Explorer, and sustained damage to the front of her white Mercedes SL. Spears' bodyguard was in the passenger seat, and no one was injured in the accident.

Spears remained in her vehicle, while her bodyguard stepped out and talked to the woman who was driving the Ford Explorer. The Explorer was then seen following Spears' to her Beverly Hills home around 2:30 PM.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Newlyweds Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey had quite a soiree at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California last night with 100 of their close friends and family members. Cannon rented out the theme park and threw a surprise party for Carey, who he married on May 30 in the Bahamas.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Many American Idol fans are hoping that David Archuleta will win the competition, but his difficulty performing Chris Brown's "With You" last night could have hurt his chances.

Archuleta struggled with the lyrics and even the judges noticed - Randy Jackson criticized his choice of songs and Simon Cowell likened his performance to "a chihuahua trying to be a tiger."

One of the final three will be eliminated tonight, and Archuleta will battle it out against Syesha Mercado and David Cook. Last night, Cook gave a stellar performance of Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" and he even earned praise from Cowell as the best performer of the night, which could mean Archuleta won't make it to the finals next week.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Madonna has plans to build a school for girls in Malawi, according to OK! Magazine. X17online contacted a representative for Madonna, but calls were not immediately returned.

Her lawyer told the magazine, "A task force of four prominent Malawians has already been formed to head the project which will be on the scale of what Oprah Winfrey has in South Africa. It is a multi-million dollar project and we will get the real costs in the next two weeks."

According to the magazine, the pop superstar is currently awaiting approval from the Malawi government to approve the adoption of David Banda, her two year old son. This Thursday, it is expected the adoption will become official, and though Madonna won't be present at the hearing, David’s sole surviving parent has endorsed the adoption.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - In an interview today with The Today Show’s Natalie Morales, airing tonight on Access Hollywood and tomorrow on The Today Show, Angelina Jolie confirmed that she is expecting twins.

Jolie confirmed the news in a side-by-side interview with her Kung Fu Panda co-star Jack Black. Black let the news slip during the interview, and then Jolie followed up with her own confirmation.

“It’s confirmed? Is it two?” Morales asked. “Yeah, yeah, we’ve confirmed that already,” Jolie replied. “Well, Jack’s just confirmed it actually.” Morales asked, “So you’re having twins?” and Jolie nodded in response. When asked if she knew the sexes of the twin babies, Jolie said, “We would like to keep that private.” Star Magazine previously reported that Jolie is expecting twin girls.

Jolie also said that she would "possibly" stay in France to deliver the twins, and she talked at length with Morales about her family life.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - According to Star Magazine, Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg fainted at the Gen Art Styles Fashion Show on Tuesday night in Manhattan's Soho neighborhood. An insider who was standing next to the actress when the incident occurred tells the magazine, "One minute Michelle was talking, and the next thing I know I hear a thump and Michelle was on the ground. It was really freaky."

Trachtenberg's agent and publicist were standing next to her when she blacked out and immediately assisted her. A party staffer fetched a bottle of water and a cup of orange juice for the 22 year old actress, and another ran to a local restaurant to get a basket of bread. Another insider told the magazine, "Michelle drank both beverages and hate half of the basket...Michelle kept saying was she has no idea what caused her to faint, especially because she only [fainted] one other time many years ago."

Trachtenberg went outside for 15 minutes to get some fresh air, and rejoined the party for another 45 minutes, where an eyewitness says Trachtenberg acted as if it never happened, "Michelle was really cool about the incident and was smiling a few minutes after it happened."

Trachtenberg did not sustain any injuries from her fall, and later that night, she was spotted up at 1Oak at a party for Kanye West.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears, her father Jamie Spears and Mel Gibson are on their way to Costa Rica, to stay at Gibson's ranch on the Guanacaste Peninsula in Samara.

Most celebrities stay at the Four Seasons Resort at Peninsula Papagayo, but Spears opted to stay at Gibson's estate instead. X17online also contacted several locals in the area, who said it was news to them that the pop star and actor were on their way.

Though the two seem like unlikely friends, they were spotted dining together back in March, and in December of 2006, Gibson even showed his support for Spears when he said:

On the show, which aired today, Degeneres stated, "For the first time, I am announcing I am getting married." As soon as she made the announcement, the audience stood up and wildy applauded Degeneres who added, "It's something that I've been wanting to do...we're very excited."

Degeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, have been dating for nearly four years.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Last night, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz celebrated their upcoming nuptials with family members and several close friends at Teddy's lounge at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

Prior to meeting up at the Roosevelt, Wentz dined at Mr. Chow with his father and soon to be father-in-law, Joe Simpson, while his fiancee was spotted with several friends, including Nicole Richie at Kiki de Montparnasse, a trendy lingerie store on Melrose Avenue. Around midnight, Simpson and her entourage (including older sister Jessica Simpson) met up with Wentz and his friends at Teddy's.

The wedding is set to take place on Saturday at Simpson's parents' house in Encino, California.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Will Smith is behind the lease for the New Village Academy in Calabasas, California, which will be an independent pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade school opening this fall.

The school's motto is "Spiral Up!" and in the mission statement, the school says, "We have created an innovative learning environment that emphasizes the pursuit of personal excellence as the catalyst of both group advancement and individual prosperity." NVA plans to renovate the new school site with new play equipment and new furniture, as well as paint and carpeting.

The campus was previously home to Indian Hills High School, an alternative school for grades 10-12, which will be moved to another location this fall.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are planning a second wedding, and a source close to the Grammy winning singer revealed to MSNBC that the ceremony will take place in New York City within the next six weeks.

The source also said that Carey, 38, wants to make her second ceremony "an over-the-top event," and that she "wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids.” The source is also reporting that supermodel Naomi Campbell is confirmed to be on the guest list.

Carey and Cannon were married on May 30 on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, in a small, private ceremony.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was number one at the box office this weekend, bringing in $56.6 million. The second installment of The Chronicles of Narnia was directed by Andrew Adamson and stars Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian.

Iron Man continued to hold on strong, snagging the number two spot and bringing in another $31.2 million. To date, Iron Man has made over $220 million domestically.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - According to Fox News, Maria Markova, 22, a New York City college student is suing Lindsay Lohan, claiming the actress took her mink coat without permission and kept it for over two weeks.

In the lawsuit filed on Monday in Manhattan's state Supreme Court, Markova says Lohan, 21, took the $12,000 golden sheared mink coat while at the nightclub 1 Oak in New York City on January 26. Markova's lawyer, Merrill Cohen, claims Lohan was sitting next to her client, and when she left the coat was gone, and shortly after that, Markova spotted Lohan wearing the coat in a photo in OK! Magazine.

Cohen says she called representatives for Lohan and demanded the coat be returned, and Markova finally got the coat back on February 14. The lawsuit asks for unspecified damages. Lohan's lawyer, Blair Berk, had no comment.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Katie Holmes will be making her Broadway debut this fall, according to Us Weekly.

Holmes, 29, will join John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson in All My Sons, a drama written by the legendary Arthur Miller. The story concerns a factory that sold faulty parts to the U.S. Military during WW2, and Holmes is set to play the part of Patrick Wilson's fiancee.

Holmes began her career as the star of the hit show Dawson's Creek, and has since made the transition to the big screen, starring in films such as Batman Begins, Pieces of April, and Go.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Doctors have determined that a cancerous brain tumor caused Senator Edward M. Kennedy, 76, to have a seizure over the weekend, according to Yahoo! News.

Preliminary tests administered after Kennedy's seizure show that the cause of the seizure was a malignant glioma - a tumor in his left parietal lobe. His treatment will be decided after more tests, but the standard treatment includes a combination of radiation and chemotherapy.

Kennedy has been in a Boston hospital since Saturday, when he was airlifted from his Cape Cod home immediately after the seizure.

In a joint statement issued by Dr. Lee Schwamm, vice chairman of the Department of Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Dr. Larry Ronan, Kennedy's primary care physician, they said, "He has had no further seizures, remains in good overall condition, and is up and walking around the hospital."

The doctors added that Kennedy will remain in the hospital "for the next couple of days according to routine protocol....he remains in good spirits and full of energy."

Kennedy's wife, Victoria and their children have been by his side since Saturday, but they have not released any statements to the public.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Pete Wentz talked to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show this morning for the first time since his wedding to Ashlee Simpson on Saturday. The Fall Out Boy singer discussed married life, the honeymoon and also confirmed that he and Ashlee Simpson "have signed a pre-nup."

Wentz joked that he and Simpson are holed up in their basement in Los Angeles with "blow up palm trees." When asked if they would have an official honeymoon, Wentz did say yes, and he also reported that Simpson is "very happy" and has legally changed her last name to Wentz.

Seacrest asked about baby names, and then suggested that Wentz has a baby on the way, to which Wentz laughed and responded, "Ryan, this baby has not been confirmed."

When asked about Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo, Wentz said, "I don't know anything about what's going on with them...I'm so busy clearing up my own rumors!"

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Music mogul Lou Pearlman was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison this morning for creating schemes that conned his investors out of nearly $300 million, according to The Orlando Sentinel.

However, during Pearlman's sentencing in U.S. District Court this morning, Senior U.S. District Judge G. Kendall Sharp offered Pearlman an incentive: for every $1 million he gives back to investors, he will get one month off his sentence.

In January of 2007, Pearlman fled the U.S. and was found six months later at a resort in Bali, Indonesia. Pearlman was then handed over to U.S. authorities and indicted by a federal grand jury in Orlando, Florida on five counts of bank, mail and wire fraud. Among his offenses, Pearlman falsified bank accounts, corporate and personal income-tax returns, as well as an accounting firm.

Pearlman began his career by founding Transcontinental Airlines Travel Services Inc., and he later switched into the music business, creating superstar boy bands such as the Backstreet Boys (pictured at left) and 'N Sync in the mid 1990s.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears' father Jamie Spears has quit his job as a caterer in order to be a full-time conservator for his daughter, reports ContactMusic.com.

According to court documents, Jamie Spears has taken on a full-time position as co-conservator, earning $2,500 a week for the position, as well as the $10,000 lump sum he was given to cover expenses for his first month monitoring Spears and her estate. The court papers also state that it was necessary for him to quit his catering job due to the responsibilities of being a conservator which "have required (his) full-time attention".

In February of 2008, Jamie Spears was appointed co-conservator of his daughter's legal and financial affairs, along with court-appointed observer Andrew Wallet. The conservatorship has had a positive impact on Spears; in recent months she has appeared healthier and happier and even gained extended visitation rights with her two sons; Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The owner of New York City's Prime nightclub and Suzie Wong Saki Lounge has offered to settle Lindsay Lohan's most recent lawsuit and buy her a blonde mink coat, just like the one she was accused of stealing earlier this year.

John "J.E." Englebert told OK! Magazine, "I know what it's like to have mistaken identity. Many times people take the wrong coat thinking that it's theirs at my nightclubs. I am offering to take Lindsay on a mink shopping spree with me, to have the coat of her choice."

He also said that he plans to help settle the lawsuit filed on Monday by Columbia University student Masha Markova, 22. Markova accused Lohan, 21, of taking her mink coat without her permission and keeping it for over two weeks back in January.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - In a recent interview with Health, Sex And The City star Kristin Davis discusses her life, her charity work and also reveals that she once battled alcoholism.

The journal asked Davis, 43, her secrets to looking so great for her age, and she replied that she takes certain measures to take care of her body, including abstaining from alcohol. Davis said, "I’m a recovering alcoholic. I’ve never hid it, but I’ve been sober the whole time I’ve been famous, so it wasn’t like I had to go to rehab publicly."

Her Sex And The City character, Charlotte often enjoys cosmopolitans, but that isn't the case for Davis. She says, "It’s caused a lot of confusion out in the world. I get sent many a Cosmo! I never drink them. I believe [alcoholism] is a disease. I don’t think you can mess with it. There was a time when people who didn’t know me well would say, 'Couldn’t you just have one glass of champagne?' And I would say, 'No.' I’m doing well. I still have occasional bad days. Why risk it?"

The Emmy nominated actress is also a global ambassador for Oxfam International, and she frequently travels to Africa to help women and children in need.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Rocker Steven Tyler has checked into the Pasadena Recovery Center, according to Us Weekly. When asked for a comment, a rep for Tyler told X17online, "I don't know anything about it," and said that he left a message for the band's management.

The rocker told told Britain's Independent newspaper in 2007, "Of course, I did way too many drugs. I sunk to my knees and lost everything." Tyler, 60, has reportedly been sober for over twenty years, after a trip to rehab in the 1980s after the insistence of his fellow band members.

Tyler has four children - daughters Liv Tyler, Mia Tyler, and Chelsea Tallarico, and a son, Taj Monroe Tallarico.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - After a record-breaking 97.5 million votes were tallied, 25 year-old David Cook of Blue Spring, Missouri, was named the winner of the seventh season of FOX's American Idol at the end of tonight's (April 21) two-hour live season finale.

Cook went up against fellow finalist David Archuleta and each performed three songs, with Cook singing a final tune, "Time of My Life," written by Idol songwriting contest winner Regis Hamm as his victory piece. He also sang "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," "Dream Big," and "The World I Know," while Archuleta performed "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me," "In the Moment," and "Imagine."

Tonight's final included performances by Bryan Adams, Donna Summer, George Michael, Graham Nash, the Jonas Brothers, One Republic, Seal, ZZ Top, and Gladys Knight. Jimmy Kimmel, Mike Myers, Robert Downey, Jr., Ben Stiller, and Jack Black made appearances.

Cook is the seventh Idol to be crowned, joining past winners Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, and Jordin Sparks. All of the winners were awarded a major recording contract and a management contract.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actress Cameron Diaz stunned bystanders at the Santa Monica Pier yesterday (May 21) when she took a break from shooting the upcoming film My Sister's Keeper and revealed a bald head. Diaz didn't actually shave her head, instead she donned a prosthetic cap to hide her hair, but the look is dramatic for the 35 year old blonde beauty.

The plot of My Sister's Keeper follows Anna (played by Abigail Breslin), who was conceived in-vitro as a kidney donor match for her elder sister, Kate (played by Sofia Vassilieva). Anna ends up suing her parents for the right to make her own decisions about how her body is used when she learns of the planned kidney transplant. Diaz will play Anna’s mother, a former defense attorney, who returns to the courtroom to defend herself and her husband when their daughter sues them.

Victoria’s Secret supermodels Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller and Miranda Kerr, among others, will strut down the catwalk in the holiday-themed lingerie runway show, which also includes musical performances, red carpet interviews, model profiles and a behind-the-scenes peek at "the sexiest night on television." LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Production is currently underway for Walt Disney Pictures' Hannah Montana: The Movie, starring teen actress and singing sensation Miley Cyrus. This will be the 15-year-old's first full-length feature film, and filming will take place in and around Nashville, Tennessee, as well as Los Angeles, California.

Peter Chelsom will direct the music-filled comedy adventure based on the Disney Channel's hit television series, Hannah Montana, in which Cyrus plays a teenage girl who lives a secret life as a pop star. The film features Cyrus' father Billy Ray Cyrus, and Hannah Montana series regulars Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Mitchel Musso, Moises Arias as well as Melora Hardin, Margo Martindale and Ugly Betty's Vanessa Williams. Hannah Montana: The Movie is scheduled for a Spring 2009 release.

The Disney Channel series, Hannah Montana reaches more than 164 million unique total viewers worldwide and has held the number one spot among children 6-14 on U.S. cable television for the past two years. Cyrus' 70-date concert tour, "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds" was a sell-out and among the top-grossing tours of 2007. Cyrus recently finished her first solo album, which is scheduled for release in

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Though numerous reports have been circulating about Victoria Beckham returning to ABC's hit show, Ugly Betty, her rep just told X17online that "the door has been left open for Victoria to return, but at this time there are no plans for another appearance."

Last season, Beckham appeared as herself in an episode in which she was locked in a cupboard by publishing executive Wilhelmina Slater, played by Vanessa Williams.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull took the number one spot at the box office and had the second biggest Memorial Day movie opening ever, according to studio estimates on Sunday.

The fourth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise took in an estimated $126 million, which is the biggest debut for a film in 2008. Additionally, after just four days in theaters, the film already holds the number three spot for total 2008 box office earnings, behind Iron Man (number one) and Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who! (number two).

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Oscar-winner Benicio del Toro was the unanimous choice for the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival for his role as Che Guevara in Steven Soderbergh's Che, a four-hour film about the Latin American revolutionary.

Lifetime achievement awards went to actor-director Clint Eastwood (whose film The Changeling, starring Angelina Jolie debuted at the festival) as well as French actress Catherine Deneuve, who appeared in the dark comedy, A Christmas Tale.

The Best Actress award went to Brazil's Sandra Corveloni for her role as a pregnant single mother of four in Line of Passage. Turkey's Nuri Bilge Ceylan earned the Best Director award for his drama, Three Monkeys. The award for Best Screenplay went to Belgian brothers (and two-time Palme d'Or winners) Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne for The Silence of Lorna, a film about illegal immigration. The runner-up for the Grand Prize went to the Italian drama Gomorrah, while another Italian drama Il Divo won the Jury Prize.

The Palme d'Or was awarded to The Class, a drama based on the bestselling memoir of French teacher Francois Begaudeau. The film was shot documentary style and featured a cast of amateur teenage actors from different backgrounds. Actor and director Sean Penn, 47, who serves as the leader of the Cannes jury told reporters, "It's simply everything you'd want a film to give you...in a world that hungers for education and a voice, it just touched us deeply."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Hollywood legend Sydney Pollack, famous for his directing, producing, and acting work in films like Out of Africa and Tootsie, died today (May 27) of cancer.

Pollack passed away in his Pacific Palisades home, surrounded by his family. He had been diagnosed with cancer nine months ago.

As a director, Pollack was first nominated for an Oscar in 1969 for They Shoot Horses Don't They?, staring Jane Fonda. He was nominated again in 1982 for Tootsie, a comedy staring Dustin Hoffman. But it wasn't until 1985 that Pollack won his first Academy Award for Out of Africa, staring Robert Redford and Meryl Streep. Pollack was named best director and the film won best picture.

Pollack played roles in such films as the 2007 legal-thriller Michael Clayton; opposite George Clooney in Leatherheads shot just last year; in Woody Allen's 1992 film Husbands and Wives; and in Robert Altman's The Player, in 1992.

Born July 1, 1934 in Lafayette, Indiana, Pollack was the son of a pharmacist. He moved to New York when he was 17 and studied acting under legendary coach Sanford Meisner. He eventually spent two years in the Army and then moved to Los Angeles to begin making films.

Pollack is survived by his wife and three children.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actress Kirsten Dunst is opening up about her stint in a Utah rehab earlier this year, telling E! Online's Marc Malkin that she sought help at Cirque Lodge not for alcoholism or substance abuse, but for depression.

“I didn’t go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse,” Dunst told Malkin. The 26 year-old actress, in an interview during a break from shooting All Good Things in New York, said she was going public with her mental health issues to dispel rumors she said have been "painful for my friends and family ... Now that I’m feeling stronger, I was prepared to say something.”

Dunst said that despite being successful in a glamorous industry: “We’re all in the same boat together. Depression is pretty serious and should not be gossiped about.”

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Sharon Stone has touched off a minor media scandal by saying in an interview last week at the Cannes Film Festival, that she thinks the recent earthquake in China could be a result of bad "karma" for the country.

In a brief red carpet interview, Stone told the Cable Entertainment News of Hong Kong, "I'm not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else. And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and then I thought, is that karma? When you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?"

The May 12, 8.0-magnitude earthquake in China's Sichuan Province killed more than 10,000 people, left more than 30,000 missing, and injured nearly 300,000.

In response to Stone's statement, the owner of one of China's largest cinema chains has threatened to boycott the 50 year-old actress' films. Ng See-Yuen, owner of the UME Cineplex chain and the chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers, said it is not the job of actors to allow their personal political beliefs to affect their comments on this recent natural disaster in China, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - George Clooney is back on the market according to In Touch Weekly which reports that the famous actor and perennial bachelor has broken up with girlfriend Sarah Larson after a nearly year of dating the former Las Vegas waitress.

Clooney recently moved out his Los Angeles home, according to the magazine, and Larson moved out her belongs at the same time.

"He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her. The truth is they had little in common and he just doesn't want to be tied down," said the weekly's "inside source."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Newlyweds Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz announced on the Fall Out Boy singer/guitarist's website, FriendsOrEnemies.com today that Simpson-Wentz is pregnant with the couple's first child.

In a blog post, the couple wrote:

"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

Simpson-Wentz, 23, and Wentz, 28, wed on May 17 at her parents' Encino, California home. The couple began dating in the fall of 2006 and announced their engagement April 9.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears' conservatorship has a probate hearing scheduled for 1:30pm today to check on the pop singer's progress since the last conservatorship ruling.

Spears is not required to be there, and a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Superior Court told X17online that there is "no confirmation that she's going to appear." However, her presence would certainly be in her best interest as she is trying to regain control over her life and prove to Commissioner Goetz that she has changed for the better over the past several months.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Bill Murray's wife of more than 10 years, Jennifer Butler Murray is accusing the Academy Award-nominated actor of drug addiction, abandonment, adultery and physical abuse according to the Charleston Post and Courrier.

Murray's wife cites the allegations as grounds for divorce, according to a complaint filed on May 12 in the Charleston County family court.

Murray's wife is also seeking a restraining order to keep the actor from her Sullivan's Island home and asking that the court determine if the couple's premarital agreement is valid. The Murrays signed the premarital agreement prior to their marriage on July 4, 1997 and it stipulates that if either spouse files for divorce, both parties shall retain all of their separate property, waive any right to alimony or support and maintain responsibilities for their children. The Murrays have four young sons together; Caleb, Jackson, Cooper and Lincoln.

According to the complaint, Jennifer Murray moved into the Sullivan's Island home in 2006 with the couple's sons due to her husband's "adultery, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, abusive behavior, physical abuse, sexual addictions and frequent abandonment." According to the complaint, this was the home in which Murray allegedly abused his wife in November of 2007. The documents claim that Murray "hit his wife in the face and then told her she was 'lucky he didn't kill her.' "

X17online contacted Murray's attorney, who had no comment on the matter.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Though Sharon Stone has publicly apologized for suggesting that the recent earthquake in China which killed 68,000 people was due to bad "karma," Christian Dior has announced that the actress' advertisements for the brand will be pulled.

Christian Dior China released the following statement today: "Due to some customer reaction we have decided to pull her image from all of the department stores and from all of China. We just want our customers and fans to realize that her personal comments are not related to the company and of course we don't support any type of commentary that will hurt the feelings of our customers."

Stone, 50, also issued a statement saying: "Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people. I am willing to take part in the relief work of China's earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people."

Last week, Stone made the now infamous remark to Hong Kong's Cable Entertainment News, "This earthquake happened, and then I thought, 'Is that karma? When you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?'"

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Supermodel Naomi Campbell was accused of six offenses when she answered bail at the Heathrow police station today, according to BBC News.

The Crown Prosecution Service said Campbell has been charged with three counts of assaulting a constable, which carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison and a fine of up to 5,000 pounds ($9,872). Campbell also faces one count of disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, which is punishable by a fine of up to 2,500 pounds ($4,936), and two counts of using threatening, abusive words or behavior towards cabin crew, which comes with a maximum penalty of 1,000 pounds ($1,974).

The alleged assault happened on April 3 on a British Airways flight which was scheduled to leave Heathrow Airport for Los Angeles. Her attorney, Simon Nicholls said Campbell, 38, was "bitterly disappointed" to learn that she will be prosecuted and he told the press: "She respects that decision and she hopes this matter is dealt with expeditiously."

Campbell will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court next on June 20, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Today MTV announced that Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Rainn Wilson and Anna Faris have been added to the already stellar list of presenters for the 2008 MTV Movie Awards.

Previously revealed presenters include Ben Stiller, Sarah Jessica Parker, Will Ferrell, Lindsay Lohan, Steve Carell, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Liv Tyler, Seth Rogen, Megan Fox, Edward Norton, Jennifer Hudson, Dwayne Johnson, Anne Hathaway, James Franco, Rumer Willis, Emma Stone, Brendan Fraser, Katharine McPhee and Danny McBride. Additionally, Coldplay and The Pussycat Dolls will perform at the awards show and debut new music.

The 2008 MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by comedian Mike Myers, and will be broadcast live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Sunday, June 1 at 8pm/7c.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney's court-appointed attorney, Samuel Ingham told LA Superior Court commissioner Reva Goetz today, during a 90-minute hearing, that he believes Spears is "not yet fit" to participate in the legal proceedings regarding her father's conservatorship over his daughter's estate.

Ingham said Britney's medical condition is "fluid" because of her ever-changing treatment, according to an Associated Press report.

The wire service also states that Spears' attorney said it could be "harmful" for Spears to participate in her upcoming July 31 probate hearing so it is expected she will not appear.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Though Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Angelina Jolie has given birth to twin daughters, People has confirmed that it is not true, and a source told E! Online that Angelina has not yet given birth.

A rep for the Academy Award-winning actress told People, "Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France."

Entertainment Tonight also reported that Jolie and Pitt decided to name their twin girls Isla Marcheline (after Jolie's late mother Marcheline Bertrand) and Amelie Jane (after Pitt's mother, Jane).

Jolie, 32, is currently in France with her partner Brad Pitt, 44, and their children Shiloh, Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller were married this evening (May 30) at a Beverly Hills estate in Beverly Park before a small group of friends and family.

It is the third marriage for Sheen, 42, who was previously married to actress Denise Richards, with whom he has two daughters. That married ended in divorce in 2006; Sheen's first marriage, to actress Donna Peele, lasted for only six months in 1995.

The Two And A Half Men star had been engaged to Meuller, a real estate agent, since last summer.

Recent reports have suggested that Meuller may be pregnant but a source close to the couple tells X17online that the newlyweds are most certainly not expecting ... yet! However, "they would love to get pregnant very soon," the source tells X17.
